I work two jobs and never had the time to grind it. Been playing on and off since classic, took a big break after argent tournament expansion. been doing tempo mage/secret for years. The card draw has really come a long way, rigged faire game/sayge are game changers.
Today I went from D5 to Legend with only 3 losses. I was reading that D5 to Legend takes like 100-200 games and wasn't expecting to get it this season but I just kept winning and 3 hours later it's done! Feels good to finally get that card back. Kind of torn because I have most of the other card backs from heroic expansions and have been using the random card back setting but the legend one is an accomplishment and most time consuming to get
Wild meta is more fun imo. Yes higher power level/bigger potentional to get destroyed in an unfair way, but more variety and counters for everything. Lots of different opponents. Standard feels stale. Will try w even hunter, kingsbane rogue, darkglare warlock, or handbuff pally next.
Deck list for any who are interested. Hardest matchup was dark glare and kingsbane imo, murloc sham annoying too. Priest/warlock/mages got destroyed
It means that based on your MMR you are ranked #2423 among all players who have made legend so far this month in your server. I don't know in which server you play, but in EU last month around 5500-6000 players made legend in wild, so #2423 is quite decent. From now on winning will improve your rank and losing will drop it.
But no...wild meta is not fun atm... because of secret and apm mage. No offense:)
Maybe more fun then standard, i dont know. But its the worst for wild for a long time.
Secret mage DESTROYS apm mage. I think I beat all of them except one and that one loss was me misplaying. Explosive runes is amazing vs APM. It is worth playing secret mage just to steal their lunch.
At end of day secret mage is a tempo deck, it is interactive/you have to trade, establish board control. If you can't get board control (always hard vs pirate rogue and pirate warrior, kingsbane, murloc shaman, etc.), then you lose. Also if they can keep hitting you so rigged faire game doesn't trigger (above decks can easily), you lose.
APM is 30-60 damage in one turn with few counters, way more bullshit imo. It is nice to beat them every time. Also this deck does great vs rez/big priest - my other most hated opponent. Their mana cheating is beyond
