I know Warlock is at the bottom of the barrel now, but Tickatus still feels absolutely awful to have dropped on you.
Blizzard has gone on record multiple times over the years saying that they consider player feel, not just winrate. Remember when the first Quest Rogue was nerfed at least 3 separate times, despite it being tier 3?
Do we need to Kibler to complain about Tickatus so it'll get changed or are we just cool with one card being able to delete up to a 3rd of our decks?
P.S. the refreshing spring water nerf wasn't enough.
Maybe because majority of the deck only need 2/3 cards of their deck to end the game and even less if the deck is aggro. So basically tickatus is doing nothing and not a threat at all. Only player with a deck that basically need his entire pieces of cards in his deck will feel hurt when tickatus played, and it was either very greedy deckbuilding or just plain bad deck. I mean, even a combo deck most of the times have draw their combo pieces in hand by turn 8 when tickatus can be played as fast as it can be.
And how often does this happen to you now? Once in 100 matches? The higher you climb, the fewer Warlock there will be, because no one sane plays him at this point. And even if you are (un)lucky enough to meet him from time to time, he won't be able to drop Tickatus every game (unless you play very slow, bad deck).
I think the writing has been on the wall for control for a long time, the message seems to be if your deck doesn't have a way to close out a game quickly after stabilising, then you accept dead matchups. Much the same as if you play control against a strong combo deck. The problem is that in standard, priest has very little option but to play value. If there was control meta then combo decks would prey on them as does tickatus
For everyone who hates the card, there is another one who loves it. The card/deck has a low win and playrate, so why not just let people have fun if they are willing to reduce their winrate?
Because warlock win rates aren't crazy high with tickatus. Powerful card but it's rock paper scissors like always. Only good vs. control or slow combos. The control decks tick beats usually destroy aggro and face, and tick loses to aggro and face.
I always hear this "quest rogue was just tier 3 why isn't tickatus addressed" stuff so I decided to go and check for myself. Found the vs reports for the un'goro meta and since its inception, quest rogue was basically mid to high tier 2 at legend. Uh. Look at that, maybe they didn't change quest rogue just because muh feefees but also because it was...good?
Since quest rogue was nerfed twice (I'm not having you keep your stupid hyperbole if you want to be taken seriously) I also went to check the vs reports for the witchwood before quest rogue was nerfed...and my oh my, it was tier 2 and even tier 1 some weeks, especially popular in legend whenever there were many people playing control decks.
That's interesting. So, apparently, quest rogue wasn't just nerfed because a sufficient number of people whined about it but also because it was an actually good deck. Fascinating. There's also the added issue for quest rogue that it was absurdly popular in tournaments, from what I could find, but I think that's a minor issue (otherwise, otk dh would have been nerfed ages ago, considering how many gms whine about it week in and week out).
Now, this should clearly explain why they haven't nerfed the big bad tickatus, eh? If you don't understand the difference between a tier 2 to tier 1 deck and a deck that's never got out of the bottom of tier 4 well, maybe you should go play clash of clans and not hearthstone, to be honest.
Again this Tickatus thread.....Tickatus Warlock loses to aggro (most of the time), gets obliterated by midrange decks, and loses to most control decks that have a reliable win condition outside of fatigue. It only beats some ultra-greedy weird control decks and priests. And even priests, they used to be auto-win for Ticklock, now with Mutanus and all Priests running the Southsea Scoundrels, it's at best 70-30 for Warlock, probably less. So Tickatus isn't strong, isn't oppressive, doesn't have any meta implications whatsoever (if there is no control meta it has absolutely nothing to do with Tickatus) and there is absolutely no reason to nerf the card

This is a bad thought process. A deck being bad does not mean cards in it can't be OP.
Mage decks were bad back then, but Refreshing Spring Water still managed to be nerfed. Same as Hysteria. Decks running it weren't like Tier 1 or even 2, but the card still managed to get nerfed.
Read his comment please. As he said; it's about player feel, not just the % people seem to care so much about. I don't see Tickatus commonly anymore and that makes me so happy. I just concede every Warlock game the moment Tickatus comes down and move on with my control decks. But that doesn't mean the card isn't a problem for a healthy control meta.
Makes sense. But then if combo preys, aggro come in. Personally I like that cycle. But tikatus is epitomy of control and no other control deck has a bright chance vs tikatus deck.
Blizzard lost every single aspect of being a good developer. They now care only about their money.
I played over 200 Ticktacus games (got him in my first booster but didn't played for months)
Never played res priest but its the same kind of frustrating. There's no counterplay, if your deck ain't aggro you just need to get used to get fucked. Corrupt ticktacus and that kill 3 randoms are fucking op cards. They are NOT hard to play! I'm still impressed they dodged nerfs somehow! They ain't nerfed yet couse in standart you loose more often becouse meta is that aggro.
Next expansion or year another power creep comes along and again new and weird and stupid synergies will come. If ticktacus ain't nerfed in standart then, it won't be ever!
I didn't bought new mini expansion but if discover on turn 1 the retard demon card that changes mana cost to health I already fucking won becouse this meta can't kill a 2/6 on turn 3. Stupid
You should not concede automatically against warlock playing Priest as this match-up is better for Priest than few weeks ago.
Besides I player against Warlock today which copied Tickatus twice and played all 3. And still lost. Let him have his fun now and then, without Tickatus Warlock will be total garbage.

Mage was not weak before the nerf. Refreshing Spring Water nerf hit Mage hard, but it's still playable. Warlock isn't and never was. Same with Hysteria, Control Priest is the best control deck around despite the nerf, solid tier 2-3, and it's the most played deck at top legend currently.
But that doesn't mean the card isn't a problem for a healthy control meta.
Who said that healthy meta is a control meta and not a balanced one where control counter, which is weak against everything else, exist, but so bad that it's unplayable?

He already is and Team 5 is doing it 100% on purpose. They removed all his power cards (Doomguard, Power Overwhelming, Soulfire). Gave him some useless buffs (Archwitch Willow, Deck of Chaos, Fiendish Circle) to pretend they care, but those buffs changed nothing. And they keep printing him the worst class cards of all classes, not even trying to address his biggest flaws and shortcomings. You don't even need to play test anything to see, that Warlock has no tools to compete with the meta (either as aggro, either as control or midrange). It's all too much to be accidental.
Probably it's because at least one class at any given time must be garbage (to add more "dead cards" to the pool and sell more packs). And since people like to play Warlock even when he's very weak, Team 5 just keep him in that state for profit. Class is bad for very long time now, but until last patch it still had decent play rate.

wow Rohriant,
you literally dismissed control decks as being bad and greedy. Seems we found the face hunter player
I love tikatus as a card. But it is the sole reason why there will never be a control meta.

In contrary, the OP might NOT be a Hunter player, but rather a control (other than Warlock, of course) player.
My guess is the OP is a Control Warrior (the greedy one with N'Zoth and Saurfang, probably) player.
Whether it's Warrior or not, the OP might be a control player, and the OP was probably bitter that he/she got the win condition burned by Tickatus.
EDIT: WHOOPS, I didn't read who you're quoting it to. My bad. I was referring to the OP, not the one you were quoting.
I think you misread this, it was not a reply to the OP

Bullshit. You have twisting nether or the corrupt cards. Saying that your deck must be super greedy to loose against a tciktakus is hilarious.
