If you play DoC exactly on 5 (or 4 with coin) without drawing any key cards first, then yes, it's awesome. If you don't though, you just play a bad deck. So yeah... no.
In my opinion, this card could work for like 2-3 mana, because then you could play it in regular Control Lock as an additional win condition, aiming to buff 7-10 minions from your deck, that you would play anyway, even without DoC. You managed to pull it off? Good for you. You didn't? Shame, but you still have a good, viable deck, so no big deal. For 4-5 mana it's still too terrible.
Deck of Chaos is still a meme card. Even if you get the buff early, you run out of steam against control decks, like infinite board removal mill warlocks or endless value generating priests. Against aggro decks you usually just die before getting value from DoC.
Maybe experiment making room for bloodbloom for turn 3 with coin and turn 4 without. And plot twist might increase the odds of being able to draw and play DOC on curve. Plot twist also let's you shuffle back unbuffed minions and draw the buffed ones.

Definitely true. But for me, the games where I get way down early and then manage to win with a wall of cheap big minions makes it enjoyable enough to to play.

I'm happy to hear that fellow Gul'Dan bro is enjoying his time with Warlock deck, but after 3 years of Control Lock in crap tier, I was expecting "a little bit" more...
I think this deck leans a little too much on Deck of Chaos. Just playing a more standard deck with some high roll potential overall would make more sense I think.
Even at 4 mana might cost you a full turn doing nothing to play it, which usually means death against aggro decks. Deck of Lunacy is not played for this reason any more. Like Lunacy Deck of Chaos does not buff your hand, you need to draw your advantage, which might be too slow after turn 4-6 (which already requires a lot of luck).
This deck is not as bad as you may think, and it's quite fun when it works:
Sure, I'll give it a spin

I have every card besides DOC, mayby should craft it :D

i just realized it's a standard and not wild deck, lol, never mind me.

I'm afraid deck of Chaos is in the awkward sport where it's too good for 4 mana but too slow for 5

Yes, it’s definitely greedy. I think that’s the point of a deck of chaos deck.
