Now if they stop playing Hearthstone completely and stop profiting on it, they have my utmost respect.
If they continue playing this game they are just low two-faced hypocrites...
So if these streamers (who don't know you) essentially quit their jobs they will have your respect; however, if they don't then they are hypocrites. I say you put your money where your mouth is and you cut off your major source of revenue first and if you can't bring yourself to doing that then YOU are the hypocrite my friend.
Don't be such a small-minded child.
But his major source of revenue is not Blizzard, dumbass, why would he cut it ?
The audacity you need to call someone small-minded child with a mind such as yours, it's wonderful.
I'll wait for the conclusion of the lawsuit. There are definitely 2 sides of this story, and things which are perceived as discrimination can be something else when looking at the whole picture.
I am not saying Blizzard is 100% innocent either, but I do not like how people and companies are judged by the public as soon as a lawsuit is filed and some times even as an investigation STARTS.
This investigation was going on for two years though. These charges (from the state of California) are the result of the END of investigation not the start, due to one ex-employee. And a State won't risk filing a accusation of this magnitude on one of the biggest companies in their juistriction, if they found "questionable" evidence. This ordeal really outgrew "percieved discrimination". You may read up on it (or not), but the question isn't if the accusations are warranted, but rather on wich accusations Actiblizz can slither away bc of formal errors, deals and the like.
makes me sick i hope the state sues blizzard for everything. horrific to say the least. makes me ashamed I've supported them all these years but hey what can you do..
Just the hearthstone and WoW reddit subs blowing up as usual, they are populated by bitter old players who haven't touched the games in years but just hang out there as ex-addicts (for some some strange reason, move the fuck on, jesus).
Atleast on reddit, these are the people making all the noise. It reminds me very much of the Honk Kong thing a little while back. Some people have to accept that we're just here to relax, forget about the shit of the day and play video games. The day we stop playing and buying Activision products is the day they stop producing game we're interested in. Things like poor game content, microtransactions...in game problems matter to me, might actually make me one day stop playing their games...as for real world related Activison BS, I do not care and I will pay no attention. It is all a load of shit I do not care about or even remotely want to spend time thinking about... sorry.
If I were to start caring about corporate in this way it sure as hell wouldn't be people related, but environmental...and I'd be spending my time complaining (and boycotting) about Nestle, Pepsico, etc...and i don't even do that. So Activision is fine lol.
They also are probably having things overblown. The woman who killed herself sounded like you can’t blame mental instability on blizzard.
If you read up on that, you do know that on the field trip day said person commited, her main harasser carried a butt plug and lube with him, right? Imagine that happening at your workplace. Even mentally unstable (was she even?) ppl don't commit "just like that". I've read up some stories of employees myself and apparently she was constantly harassed by others aswell. Passing around nudes of an employee (I believe even THAT employee) at a company christmas party? Sheesh. And as far as I read up about Blizzards HR, even victim blaming was at place there. The deeper you dive into that matter, the more vile this workplace seems to get. And a 2 year investigation of such a big and mighty company from a state, followed by an actual (and big) accusation, is no small feat.
You’re saying that someone who killed themselves was mentally sound? Are you rationalizing suicide because of workplace harassment? She was mentally unstable, because if your workplace makes you want to end it all, you quit, not kill yourself. While it might have been the shittiest place to work at, you can’t hold them responsible for someone killing themself. I’m sure they provided health insurance, maybe she should have gotten professional help instead of killing herself.
It's not that easy to quit a job, dude, or do you already know the financial situation that person was going through?
Yo, I thought most of you on this forum just had bad opinions about Hearthstone, but it turns out a lot of you are just like, bad human beings. Like fucking awful. I really have no interest in discussing things with people as morally bankrupt as the majority of people on this thread are. Fuck all of you who think card reveals are more important than real people's lives - I wish you all the worst. For the (shockingly!) few decent people on here - it's been fun yelling at you about battle passes. Not gonna be stopping by these forums again.
And you? Yes, you, who's feeling angry that I called you a bad person and wants to reply "lololol no one knows who you are or cares loser bye" - you're unoriginal and dim. Try to have an original thought for once. Have a bad day. See ya.

Yeah, quitting a job is really hard. It’s also a lot better than killing yourself. If you’re at the point where your life is over and you are going to end it all, maybe quitting is a more difficult decision than suicide, but it’s the best decision. I’m not trying to defend blizzard’s actions, but they can’t be held responsible for one employee’s very bad decision to kill herself. That was her choice to make and hers alone.

You have to be kidding. Killing yourself is not a decision you make like quitting a job, it was probably an impulsive one after all the shit she went through. People are not robots, we are full of emotions for God's sake.
That's great and all but... when are the reveals? I'm sorry but I come here to get away from this bullshit. I'm not no jury and executioner. Let the lawyers fight this battle, just give me cards

How would you know that exactly? The response was a direct reply to a comment about streamers in general; not one specific one so I have zero idea where you're coming from saying "his major source of revenue". Let's then follow this up with the comment, "Now if *they* stop playing Hearthstone completely and stop profiting on it, they have my utmost respect"....'they' being the key word in that sentence, not 'he' or 'she'.
So I'll keep my previous comment intact and I'll suggest you learn to read. I promise it will give much more validity to your responses.
In a month? They'll all be streaming Blizzard games in less than a week.
Blizzard will go through another shitstorm like this a year down the line, Third Times the Charm. And we'll have Don't You CaRE??????! posters think they won't consoom the next product Blizzard puts out.

I don't know, dude, I seriously want to believe they are not guilty of anything, but this time things are on another level. For the moment, I lost all interest in Hearthstone.
It's desgusting that shareholders and ceo's, who are a handful of obsenely rich old white dudes that couldnt care less about gaming or the players, are making billions in the game industry, while the workers who actually create and make the games work in really insalubrious conditions and are victims of abuse and sexual harassment.. thats really fucked up.
they should have a strong union and the government and congress should institute decent labor laws for everybody. But all over the world we're going the opposite direction, the pornographically rich are richer every day and we nobodies are left with shitty jobs with long hours and shitty wages

The real test is quitting FOREVER.
"For the moment" oh come on. Eternity is a much longer time than that.

It will be stupid as f..k to quit forever if they aren't proven guilty, so I will wait.

Even the announcement from Blizzard that some people quoted here earlier sounds a lot like an admission of guilt. It reads like:
'Yeah, sh*t happened, but in the past, we don't do that any more at least'

I'm so disappointed and angry at the same time, but I have a present for you, Blizzard. Listen to this!
