Blizzard clearly didn't playtest their balance changes.
They didn't play the game, either.
They literally said that they liked this meta, even though this meta is one of the most hated meta in the history of Hearthstone.
Good gracious lad, are you ok? lol
I'm fairly certain they do playtest (how much or how well is another matter entirely, and none of us has any knowledge on that anyway) and if you visit twitter you'll see members of the team talking about the games they play (Cora definitely and iksar who has been playing a ton of games in wild the past month or so).
I must have missed when they literally said "we like the meta" but to call this meta the most hated in the history of hearthstone...either you started playing in April or you have the memory of a goldfish mate. I'm in charge? Jade? Shotgun priest? Claws that catch? None will survive?
I will also kindly remind you that extraordinary claims must be backed up by extraordinary evidence. So if you want to claim that team 5 doesn't playtest changes and team members don't play the game, you kind of need to bring something that backs that up if you want to be taken seriously. Not that I think you wanted to be taken seriously to begin with, but there you go.
Meta has changed already, but not in the way that most people expected. Aggro Secret Paladin is no longer the best deck... because now Libram Secret Paladin took his place. We have experiments on the new archetype (Control Warrior) and that's probably the greatest success of this patch. There's a little bit more Rogue (she does better now because Paladin slowed down). Warlock is worse and even less popular on higher ranks... but pretty much the same on lower ranks. He's still around 10% of the meta and still sucks against anything that isn't Priest. Face Hunter is slightly better (again, because Paladin is less oppressive). Priest looks the same to me (as I predicted, Hysteria nerf didn't do much to him), except there's of course no more Kazakus Priest. Mage is the same as she was before (polarizing and annoying, yet not OP). Token Druid is another archetype that benefited from Paladin's nerf a little bit. Shaman is... still Shaman, you know the drill. Demon Hunter doesn't exists to me, so I don't know anything about his current situation.
ofc there is another topic when their fix is a total failure, I just cannot fanthom why people like you even post? like what is the point? to show that you got nothing going on or any cares for anything? lol gtfo
It is actually sad to see Hearthstone like this. The developers, the ones that still remain, are so far out of touch.
Paladin is barely tier1, mage is strong but not broken and Shaman is the only weak class. This development team is doing much better than the team5 ever did on balance.

They are too stupid to back up claims. These sorts of people like their little online echo Chambers which are filled with people who are similarly ignorant and lack any sort of critical thinking. They are used to just asserting things which engage an emotional response and these tend to be the least considered and rational types of responses but they feel good/natural. So it's just a cycle or stupid people making stupid claims and because they are now so used to people agreeing with them, they get really aggressive and upset if someone points out the flaws in their logic. I see it a lot with theists, flat earthers, general conspiracy theorists. In person these people are really easy to untangle, online though they can cherry pick who they engage with and there's just no getting through to them.
I'm genuinely fascinated to see how these people operate in day to day life, what job they have etc.
Also, hyperbole is way, way too common these days. All too often people go way over the top in what they are saying that even if I agree with the root of what they are saying, I have to call bullshit on the bells and whistles that go along with it. They can't comprehend that so immediately straw man you and say you're taking a position you aren't, such as being a 'fanboy'. It's such a ridiculous thing to say, that a dev team don't bother play testing, I can't believe they actually mean what they are saying, they are just too intellectually challenged to make an actual point, so resort to throwaway insults instead. These people are not only not very bright but they are actively dishonest as well. There's just very little, if any at all, way to reason with them.
worst meta ever and the balance patch did absolute nothing.. blizztards don't give a flying fuck about this game! its obvious! been playing since beta and this is the worst ever.. after a couple of matches, I feel like smashing something :-) ... the game aint healthy anymore.. its plain stupid and broken! lets hope blizzard wakes up soon!
Meta seems somewhat stable with most recent round of nerfs/buffs.
I think what kind of grinds my gears a bit is the amount of RNG related mechanics that have been brought into the game. Someone did a good write up on it recently but do not have the link. It's just that decks like no minion mage & control priest (although not OP or even tier 1) are just somewhat frustrating to play against. The ability to discover nearly unlimited resources that can swing the momentum of the game in an instant can be fun for some but frustrating for others. It's also frustrating because one can put together a well thought through and tested deck and encounter one of these situations and IMHO seems to counter the motivation to deck build. A deck like no minion mage is literally a value generate discover with a little bit of burn. I think this has forced the game to "speed up" and create very aggressive decks that need to win out before they can be out valued.
Still a great game and I know this has been stated here before but the over abundance of RNG/Discover has made it quite "swingy" and while fun at times can be very frustrating and might dissuade folks from more varied deck building strategies.
I would give the rush warrior a try.. i hit legend this month and last with that deck.
I did have favorable match ups though.. i went on a 7 streak to legend lastnight but i was matching against paladins hunters and rogues, so i always had minions on the board to go against.
The best part about the balance changes is that I keep scoring easy wins off of people desperately trying to make Shaman work. XD
To be fair, it wasn't a particularly effective balance patch, but those saying this is the "worst meta ever" either have severe memory problems or haven't been playing very long. Worse metas that this one include: the entire year of Even/Odd, Justicar Control Warrior, Boomsday Control Warrior, Evolve Shaman, the return of Evolve Shaman, TGT Secret Paladin, Pocket Galaxy, Undertaker Hunter, and arguably Mech Mage.
The current meta is only annoying because the strong decks aren't particularly interesting to play or play against. I've been having more fun in Duels than in Standard, which feels like a very weird thing to say, but at least Duels games are fun.

