Now that all the puzzles have been solved, lets talk about the whole concept ~~!~~
First of all - its great they are giving free card back. I know lots of ppl love collecting them. I am not one of those and never have done anything to gain any cardback which doesnt mean I dont appreciate colours, style and niche cosmetics we have in the game.
Got to say my eyes sparkled a little bit when I was heard about the mystery. It reminded me of earlier HS times- Naxx/Blackrock tough fights, Prince Arthas skin, discovering Ungoro special volcano animation. There has been many warm and cool small ideas throughout the history of our beloved game and I yearn and weep for a mystery or a challange.
Which leads us to my final point - the whole idea behind the 4 puzzles turned out to be super boring and useless. After solving them out not even a single soul is gonna try to figure it out on their own. The difficulty of the 3rd and 4th mystery is so absurd I cant even come up with an analogy for it. It may have been fun as a "World first" achievement, kudos to any1 who tried or succeded. However the gameplay of it is so outside of entertainment zone for the rest of the world.
Why didnt they put some scrumbs informing us that there is a puzzle on twitter or yt ? How about a mysterious ingame voiceline? So that we may actually wonder about that one 'outside the box' sentence or picture. Why the puzzle itsself was made for a computer to spam clicks or run simulations ? Why cant u make it simpler AND slightly different for every player - like a Diablo 2 map, switching between sides so that YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO READ OR THINK A LITTLE BIT.
In my mind around 4-5 ppl (2 engineers, 1 concept/HR person, 1 graphic designer) spent about a week on this. They can do whatever they want with their team ofc, its just a shame they didnt make it into something bigger, smarter.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ? AM I SUPER OUT OF LINE ? Maybe you superduper did like it ? Are you gonna copy-paste the moves to get a card back ?
I'm not fussed about card backs in the slightest but was intrigued by the idea of this challenge. Having seen the solution to the first one, I'm just not going to bother. I don't see the point in watching a video and copying the steps, it's like using an infinite ammo cheat to me and looking at the solution, it seems like it's obnoxiously finicky for the sake of being a 'hard challenge'.
Glad for people who have enjoyed it, just not my bag at all and seems like you aren't going to crack it through simply problem solving. I don't even know how the first solution was discovered without some sort of software or something, that to me isn't a fun 'challenge'.
Why the puzzle itsself was made for a computer to spam clicks or run simulations ?
Fun fact, people tried to automate the process of finding the solutions, but most of the work was just done by people being smart and clever and bashing their heads against the wall repeatedly till they solved it.
So I think you are wrong.
There's a whole discord server full of people who enjoyed doing these kinds of puzzles and solvign them and there's still people in those servers who have only gotten the basic gist of how to unlock the puzzles and intend to do the puzzles themselves, without help.
Sometimes different people like different things.
As to the people who just do the puzzles all prepared with the answers, some of them will find it boring and a chore and they will do it because they want the card back, but they won;t enjoy it. But I think the majority of people, myself included, actually quite enjoyed working through the game play puzzles to start the puzzles and the tension of not screwing up the correct answer once in the puzzle.
So, you are totally entitled to feel the way you feel, but I think the majority of people who choose to engage with this content, will enjoy it.

Your reasoning seems a little contradictory in a few parts (underlined above). Do you want a challenge you have to think and reason through? Sounds like this would be it. Just... don't look up the solutions online? But instead you are low key shaming people who would look up the solutions for a free cardback?
Or do you want something to be entertaining, in which case game puzzles such as this or even the Lucid Nightmare, Hivemind or Fathom Dweller mount puzzles in WoW aren't really meant to be entertaining, so much as incredibly obscure puzzles that it takes people all over the world to successfully crack. Which again seems like it'd fit the challenging bill.
Not trying to be super critical, just not able to pin down the through-line of your feelings here. For myself, I'll go through a walkthrough when all the puzzles are done and I have a spare hour on a Saturday when my daughter is napping, but I don't have the time to burn on it until then. :-)
I'm not fussed about card backs in the slightest but was intrigued by the idea of this challenge. Having seen the solution to the first one, I'm just not going to bother. Exacly! Why bother creating something that will turn out to be a mindless copypaste pissoff. There was just so much potential! And its not like they dont have any experience creating such puzzle - remember boomsday ?
I think the idea is neat and I will honour the work that went into this and complete the puzzles using the guides. If the purpose was to get the community together, it achieved that, and it's a noble one in a community that is so divided.
Having said that, I would've appreciated much more a puzzle that you can actually think and solve for yourself without having to run algorithms or endless trial and error. I am a more of a 'single player' kind of guy so that's where I am coming from. A starting point would've been nice, too. In SP games, you usually arrive at a certain point where you know there is a puzzle to solve. This was also missing here but I guess it's because the agenda was as per first paragraph.
It is just a treat for those who enjoy crazy wild puzzles.
I am just dumb guy unable to solve medium difficulty sudoku, so even if someone said to me: "Hey there is a mystery blah blah blah" I will just wave my hand ans say whatever, because the depth of this mystery is ABYSMAL! I don't even get how someone did solve the least difficult first part.
So no cardback for me even with complete solution. Kudos for the solvers, but for me... meh, whatever :)

