They only turn out to be minor nuisances they can easily get over. When the face fest starts it's over. In my last match I was leading and this mage in one turn just cycled repeated ignites at my face to oblivion

Robes of Protection works well, but a lot of mages use Fire Sale and Devolving Missiles now, so it's also not so effective.
Mage can easily be stopped with Cheesemonger. I beat Mage every time I play him and usually draw anywhere from 4-8 extra free cards before he is removed. The cards generated are really good and I entered Shadowform as Paladin which was hilarious 😂
So sad Iksar does not get fired. He is destroying the game. They don’t playtest… which they shoulld do. It’s crazy how this dude is just nuking hearthstone. Like it’s so uninteractive it even funny
Asking for firing is bad and you shouldn't do it. However, there is some truth there, because he said openly he doesn't like control decks, that's why we have all that combo garbage today.

I love that he doesn't like control decks. I don't know what you guys find fun about it. Having no win condition and delaying games to the point they are straight up boring it's no fun. However, this level of lack of interactivity that we achieved this expansion is wild-level. I stopped playing wild for this exact reason: that games are solitaire and the winner is decided by coin flip. How about having a midrange meta with decks that try to actively win the game while having limited resources and that can end the game by turns 9-10 instead of 6-7 like our beloved combo decks do now?
so f@cking braindead, ignis is just too stupid, we have reached the point where any dumb fuck without hands can play this cancerous class, its like bringing back cancer aggro secret mage

Old control classic decks were more midrangey with big dragons and stuff like that.
guys you need to understand that the best way to make a deck disappear from ladder is to play counter decks. Just play face decks until all mage and warlock players disappear.
Id be rly surprised if Incanters Flow survives another week. Playing that shit on 2 basically guarantees a win rn, that cant be healthy for the game. They could nerf it to discount the next 3-4 spells you draw only, for example.
Rly wish they stopped making Keleseth-esque cards, "draw and play a card by turn 2" has got to be the worst kind of design to ever plague this game imo.
I've been having success this morning with Big Warrior. Maybe I've been lucky, but I'm like 4-1 against quest mage (at D10-D8). They can't seem to get through both my armor and my big minions.
So I've been an exclusive mage player since the game released. It has had its ups and downs, and right now it is pretty up. Too up if you ask me. Blizzard made quest mage so good, the entire meta now is play decks that counter mage specifically, and just play okay cards when a mage isn't involved. That just makes the game unfun for everyone involved.
Blizzard needs to nerf this deck to make it playable. This sounds weird, but if they nerf the deck, the meta won't be revolved around countering it, making it viable again. For now, I guess I'll craft other decks I have less fun with until I can play Jaina again.
Spell Mage OP again, like it never happened before.
Sure is. I give up. This idea that aggro beats it is a HUGE lie. No, it doesn’t. They just remove everything and that completes the quest. Since their cards all cost zero mana and they always have exactly what they need every time…..it’s disgusting that this is allowed. Nerf it into oblivion. Make a new rule: NO cards can be reduced to zero cost. Ever. Start there and keep nerfing until people stop playing it and it disappears into tier 6 category where it belongs. The game is UNPLAYABLE right now. Mage is 100% God tier.
I've tried any possible tech
Cult Neophyte
Far Watch Post
Ogremancer

You need to pick a side either no more high roll from RnG or no more bursts dmg .
I much prefere this mage than the one with lunacy of the last expansion.
At least here you are 100% to win if you play aggro and hit face, while lunacy could highroll wins even vs aggro.

mana cheat in general is bad for this game, its already tempo-y enough without it. Especially when, right now, drawing 22 cards by turn 6 is slow.
It is impossible to play as Mage in ladder now.
Just play aggro shadow priest, i usually kill them exactly when they finish their quest.

47% of the time it works everytime. 👈😎
