I don't think people realize just how bonkers this card is. They have so many cheap spells, and synergies with such.
The instant, and obvious comparison is to that of Raza priest. But the thing is, Raza priest required highlander build-around. Hunter quest virtually does not. Another thing is, you have this effect in Hunter, a class that has reach through spells in addition to it just being Hunter.
The quest allows hunter to just pack their deck with low cost spells/minions, while retaining a wincon against slower decks.
Buckle in folks, this is the card to watch for.
Nobody is underrating that Quest, when it's the obvious candidate to get nerfed first out of all Quests.
It's a fairly simple quest to nerf (just increase the requirement of the later stages) and I don't actually think it's that broken in hunter.
Priest had a bottomless pile of cheap spells (especially 0 mana spells) and could very easily heal and keep control of the board.
Hunter has almost no efficient healing, very little reliable spell generation and while it's spells do decent face damage and can control the board, it's not insurmountable.
Also it's 0 cost spells don't synergize well with what the quest wants to do. So they could be dead cards in your hand forever.
Well, I know that. But as a Mage player, it's tough to say the least. Like right now my WR vs Hunter is pretty good, but the quest seems so insane I wrap my head around how to counter it :D
Guess only one way to find out if my worries are justified!

I really like the card design.
I really like the art.
I think there are many interesting things to try out.
That being said, I'm scared that first few weeks I'll just get wrecked by face hunter. Guess I'll have to wait

There’s no reason for that to happen when the new set includes neutral armor gain and hp recovery ❤️🩹
as well as various class healing/armor gains
Just tool your deck to crush face decks and take your licks with slower decks honestly.
New expansions ALWAYS favour established, quick decks. So just gear your deck to hard counter them.
