Warlock cards are interesting but very hard to predict, they might see play and turn out pretty decent, overall i think warlock decks wont change much in power level.
Final Gasp is more of a zoo card (in control Mortal Coil is still better, but noone plays it anyway now since it's too weak), but zoo is dead, so this won't see play right now (maybe after future expansions). Stealer of Souls doesn't have any reliable combos or synergies in standard but might be playable in wild. Unstable Shadow Blast is decent, but it won't improve Warlock matchups in any significant way, because he now needs healing and strong minions, not just another removal (with quite big downside).
I predict that Warlock will be the least affected class after this mini set (possibly the worst in the game, if the Shaman gets better, which I hope for).
Warlock stealer of souls is the most busted card since long, plot twist in wild will break it together with immune effects. Best card since long, but lacks synergy in standard
Paladin will still on the top, though only the Secret decks will. The aggro will fall down considerably to bottom of Tier 2 IMO.
Priest will absolutely be annoying again. It has Xyrella, Hysteria, Soul Mirror, and now it has Against All Odds as absolute board clears.
Hunter will slightly rise up due to reduction of Paladin.
Rush Warrior should be at the same place. Contrary to popular beliefs, N'Zoth Warrior won't go anywhere. It will still suck, thanks to Warlock and Priest that will flood the ranked matchmaking. No Control deck will get any good as long as these cheap board clears still exist.
That's my prediction.
I agree with this guy. Another complete board clear for priest (if done with wave of apathy which they easily discover). Pally nerfs are the most significant part of patch. Otherwise cards themselves don't seem like they will change meta
Demon Hunter looks nice with support for deathrattle and big demons/sigil. I will probably try big demons control dh with sigils at some point.
Druid gets the best cards imo. Lady Anacondra will be part of some kind of celestial list 100%, Dreadfang is really strong, especially since we now have several cards that can reduce its cost.
Hunter: Really not sure what to make with these. The bow could be a taunt killer in aggro hunter, but I don't see anything valuable here outside of that.
Mage: Floecatser and Shattering Blast are scary good. 0-mana 5/5s really don't need much more win condition in a class that has a lot of random generation and burst, just ask secret mage players in wild. That being said, spell mage will probably stay more common. I also don't have that much hope for freeze mage, but these cards are dangerous.
Paladin: Secret is crazy good, the new weapon is also prett busted, but won't see play because of the secret-weapon. Party Up! is too slow.
Priest: Devout Dungeoneer is actually not a bad card. Cost reduction and draw is really strong, be aware of this card. Against All Odds will wreck many people who underestimate the board clear. There is Wave of Apathy in standard after all, so get ready to get your minions' attacks reduced and get them killed or stolen afterwards. Contro priest is here to stay. Cleric of An'she is also not a terrible card in a heal priest. A bit slow if you can't heal efficiently, but 1 mana draw cards are basically always played.
Rogue: Water Moccasin is just a worse Venomous Scorpid, so nope. Shroud is interesting, but I can't see a deck right now, Savory Deviate Delight is questionnable, but I will meme it. Could be interesting in wild, though.
Shaman: Primal Dungeoneer is a 10/10, Perpetual Flame is a really nasty card. Scary! Wailing Vapor is also pretty good. I am not sure where shaman is going, except for Doomhammer, but these three cards have a lot of punch.
Warlock: Unstable Shadow Blast is actually not a bad card, but the lack of synergy will likely result in it not being played over the soul package. Final Grasp is ok, but not great. Stealer of Souls is actually a really interesting card. It doesn't have a home right now, but any targeted draw is really insane with this. Taelan comes to mind.
Warrior: Man-at-Arms would be interesting if tempo warrior with early weapons existed. The same is true for Whetstone weapon guy, Kresh is very strong, the 9 health means that its frenzy trigger very likely. Also, frenzy control warrior seems like an option suddenly.
Mutanus: Interesting...very very interesting, if the meta gets slow enough. Imo most likely a priest card.
Naralex: WIll probably be the most played card of the mini set. Every midrange or control deck wants to have this card.
Ectoplasm: Arena card, maybe in deathrattle dh, but questionnable even there tbh.
Sidekick: Gorehowl? Anything else in standard?
Meeting Stone: Not a bad card in the early game, but probably too weak later to see much competitive play.
This set and the nerfs will have an impact on the meta, even if it's not a big one. Some decks will certainly arise or get stronger from it. Be aware of control priests, big dh, and druids. There is only hope left for shaman.
People being excited for a mediocre stipulation based draw card and a slightly less terrible version of a 1 drop which recently left rotation should tell you everything you need to know about the state of Shaman.
They added a weird amount of good midrange/control tools to Hunter and Rogue for some reason, and I think they're pretty good cards. I dunno if that'll materialize any decks, but it's definitely a game changer if they push it more than they are now. Sidekick is also pretty good in Hunter.
I think pretty much every shaman deck got buffed.
New mage freeze tools are just good. Freeze is also a mechanic that gets better the more freeze cards and freeze synergy cards you have. So Snap Freeze isn't great now, but maybe it's good if you can consistently draw other freeze synergy cards. I think there's probably a tempo-freeze mage deck there, and then maybe a control package with burst.
Priest got some cool new tools for existing decks.
Paladin got some cool new tools (unfortunately). Don't think that Party Up looks great, but the secret and the weapon are both good.
Demon Hunter got some neat stuff too. I think there's maybe some potential for a slower Demon Hunter deck that doesn't just OTK you.
Druid got lots of cool stuff. I think they're all pretty good cards. I haven't really played enough lately to know if they're any good, though. Anacondra probably has a spot in Celestial Druid maybe. Maybe Taunt druid/tempo druid with all the cheap nature spells. Beast reduction card is just good. If you're running beasts, you want that no matter what.
Warlock, I think the shadow blast card is good and gives Warlock some early-game removal which is nice. I think the jailer card is just good, Warlock has plenty of draw to take advantage of it. The zoo card is kinda good. There're zoo variants that can run some spell power, so I think it's better than it looks.
How can anyone think that Paladin got cool stuff? The secret is hot garbage, you attack with your 1/2 or 2/1 and it turns it into 1/1, the easiest secret to play around imo. As for the weapon, it is way too slow. You need to equip it on t3 and then it takes 3 swings till the deathrattle triggers and you need to make sure that you have a board wide enough to get some value out of it. Not to mention the anti-synergy that any weapon naturally has with the good weapons that the deck wants to run (Sword of the fallen and the one that summons the 6/6 taunt) The 2-mana 3/2 that gives divine shield to a minion is way better than that.