Agreed. This isn't even close to the worst meta. (As an aside, I played against a Mech Mage in Wild last night. Beat him badly, but it was a nice stroll down memory lane!) I'd put Even/ Odd, Evolve Shaman, Shudderwock (still the most asinine card in HS history), and Mysterious Challenger Pally much higher on the list.
I also agree that Paladin right now is painfully dull. "Wow, you've drawn the sword and put your secrets into play. Again. How cool. Oh, look! You've discounted your librum to 0 and you're playing it every turn. Wow, didn't see that coming. Zzzzzzz."
Yeah, everyone complaining has no idea how to play the game!
I used to be a noob like you and complain about the meta. I didn't want to hear anything about me needing to get better and all that. Then after a while I finally started to listened - That's when I changed my approach, I copy/pasted a Paladin deck from hearthpwn and now I'm winning games! I'm practically a pro gamer.

TL;DR: Get good guys, it's as easy as that.
Yes you copy/paste mindlessness and now you are 'practically a pro gamer' Yes you became part of Devs target audience and now - you already know how to count to ten - feel at the top of the world.
Isn't it what hearthstone is all about going with the flow - calling it 'get better' - as a businessmodel? So your TL;DR is quite funny. What you call get good I call the 'succes' of mindlessness. How different can we be. How can you even think you're good utilizing decks like mage or paladin?
I would be deeply ashamed if I reach legend with one of those decks....and call myself 'good' or 'practically pro.'

That was sarcasm - hard to read for some special people I suppose. ;)
Meta is fine. Rogue, Priest, Lock, Warr, DH (otk), Pala and Mage are all in tier1 and if u can sniff out what ur opponents play u can rank up easily. Obviously Pala is number uno but not as powerful as Razakus Priest or Call to arms Pala used to be and we tolerated these decks for far longer periods with much less viable decks in tier1.
What the hell are you talking about?
The only thing in Tier 1 right now is pally.
Tier 2 is more pally, Face Hunter, Rush War, Token/Primo Druid, Deathrattle DH, Secret Rogue, and Spell Mage.
OTK DH is terrible and has 46% winrate, Priest has 2 decks with over 50% winrate (51.6%) with a total of 1800 games played, and Warlock just counters Druid/Priest/Sham/War, it gets wrecked by almost everything else.

Shaman FELL further.

Of course the meta has changed! Before the nerf to mage, I had to face 10 of them in 12 matches. Today, I only had to face 8!
The game has been saved, thanks Blizzard

I am very bored. Who knows a better game to play on mobile?
