Warlock was always the king thanks to Tickatus against other Control decks. I still can't understand how that card hasn't been nerfed. Takes all the fun away from playing Control.

They just sold a bunch of $20 decks with tickatus. He isn’t going anywhere.

Because Tickatus is annoying and frustrating, but not overpowered. And if you think that's good enough reason to nerf a card, then I think they should also nerf Rogue (card draw, mana cheating, weapons), Paladin (secrets, librams), Hunter (burst), Warrior (armor, removals), Demon Hunter (weapons, burst, lifesteal), Druid (mana cheating, tokens) and Mage (burst). I don't know if they are OP or not, but my Warlock is unfavored against them, it annoys me and I don't like it!

Maybe they nerf him sometime in June after the mini set when sales of $20 decks slows greatly. Tons of people will be buying the mini set instead. Tickatus means other control decks can't exist in standard :(
Warlock is a class of fatigue and lifesteal/drain. Priest is a class of resource and heal. Warrior is a mixed class (Protection and Fury). These follows the lore of WOW.
I think the class identity is there to stay and worked on by Bliz. The competition and cards to counter one another is intended to keep the balance and identity of each class.
For example, agro and face damage will overrun warlock though they still have a chance to survive with lower odds. Likewise Priest can easily out value and heal aggression and face damage face but struggle against warlock. They also have chance to survive if they change their game plan to become aggressor instead of fighting on the turf of warlock at fatigue. Is it easy to overcome odds? No, but then it takes skill and experience to turn the game around.

Name one control deck that would exist if not Tickatus.
