I started playing Hearthstone in early 2015, I have learned so much from playing this game about strategy, patience, fun, how angry I can get it a person who's not even in front of me. And when not to give up.
I have spent countless nights getting closer and closer and closer to the upper levels of diamond only to get frustrated and lose and at the end of the month get reset back to Copper only to grind myself back on there again and again as I would angrily yell in the middle of my house "unavoidable chin man??!?!!" (Reno Jackson diamond rank 5, his fucking pointy chin)
Cuz that's where I would get stuck in every time and through all the meta the b******* the unbelievable amount of control priest and Resurrection priest and spell priests and small priests and honestly to hell with priest.. I endured.
I played so many games and I still have so many more to play to even catch up to everybody who's been playing for even longer but finally today I get to say that,.......
I am legend.
Thanks Hearthstone
( I know it's wild I'm not crazy and stupid enough to try and get legend standard)
Congrats dude. Love to see the pasion you put in writing this. Clearly it's been a emotional rollercoaster for you.
First time legend is always a amazing feeling! It's pretty impressive that you've completed this feat in the 3rd week. Most people who get their first get in by the end of the season.
You'll notice that the next time you'll get legend it'll be a lot easier, mainly because there's a lot less stress involved so you can focus better.

Nice, I've been playing for 6 years as well already, and I hit Legend two months ago, although my story is a little different.
Because I never cared for ranked play a lot, and then one day I decided I wanted to get to legend for the card back and the season rewards and the first time achievement rewards, so I netdecked some busted Murloc Shaman deck and hit it. xD
I found reaching legend in standard was a little more "work" but a lot more exciting. Wild seems a bit like you find the newest OP deck and just grind/roll dice until you get there. In standard it at least felt a bit less.... priest....
Depends on if you like mid range match ups or hyper aggro vs priest (there should be some annoying otk mages too now right?)
I am actually at Diamond 7, currently. I have played Hearthstone since 2016, but I have never gotten to Diamond until this month. I am using Control Warrior, and it's demolishing ladder with win rate of around 9-2. I probably can go to Legend this week if I play long enough, but I'm currently not in the mood to play the game.

Unavoidable chin man? + FUCKING ROPERS!!
Hearthstone players can't be sane.
If you think it's worth the fun and addiction you can go on. Have a nice day
