Which is harder to achieve/takes longer? Wild of course has a higher power level of deck/more potential to get blown out by turn 3 or 4, but also smaller player base

Wild is easier because it has a much smaller base of dedicated tryhard players. The best decks also have a higher winrate.
Both modes were equally easy for me this month. But if I had to pick a mode it would be wild. Especially decks like Secret Mage or the Secret Paladin I used are usually strong enough to carry you with a 70% or better win rate to legend. Even with 10 bonus stars.
In Standard, I hit it with Deathrattle Demon Hunter with a 65% win rate, so only marginal worse, because of its weakness against aggro (Face Hunter). If I met more Controldecks like Priest, Warlock and Warrior, the win rate would have been even higher.
More important than just the raw power level itself, is to know your decks strengths and weaknesses and play around possible cards your opponent could have. Demon Hunter for example is only considered Tier 3, but that's (in my opinion) very underrated.
Always been the case for me, usually by 10 ranks or so. I hit legend in wild before I hit diamond 10 in standard. I usually get 10 stars in wild and 8 in standard too.
Depends of your actual game expirience. For me, standart is much easier because of lesser random and also wild has hyper optimised aggro/combo decks such as kingsbane rogue/Mozaki mage which kill you on turn 5-7 in most cases.
In general, wild has had a more clear divide between S tier decks and the rest, so if your goal is to power grind with the best decks, you'll get there considerably faster in wild.
This particular meta, there are one or two standard decks that are head and shoulders above the rest to the point where if you're focused and good, you'll be able to climb comparably quickly.
I think it took 47 games to go from d5 to L in standard this month for me, if that's any help.
I didn't do wild this month, but last month I think it was 43 or so.

I am a bit late to the topic but I will throw in my observations.
I have primarily been a standard player, getting at least Diamond 5 every month (but often legend), but I have also recently started playing around in wild, and I can say that I am enjoying wild more. It seems to be less toxic (I can't remember the last time I played a roper or emote spammer), and the games feel much more consistent.
I find standard to be infuriating, getting long losing streaks (and winning streaks), and find it hard to get a deck to feel comfortable with. Yet in wild the decks seem to be more stable and therefore if you pick a strong deck the wins come in a much more predictable manner and the climb seems to be easier overall.
I am already Diamond 4 in Standard, but I have switched my focus over to wild. The climb will be harder the first time around, on account of not having much of a star bonus, but I think I enjoy the experience more.

Wild was much easier
Wild is much easier if you have the cards. The games are also faster if you choose a hyper aggressive deck

Both are easy if you pick top tier decks. And both are a challenge if instead of settling to legend you're settling to top 100 or top 50 legend.