The new secret is really good against Rush Warrior and a Noble Sacrifice is a hard removal in combination with it. Seemed good in my testing so far, and I am just playing a crappy achievement version of the secret deck. Also good with Pen Flinger to clear the minion and it kind of heals you when your opponent wants to hit face.
Dayum, this is probably the first time I got EVERYTHING right with my predictions: DR DH and Shaman are all over the place and control warrior is a solid tier 2, got to Diamond 5 pretty easily with it, stomps all face decks.
Anyone else having fun with the new meta? It is a million times better than the last one for sure.
I've played a fair few games in the post set meta. This is what I've seen.
DH - quite a few deathrattle builds. The deck is definitely better.
Druid - saw the new winged snake once, and they chained a few spells out of it but once it was dead it was gg.
Hunter - same old Face Hunter.
Mage - not seen anything new really. Did see a secret mage which destroyed me lul.
Pala - barely any about, seems worse now.
Priest - not much has changed. Strong deck.
Rogue - not seen any.
Shaman - second most seen class. Definitely better now, but still a bit reliant on doomhammer.
Warlock - seen quite a few of all varieties. Played a nice pain warlock which destroyed me. They drew loads of cards with an eater pd souls I couldn't remove.
Warrior - feels like it's everywhere for me. Lots of turtle kings. Class feels strong but beatable so its in a good place I guess.
Overall I'm enjoying it. Nothing feels too extreme.....yet.

Lots of useless cards in set . Next set needs to be better.

I don't remember it ever doing that. Think about it. Its an endless ysera if it did.
A lot of you must be absolutely miserable in real life.
I'm hoping shamman improves as well. Dh seems to be the most improved. Paladins get even stronger with more options.
