Disenchant trash and powercrept wild cards, keep the good and fun ones.
At some point in your life Hearthstone won't be your main game anymore and you won't be able/willing to constantly buy new standard packs or to easily complete reward tracks, and your Wild dust won't be able to keep up with Standard for more than a couple years.
When this day comes you probably want a stable format with stable cards that you know will always be in your collection to play some games here and there, because you invested time and probably money in the game and don't want to just abandon it.
I've seen so many people disenchant 100% of their wild cards because they didn't care about the format, and then come back few months or years later and have extreme regrets because they can't keep up with standard and can't chill in wild, or can't enjoy Duels to their full extent. (and actually blame Blizzard for their decision to dust wild cards LOL)
In my opinion, only the competitive, professional Standard players should disenchant their wild cards. If you're just an average guy and you're not obsessed about Hearthstone, keep wild cards, you will need them eventually. Dust economy is trash in this game, it's not worth it, you will disenchant cards for 25% of their cost, to craft full cost cards that will eventually rotate in less than 1 or 2 years, that you will end up disenchanting as well for 25% of their cost. What this means is, in 2 rotations, you have wasted most of your dust AND most of your cards, the 2 main ressources of this game, for cards that will end up wasted as well.
Allowing players to literally destroy their own collections for minimal short-term gains is the biggest scam ever perpetrated by Blizzard or any other game company. It's even worse than loot boxes and random card packs.
Don't do it. Don't get addicted to dust.

It's a tricky question. I hear what people are saying about regrets and the extremely diminished value of dust; the economy of it is very unfavourable. It's about trying to predict the future and you never know if Wild will be something you will be interested in, you just don't. There will be people who will and those who won't. Another thing is, I've started playing HS last year, I will never catch up with my collection and get enough from the previous expansions to have a few decks for argument's sake (again, the economy doesn't help here as all decks cost the same and dusting is the same so I don't feel like investing time and money would make much of a difference). So I'd be scraping the barrel trying to get 1-2 decks. And I like variety, which Standard offers me, which sounds like a paradox but I can build a lot more decks across different classes if I stay on top of current rotations, which is easier to do. But let's assume I got past that hurdle and built a few decks I enjoy, my understanding is that I would then be fighting the same Secret Mages and other common decks in Wild over and over for what gain exactly?
I will not dust my collections simply because the economy of it sucks and I've invested some money into the game. I will wait for nerfs although those rarely happen in Wild and try and get full dust value then. And maybe in the future I will get interested in Wild, in a couple of years, if I am still playing the game.
If you have no intent on ever playing Wild or Duels, then there is no point holding on to those cards.
I have always preferred Wild, because Standard feels like a demo version of Hearthstone. However, Wild is in a dire place right now and Blizzard have shown no will to correct this, they always fall back on the meme of "new set coming soon, we will wait and see if that balances the meta". The meta has remained nearly the same for over a year.
You should at least give those modes a try and make that decision for yourself.
Awful idea, you lose 75% of the value. Those cards can be good for solo adventure, tavern brawl, and despite what you may believe you may one day play wild
Played wild for a short period of time because I really like to deck experiment, and realized that i'm better off focusing solely on standard since Blizz focus more on balancing standard, while wild is probably going to remain just that, WILD! Anything is possible in wild, and if you enjoy seeing what new ways you can create a deck
I don't have much interest in seeing what old cards would work with the latest cards in every expansions. Sure it's a different kind of fun, and a way to unlock my mad scientist ideas, but when some decks in wild will probably never go away, it's more satisfying to just work on trying to do what I do in standard since Blizz puts more focusing on trying to balance that format, and new cards come out every 2 years.
Duels is just wild with custom cards introduced. Not very appealing to me. Again, a different kind of fun.
Wild and Duels imo seem more so modes you play when you want to get away from standard. In that case, I'd rather go to BG's, and enjoy the variety of ways to play with each hero.
Therefore, I just DE certain cards(epics, goldens, and legendaries mainly), and put my dust into standard. Any cash or gold I put into standard just becomes a sunk cost after rotations that I try to recoup via dusting, and move on with life. It's like going to a bar/club, and paying a cover and buying overpriced drinks. You'll never get that cash back, but at least you had a good time and enjoyed yourself hopefully. Sometimes you just want to do what makes you happy no matter the cost. That's life 101.

The most logic option is to disenchant only when you need the dust, theres no reason to have the dust without using it
Nobody can answer this question for you.
