Honestly prefer Dr. Boom, Mad Genius over the other two selections. I realize it's a hero card, but it's playable from hand.
Grammar is the difference between knowing your crap, and knowing you’re crap.
A .gif is worth a thousand words.
We totally understand that notion. Here's our thoughts and plans on that:
"What Cards Are In The Tournament?
The field of 128 cards is comprised of Legendary Hearthstone cards from ALL expansions. This includes minions, abilities/spells and weapons, but NOT Hero Cards.
Why no Hero Cards? Because the team felt their power level was too great compared to other cards and it would be a lopsided tournament with a lot of Hero Cards making the later Rounds.
If this seems unfair, we have good news. If things work out like we hope and people enjoy the process, Hero Cards will get their own Murloc Madness competition, running after this initial Murloc Madness tournament, most likely next expansion.
And to add to the Madness, if we do get to run both competitions we will end the Hero Cards tournament with a round between the winner of the Legendary Cards tournament and the winner of the Hero Cards Tournament, for 1 MEGA ULTRA ULTIMATE WINNER of Murloc Madness.
"
If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!
the only card i wished they remade each expansion but with the new set Elise the Trailblazer do miss playing with it such a cool concept
Would love it with a discover a random expansion pack effect.
Poll is just full of boomers voting with rose-tinted glasses on
Mecha'thun is clearly the best C'thun version! I've played more Mecha'thun Rogue than is healthy so I may be slightly biased...
Hey, great event and all, but PLEASE make it so that we can hover over names where we vote. This makes no sense, i ended up not voting. I don't have time going up and down all the time so i can see the whole minion. Please repair this as soon as possible!
Heavy nostalgia for me. Feel free to fite me!
Match 1: Alexstrasza, the OG fart dragon. While the new Alex is more consistent as a finisher, this one was a staple in control decks and used to cheese bosses in PVE.
Match 2: Dr. Boom. Dr. 7. If you don't vote for him you are playing War Golems and Wisps!
Match 3: Kazakus, Golem Shaper. I prefer the new version over the old as it creates cooler interactions. Poison+rush? Lifesteal+damage? I feel the spells of the old one were held for combos and therefore didn't matter much.
Match 4: C'Thun, Mecha'thun. Actually difficult. Introduced (?) the “buff anywhere”, which is super cool and many decks build around it, but how can you turn down "The C'thun stands alone"?
Match 5: Yogg-Saron, Hope's End. Random pyros are neat, but nothing compared to the random shenanigans of the old Yogg. There's a reason why we pray to him! Praise Yogg!
Match 6: N'Zoth, God of the Deep. A meh tier for me. Old N'zoth is notorious for long priests matches. The new one lets you target the revives better and build a deck around it, so it gets my vote.
Match 7: Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound. Who can forget getting coined a Barnes on T3?
Match 8: Reno Jackson. It's gonna be rich!
Match 9: Brann Bronzebeard. Oh, the memories!
Match 10: Elise Starseeker. We are going on a quest!
Match 11: Sir Finley Mrrgglton. Everyone wants to be a hunter, right? Of course! Face is the place, taunt is cheat!
Match 12: Deathwing, POWER INCARNATE! All or nothing!
Match 13: Ysera, Unleashed. The new one is faster and you know what you get. The old one was slow and could be hit and miss.
Match 14: Malygod. Druid and rogue decks that balanced staying alive long enough to combo with Maly.
Match 15: Nozdormu. Ah, Lifecoach's nemesis. The few games where it popped out of shredders and caused panic were cool!
How is C'Thun leading the poll? The card was never even borderline playable in the history of HS.
ok then please put small pictures in poll texts
C'Thun Druid and Warrior? Even Doomcaller saw play!
how could you miss out on the *best* Elise? .... no deck gave me more fun than wild highlander druid.... too bad it's not competitive
Cross-server challenge-a-friend quest trading:
If you play primarily on NA, but also on EU, then maybe you are interested in cross-server trading? Whenever I get the 80g quest on NA I would love to give it away and get it on EU in return. If you'd like a long-lasting trade routine, drop me a message here on hearthpwn!
Yogg-Saron challenge:
Whenever you encounter a Yogg Saron player - concede in honor and send a friend request. It takes balls to play a card that usually results in your own death. :D
Great stuff, guys!
I was really sad with people being toxic in the other thread. This kind of tournament is pure gold and I'd love to see other themes as well.
I voted mostly for the OG dudes. Exceptions are Mechathun, Dinotamer and Mad Aspect.
Keep the good work!
It isn't about power level for most. It's about how fun the cards are and literally anything you wanna vote on!
I'm honestly kind of baffled that Deathwing, Dragonlord is the lowest vote. Putting all Dragons on board was GREAT!
