I have a question for you, because I'd like to know your opinion on this (seriously, it's not salt post). What would you say about the feature in HS, that would allow you to "skip" some matchups?
Let's say that you queue as Control Priest and you don't want to waste your time on "dead matchups" like Control Warlock or No Minion Mage (both are winnable, sure, but it's not very likely and matchup against them is also very annoying). So, you could setup your game client to "skip" all matchups you don't like (system of course would not be able to recognize a specific deck that your opponent is playing, so filtering would have to be class based).
And by "skipping" I obviously mean losing and applying to you all the consequences of lost match (taking away your stars, ranks, etc.), but in a way that you don't even see this (maybe except for a notification somewhere in the corner of the screen)! You just play the game and enjoy matchups you like, the rest is not your problem. You could also have some free wins gained from people who "skipped" you as their bad matchup.
In my opinion it would be a lot less frustrating for everyone to play that way.
One of the skills in any card game is to learn how to try and make the best decisions to turn a 4% chance to win into a 5% chance to win. What you're suggesting is that people just fish for their best match ups inherently. No lmao.
Just queue and insta concede. I did exactly that playing Control Priest against Warlock and in mirrors. We don't need a separate feature for that.
But insta concede is often very tilting, while "skipping" is not, even despite being exactly the same :). Game experience (for both players) is very important aspect and should be always considered by game companies.

True, yet still many people just insta concede in some games. Making it automatic wouldn't change their attitude or behavior, just improve their experience.
What about they actually balance the game to this unlosable or unwinnable matchups dont exist or at least decrease the chances, it would be much better . no? What about buff the classes that struggle against the clearly overtuned ones? Much better aswell , no?
I know you are a main Warlock and things are a bit rough right now for ya, but believe better days will come... hopefully.
The time and programing required to add a feature that would be used by few and save only seconds for those people is ridiculous. The idea is fine, but easily shot down as not worth the effort and time that could be put to other resources.

Would be better of course, but I don't believe it will ever happen.
Why would it give APM mages a 100%? Well I dont know if you touched wild lately but most people just insta concede to apm mages since its an unwinnable matchup. Many people who play decks that can win against APM dont even bother, because the experience is so bad they would rather take the L and move on.
This idea is generally bad. If the matchup is bad, but at least gives you a chance, playing it and winning it is exactly what improves you as a player. A player won't be good enough to hit legend if he only ever had favorable matchups.
Also, lets say that I'm playing a control deck. So I would "ban" combo classes. But then the aggro player "bans" me. So I only ever get to play Control V Control?
Also, would the "winning" player get free wins with that as well? Hmmmm...
Yes, think of it as if the game started as normal and the other player just gave up immediately. This feature would just skip the "concede part" and go straight to the next game. Simple as that.

And would speeding up this process change anything?

Sure, but some people just insta concede anyway. Would making it easier for them change anything?

Class-wise? Yes, think of it as if the game started as normal and the other player just gave up immediately. This feature would just skip the "concede part" and go straight to the next game.
Hilarious. No. HS doesn't even have any programming in it to detect what archetypes people are playing. If you think it does, don't forget your tin-foil hat!

Sounds like something that would skew the meta greatly in favour of cancer decks. If enough people start automatically skipping certain frustrating/unwinnable matchups, other people will be encouraged to queue using those classes just to get easy instant wins. Over time cancer decks will just get more and more popular, creating a vicious circle.

are you stupid? this is just plain dumb
Sounds like something that will give APM mages a 100% WR
I actually like the idea, but imo it should not count as a loss and you can do it once or twice a day. And only before mulligan.
Just queue and insta concede. I did exactly that playing Control Priest against Warlock and in mirrors. We don't need a separate feature for that.
I don't dislike the idea, I just don't see the point, it takes 2 seconds to concede manually.
Like those people who want auto squelch, makes no sense to me.

This is probably the single worst idea I have ever seen on this forum, and that says A LOT

Why? Elaborate please.
Would be better of course, but I don't believe it will ever happen.
Obviously, this feature would not allow you to rank up... because every match you skip is a loss, so... yeah, welcome to rank floor.
But, if that's not a concern for a particular player, sure, why not? As you say, skip the step of insta-conceding, if that's your plan.
Seems unlikely that they would implement a feature like that, though, since I guess it discourages people from playing normally as intended.
Also, would the "winning" player get free wins with that as well? Hmmmm...
