I dunno man....it's not the strength which bothers me but the masturbatory nature of the matches.
I've only played a few games thus far this expansion but every one was nothing more than both players racing against the other to complete their quest. There was no thought process or board interaction involved. I know things will settle but this expansion feels, 'weird' to me but I can't explain why.
Incanters Flow needs to be nerfed into oblivion and Ignite a big slap on the wrist, 3 mana at least.
Ignite is literally just a much weaker forgotten torch from LoE. It only needs nerfed because of Auctioneer and Refreshing Spring Water. They need to remove Auctioneer and hit Spring Water again.
Incanter's Flow should be limited. "Next 3-4 spells you draw have their cost reduced by 1."
I LIKE THE META ! there are at last 5-6 classes that have really good decks and the other ones are really close to it besides priest, but really now no one likes priest. This is the first time i had lots of fun playing an exp cause of so much decks you can build on launch and that they don't get dominated by 1 or 2 decks, it's kinda YU-GI-OHish the games don't last for 30min and you can do so much in the time you are given.

There, fixed up your Incanter's Flow change, since your suggestion would literally be doing the same.
Agreed completely. There are definitely some balance changes to be made, but that is pretty much a constant. Folks would do well to remember, that there will literally always be cards and decks outperforming a majority of others, and banning those cards just elevates the next best cards to "broken" status.
I'll never forget the time someone seriously advocated for a nerf to chillwind yeti. He wrote this whole diatribe about how Innervate plus the four cost was horribly broken, and how the druid hero power added the extra point to get past Sen'jin Shieldmaster while still having a living yeti, at which point the game was essentially over.
Inevitably, there will be tweeks to rogue and mage, possibly hunter as well though I'm not convinced there yet. While we wait, this is a meta where at least seven decks have a serious chance at high legend. There have been far worse lacks of deck diversity in the past.
Classic Shadow, people complain new expansion breaks game..
his counter argument, there was this one time this one guy thought a card was broken when it wasn't, therefore the expansion is fine.
So the op enjoys a meta where you don’t care what card your opponent plays, there is no interaction at all whatsoever and you only focus on completing a quest in order to otk… you may as well play against a bot rather than an actual player as the experience is exactly the same
Not really, bots tend to trade way more.
At this point blizz should just release: "0 mana; Starts the game in your hand; toss a coin, head you win, tails you loose. ". Although it still might be to slow for some people, so maybe add something like: autocast this at the start of the game.

Why bother to load the match at all :)? Just make small notification in the right corner of the screen, telling you about the outcome...

I mean it wouldn't (it's 2 mana for a 3-4 mana discount), but even if it were it wouldn't be the first time they killed a card.
1 mana off EVERY spell in your deck is crazy powerful. There's a ton of room for it to be weaker and still playable.
Well, meta is figured out, it's Roguestone and it's just a matter of time before people know it.
I wish that was true.
It's combo stone now, combo decks now kill you on turn 7 or 8 consistently (quest mage, miracle rogue and quest warlock)
I think i'll try building a face deck for the next few days. Not a fan of an aggro ladder, but that's the only thing I can think of to counter the new decks.

I wouldn’t even say I particularly hate combos… but when they are as powerful and consistent as they are and with no way to counter them, it’s truly a ridiculous experience to try and play against them.
If a deck has an OTK, it should be relatively difficult to achieve and require careful planning. Not just playing certain spells or cards that damage you. A good example was the Uther DK card from KFT… This didn’t seem so frustrating to play against because you’d need to spend mana to bounce the horsemen back to your hand… plus there was an inconsistency to it. You couldn’t make mistakes and waste your board clears or try to get a combo piece on the wrong turn and it actually requires skill to play.
That’s simply not the case with these quest lines.
Wrong, everybody who is provoked by the title disagrees with me. Neither the people posting in this thread nor all the people posting at hearthpwn are even slightly representing the player base. In fact, the „everyone’s“ you’re talking about are what? 30 people? Do you think that 30 people having a different opinion then me really bothers me? It says nothing about if the majority of players likes or dislikes this exp. it just shows that 30 people angry enough to post here don’t like the game

Yes, much weaker, what can be weaker then insane damage value for 1-2 mana plus full protection from fatigue.
Ignite should target only minions, then it will be balanced card.
Auctioneer and Keeper - to the Hall of Fame. That's all for now.
yeah, expansion is really great so far. i mean i did drew 6 cards and cleared the board on turn 4 with mage and did 29 damage from hand on turn 8. what else do you want?

LMFAO 100% mage op detected, sry to tell you but that deck is completely broken by all standards, no way it survives like this.

That's the meta I can get behind! Rogue honestly has so many fun archetypes to play, I don't mind
As long as either we or they fogure out the Garote thing, turn 6 OTK is a bit much even for current standards lol
I'm not Paul George, I'm just a fan.

They may aswell stop printing 8 mana+ cards at this rate since the game never gets that far. GG Blizz.

Well, OTK Rogue kills turn 6, so no problem winning against decks that are so slow :P

And it does matter if the decks are really good or not. People will stop playing them if they lose to aggro all the time
So you didn't notice. No surprise.
