I was able to beat most of these "broken" quest decks with board centric decks. Just put pressure every turn and hope they can't mana cheat their way to late game.
You mean the high damage option is running rampant on day one against grossly untuned or outright meming decks before any meta has been established?
It's almost as if this hasn't been the case every single launch day since 2014.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I'm just running Barrens era Face Hunter. It's totally steamrolling everybody while they are busy fiddle faddling around with their tradeable cards and quest lines, lol.

“Fiddling around” or as I like to call it, actually having fun and enjoying new content.

I mean it's not usually a huge pile of combo decks just blowing up the opponent on turn 7-9. It's usually aggro decks that people just aren't building against.
I'm HARD teching against these combo quest decks (mostly by running what I think is sufficient healing) and I'm still getting blown up.
A "combo" deck where all the combo pieces go face... Just like darkglare warlock is now a "combo" deck because it has an OTK assuming it doesn't aggro you down
Okay, yeah I healed for 15 and still OTKed me on turn 8. This is... kinda stupid.
I'm not sure how you preserve the deck's design while not... letting it do that.
Why would blizzard not let ANY deck win on turn 8 ? It's preeeeetty slow nowadays, aggro wins on turn 4, combo wins on turn 6, control wins on turn 8, quest hunter is combo deck, so... yeah, it's fair. Blizzard has always been very clear that a game that lasts more than 10 turns is taking too long for their taste. And why do you feel like healing 15 should be a win against face damage combo decks ? it's a very low number, you're gonna have to heal 60-70 if you want easy wins against that. Try healing 15 against Raza priest, it won't work either.

That's ludicrous. 15 is half your total health. And it wasn't that he won on turn 8, it's that he took me from close to full HP (I think I was at like 25?) to 0 in one turn. That's not even how a combo deck should work.
They nerfed Raza priest specifically to stop that.

They're described as combo because they cycle fast through their deck to inflict a ton of unavoidable damage but they do not develop early board pressure and play on curve like traditionnal aggro decks.
To be fair they're actually control decks, but people can't wrap their mind over a control deck being the aggressor, so there it is, combo deck.

Edit: Just reached legend.

Are they already all legend? Because I haven't met a single one. Warlock and mage on the contrary....................... heaps....................
