Let's just hope all the fools who were crying about Refreshing Spring Water realize after a few games that the deck is still broken and that Refreshing Spring Water wasn't the problem.
Did nothing. Paladin is still way too OP and now gets THREE fucking minions for 1 mana instead of two for zero mana. Really? NO other hits to their unlimited buffing and bull shit? OMG. What. A. Joke.

It's pretty obvious that Blizzard doesn't give a fuck about wild and they only fix it when it's just crazy levels of insanity. I mean for how long has Darkglare Warlock been an issue? Blizzard 'nerfed' Darkglare itself and then recently nerfed Pen Flinger and the deck is still tier 1 and probably even tier 0 on the right hands... Do they care? Not at all. Raza priest is a pretty good deck that keeps getting more tools as time goes on and is an archetype that people generally hate cause it can do high burst of damage in one turn and Blizzard still does nothing to fix this. They even unnerfed The Caverns Below ffs. While it's not a great deck on wild it just feels miserable to play against if you're not playing a fast deck.
not to mention, what the frick does yogg and basically spell countering has to do with paladins?? absolutely bloody nothing, just replace this nonsense with another secret

3 minions that they can't play on turn 1 unless they have the coin.
The power of that card was in its ability to give you a T1 play. Now they have to run more crappy 1-drops if they want early game consistency. And the decks are just significantly weaker because they're can't just Crabrider you to death any more.
A bit surprised that Paladin didn't take more of a hit, but utterly shocked that the bitching about Tickatus was somehow resisted.
Good job there, Devs. Absolutely no sarcasm meant; after the Flametongue nerf, I give credit every time public outcry doesn't result in a terrible balance decision.
Not sure what the shaman buffs were intended to accomplish. I suppose they could be built upon in the next expansion, but currently, I still don't see a shaman deck that works well enough to compete at the top. At least once per meta, I always try to get control shaman to work, and this time it's just not happening.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Right . . . except a large number of players don't agree with the "feels terrible to play against" statement.
We know for a fact they have made all sorts of nerfs related to player base whining. That's why I complimented them for NOT bowing to it this time, because it is NOT a consensus of the player base.

same story with grim patron, really. the overall winrate amongst all players was really not great at all. they just had to cave in eventually (way too late i might add) because of complaints how it feels to play against it
Grim Patron is the "patron" saint of misleading statistics.
You're absolutely correct that its overall win rate wasn't crazy high, but NOT for the same reason as the Tick. Patron Warrior in its first iteration had zero bad matchups in the meta, but many of the players who copied the deck played it terribly and came nowhere near getting the most possible wins out of the deck. However, I remember several streamers who played the deck correctly mentioning how the Patron Warrior months were the fastest climbs to legend of all time, as the deck had no problem carving up the entire meta if you knew what you were doing, and in many cases, the worst matchup by winrate was the mirror.
Tickatus is not in the same universe of power level, but he and Patron do share one trait: being the cautionary tale against reading statistics and believing you can tell the whole story based on single-variable analysis.

not only that, but it ruins some of my clown decks. a 10 drop is really important for clown decks, and distupting that affects it so bad.
I dont even think people would play N'Zoth on 9 anyway; it is a very late game card, requiring many other specific minions to have died. So you would prolly be at 10 mana anyway, and you cant even do much with that 1 mana leftover.

Which is fine. Fun is the point, and fun is the money maker. So if something is very unfun, it should be removed.
nzoth must really like a broom (hint hint, cough cough)
I had this thought as well, actually. but this raises the question: Why not keep N'Zoth, God of the Deep at 10 mana and just... give the minions Rush?
In terms of the nerfs we did get, I'm mostly disappointed because the Paladin hits absolutely thrashed my Even Paladin deck. First Day of School was great for rounding out my curve and getting my Call to Arms through Counterspell. And poor Crabrider was the best Windfury minion that Corpsetaker had access to...
Oh well! I'm having fun with Even Hunter too.
I will say that Mage, perhaps, needed a little something more than a slap on the wrist. At least slap both wrists... Or the dominant wrist a la Incanter's Flow. Silly wrist metaphor aside, Sorcerer's Apprentice and Flamewaker perhaps should have been tickled even a little bit.
shaman went down. mage suffers zero. rush warrior is still the same, tho that deck wasnt opressive, and face hunter is just plaguing the ladder cause it prays on ppl that are experimenting . paladin should be weaker if they dont have a turn 1. but they always do despite the first day school nerf

Wouldn’t be a Shadowrisen post without mentioning Tickatus in some way. For all the complaining you do about the topic, you sure seem to like bringing it up quite a bit.

Come on Blizzard, Refreshing Spring Water? Really?
Not Incanter's Flow, Sorcerer's Apprentice, or Flamewaker?

Fuhgeddaboudit
Also, N'Zoth, God of the Deep now costing 9 Mana ruins the Old Gods flavour. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Blizzard: We don't only base our changes on winrates, we also make changes based on player feel.
Players: Tickatus feels terrible to play against.
Blizzard: Its winrate currently is not high enough for us to look at it.

Briefly, N'Zoth, God of the Deep buff makes no sense at all.
It does strengthen the 10-mana minion RNG pool, so it's a buff to Protector.
Which is fine. Fun is the point, and fun is the money maker. So if something is very unfun, it should be removed.

please don't bully my son
I think you're wrong. The nerfs seem very sensible and they found elegant solutions to weaken, but not annihilate, existing archetypes.