The one where you go through the maze, how the hell did they figure that one out? Was the maze posted somewhere? Because without that maze as a guide, the odds of successfully going through it randomly was one in a trillion.
and the hunter one. omg the hunter one. what big brain freak figured this one out?
I don't care, these are not mystery to me, they are just a time sink.
Blizzard don't know how to make fun secrets that normal people can solve on their own. In fact, they specifically aim to make these secrets IMPOSSIBLE to figure out for a normal, single person. And they make layers, layers again and again, like first do this stupid thing to enter puzzle mode and THEN do this stupid thing to solve the puzzle, to make sure it is impossible to solve for normal people.
How would you even know you have to go to the innkeeper and start a game in normal difficulty and play whatever cards in whatever order to enter the puzzle mode ? It's just dumb.
99,9999% of the people who completed the mystery followed instructions on the internet. The 0,00001% who solved it received help from Blizzard employees and computers.
And I also believe Blizzard is collecting data and using the community as test subjects with these events. "Get the community together" yeah right, I feel so close to you guys because of this stupid event and the 2 random people/AI/employees that solved it, lol.
It's just a ramped difficulty beginning somewhere in the 3rd to 4th column of the Boomsday puzzles and ending with winning a chess game against Alpha Zero.
Some people will read the solutions and get it, some folks will do one and not the other three, a few will do 2, I will do 3, and . . . well probably no one will do 4 at this point.
The warrior puzzle I beat on the first time.
Rogue is trivial once you do a little research.
Druid is . . . extremely difficult. I'm on hour 3 brute forcing it.
Hunter isn't going to happen.
EDIT: Actually I'm selling Alpha Zero short. Hunter is like drawing a game against Alpha Zero with queen odds.
Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
The difficulty of the 3rd and 4th mystery is so absurd I cant even come up with an analogy for it.
I agree. These puzzles are not made for average person (or even above average), thats for sure. No normal player can figure them out on their own. I guess these were a challenge to a mystery-solving community and not for the usual player.
If they would add secrets like this in the future, the diffuculty of the Warrior puzzle was great I think. Other than that, even the Rogue one was pretty hard in my opinion. Like, I tried to solve it myself as first (by knowing the answer), with using matrix mathematics etc. But I couldn't solve it (I was trying to make the attacks 1230032 instead of 4/4/4/4/4/4/4, maybe thats why :).
I think the problem was that the puzzles were made for hardcore puzzle entusiasts. I like puzzles, I really enjoyed the Boom labs ones, I did most of them by myself, I think I looked like 2 or 3 and it was only like the first part of them and then worked the rest out. But these ones weren't enjoyable. The warrior one was fun, it's pretty much like a river crossing puzzle but then all the rest felt miserable. I don't even understand what I'm doing on the rogue one, I know I have to set all the cubes to 4 attack but I don't know why, to me the attack changes feel arbitrary but I'm guessing it's some sort of math thingy but again, that's not enjoyable.
Then the druid one felt miserable and I even had the guide to do it lol. This one you can 100% brute force it, if you make a map (like the people that discovered it did). You just make your little map and you start trying shit but even then it probably took them a long time and that feels frustating. And then the behemot itself... The hunter one was just the most terrible chore ever, even with a guide yet again. I don't even fully understand what's the point of it. I think it's to sell all the required products to the minions on your side of the board, but I'm not 100% sure. It was also insanely long, even with the guide I was stuck for like 15 minutes with that puzzle.
I think the biggest problem is that the puzzles simply don't use Hearthstone mechanics and that kills them for the majority of the playerbase. I wished it was more like boom labs. Just make it a really hard puzzle that uses stuff that people playing hearthstone are familiar with, it makes sense, it is relatable and it could've been fun. But honestly past the warrior one I had no clue what I was doing. There were no actual clues, no instruction, literally everything just says ???. That killed it for me. After watching a video telling me the cards I had to play for the warrior one I did that one by myself and actually enjoyed it. But after staring for 20 minutes to the rogue one and doing arbitrary shit I just gave up and looked for the solution. Did the same thing for the other 2 cause on the solution doc that I found it said that the druid and hunter one were even more unreasonably difficult.

Thank you ! My view has evolved a little bit in past few days - its great they implemented something new, NOW COME UP WITH MORE. More as in every expansion should have such achievements (first day or when mini patch hits) and more as in create reliable puzzles.

Actually, it was pretty nice and I enjoy it until the hunter puzzle.
