Bro, we get it. You don't like how they do business and think it's a big conspiracy. What do you get out of annoying people who clearly don't agree with you over and over again? It's weird and unhealthy.
Move on with your life. Go find a game or company that you do like. Pick up a new hobby. Learn a new language. Go to therapy. Do something productive with your time. Enjoy yourself instead of spreading negativity.
The only algorithm is Activi$ion melking dry u Teenies every week with weekly HS Skins, greedy Bundles and what not.
For a "game" that will never eeever offer any sort of material return, lul.
Which games offer back material return though? I've bought many a dlc or add on, cosmetic or otherwise in many different games. If cosmetic skins are what keeps something feeling fresh for someone and that's what they enjoy, why is it any different to a dlc with an alternative clan/race/skins etc. Even if you buy some dlc and get ten hours of extra content, you aren't getting anything other than that time spent playing and if skins have a similar impact for some people, why is it so different?
You seem to be taking something really common place in the gaming industry and trying to twist it into some evil practice that hearthstone is engaging in.
Why are some people so obsessed with what other people spend their money on? What do you do for a living, is your company a charity? I suspect that if you do work, you're probably a huge hypocrite. You go to work because you get paid, you play your part in churning out more and more profit for your organisation, you want it to grow so you can increase your quality of life, buy nicer things, take good holidays. You may even get a bonus if your company performs well, that's really normal too. I look out for my bonus each year, it's performance driven and relies on business growth. How am I any different to every employee at Blizzard? I just want my company to do well, grow and provide me with better opportunities, money and development.
If you want to go down this road then yes all video games are a waste of time and money since they don't ever provide a return (99% of time) and in that time you can be working/learning/investing/self improving. Games in general especially with DLC are designed to make you spend money. Psychologists are involved to give you satisfaction like when a person wins at gambling. Destiny 2 loot boxes are a great example.
That being said you aren't factoring in the entertainment value which to many people also has worth. A lot of those spending the money have it to spend and don't mind. Especially in wild the decks can become almost f2p (secret mage and Reno priest might only change 1 or 2 cards per expansion)
I spend money on this game. I get no material return. I enjoy it as entertainment. It’s cheaper than going to a movie, sporting event, concert, or an evening dining out, which also have no material return.
First of all, the guy made the video because he got banned on Twitter. That is just obvious. With that being said, it doesn't mean the guy didn't do research. I think it was a well-made video with good points.
Second, the OP posted the video because the video mentioned Blizzard's patent. That is also obvious.
Also, since most of the video isn't related to Hearthstone, I will only react to the Blizzard patent one.
First, I believe that Hearthstone is injected with the patent. I don't need to prove it with actual statistical proof because the patent itself is a very strong evidence and proof. There is NO WAY they made the patent, paid for it, and didn't implement it. That would enrage the shareholders.
Second, for anyone who claims that Blizzard does not implement it, YOU MUST PROVE IT. That's what's called burden of proof. You are the one who made the claim, you must also be the one who proves it.

Until you have solid statistical evidence of the claim you make the burden of proof is on you. Because you are the first one making an accusation. If what you said was true, me as a player with full collection should only get favorable matchups on ladder. Rank 1 when?

To answer your question, the patent never mentions about what happens to players who pay, only those who don't.
If it's not black, it doesn't automatically mean it's white.
Still don't understand? Here, another example.
Just because you are punished for not doing homework, doesn't mean you are rewarded for doing it.
Activsion is shady as shit, and will say/do anything to increase profits and squeeze more out their IPs.
But if you think they need an algorithm to swing things unfairly against the users in a head-to-head game you are a goddam fool. Think about it - if the algorithm decides you are due a loss then that would mean your opponent is due a win, if the RNG is fixed against you then it is fixed in favour of your opponent... the whole idea collapses around itself very quickly, and would be all so increibly pointless when the head-to-head nature of the game determines that results will always be reasonaly close to 50-50, and fair, one way or the other, without any effort on their part.
The way they 'rig' hearthstone is by making full use of the addictive side of the gameplay, the pack openings, the progression, etc to hook people and have them spend more and more. The way you believe they 'rig' hearthstone, to put it bluntly, is dumb as fuck.

That's cool and all, but what do you say about the proof that is the patent?
Since this has devolved into both sides screaming "prove it", I think we can close this here, since no further constructive discussion will come from it.

This video is about algorithms in general, but it mentions an activision patent that again shows what they are up to.
Algorithms are RUINING LIVES - YouTube
People can continue to deny that hearthstone is rigged, but common sense and activision's business practices say otherwise.
3nnu1 being 3nnu1 after his 15th post about a children's card game being rigged, posting the same video again.
Don't forget your tinfoil hat.

Whats wrong with these toxic tinfoil hat people? Dont they have anything better to do..

I watched most of this video.
Sounds like this dude got banned on twitter and then took out his social justice pencil and started writing his revenge script.
All algorithms are bad, they will destroy the world as we know it, there is no hope left!
Look at all the articles I googled.
Bruh.
Well I'm sold....it's not like a video on the internet has ever been wrong before.
Thanks for the info.
I hope that because of all this evidence, many of the fanboys that swarm around here can open their eyes once and for all.
Thank you for trying to show the truth once more, however, unfortunately there is no more blind than the one who does not want to see...
