Anyone else have things that just make you say, “today isn’t the day,” and just log out for a bit? For me it’s when I have lethal and I’m just waiting for my opponent’s turn to end and they pull a Hail Mary out of their butt. Like stars aligning, once in a blue moon type stuff. I see that and I won’t log in for a day or 2, just to get away from that kind of bad luck. I’d rather lose on turn 2 than have the rug pulled out from under me when I’m that close. Extra points if it’s the rank up win I needed.
getting a 900xp quest that is unavoidable to complete, like take 20 turns or something.
I never want to do 900xp quests so that I can reroll them. this week for example, I got almost all 900xp quests, so I didnt played the game that much; even all my weekly quests still incomplete.
Sometimes, things just aren't going your way, and it's best not to push your luck. For me, when I keep getting really suboptimal hands - or the opponent keeps ripping godly ones - I put the game down and do something else, or I switch to casual games where there's no stakes.
No particular card bothers me enough to send me off, even a dozen consecutive Mages won't do it, since I'll probably still nail a few wins here or there.

You're not alone.
That's a sure fire way to make me take a day off. I'm such a min/maxer in games, I'm allergic to those quests.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Two or three games in a row where my opponent gets the perfect curve while my deck has apparently cast Lorekeeper Polkelt's battlecry at start of game without telling me will usually get me to stop. Also, when I feel that my opponent played a lot worse than me but still winds up winning through some sort of insane RNG shenanigans that's usually enough to call it quits - this second option happens more rarely than people on this forum would like you to believe, but Spell Mage is certainly pushing it pretty hard.
If I get beat by an unnecessary high roll I usually just close the client and do something else. I don’t mind high roll decks, like Duel Paladin and such, just cards that have the capability to autowin by chance.
I mentioned Mankrik in the salt thread and I think he best represents the issue in one card. Jandice too (although at 6 mana she isn’t as bad).
I will be enjoying myself and having a good time and it feels like these cards just put an abrupt and unnecessary end to it when they high roll. It feels like a kid running over and kicking down my sandcastle, only it isn’t a spoilt child, it’s Blizzards design team.
I mean imagine this in other games, you’re playing FIFA and it’s a close game, 2-2 with 60 minutes gone. Then suddenly Mankrik runs on the pitch, toe pegs one into the top corner and then declares the game is finished. You lose 3-2. Maybe this happens once every ten games, as it’s a system the FIFA team introduced to even win rates... As you can probably tell these cards are really getting to me.
Getting beat like this just makes me think what’s the point? If I queue up again am I just going to run into the same scenario? If so then why waste my time?

Funny you mention fifa, I've played fifa heavily for years and years and ultimate team is always a huge part of my year.
People say the exact same over there and they also say the matches are rigged to even out win rates and encourage people to buy more packs.... Noticing any themes here haha?
But yeah, there are a whole ton of complaints, exactly the same as this. The game being unfair, ea rigging stats, people bronze benching because they are convinced the game adjusts to your overall team score and screws over high rated teams. Accusations of no skill gap and without the rigging and bs all these people would be higher ranks, ea doing things to deliberately stop too many people getting high ranks.
It's why I'm so entirely unsympathetic to all the conspiracies I see on this site. I've been seeing the exact same thing since 09 over there, when ultimate team was introduced. Their forum is incredibly salty as well, always someone else's fault..... Even my other half will joke about no fifa player ever losing a game fairly, its always fixed. Its that common that even though she has nothing to do with games, she's aware of the extreme salt and conspiracies.
I don’t mind conspiracies about the game in general, I don’t trust Blizzard, or any major publisher, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they take advantage in any way they can. I can see why people would assume certain things. This forum (and probably others, this is the only HS forum I visit) seems to have a lot of people who really struggle to put their points forward in a sane manner though lol.
Like as far as I can tell there is no legitimate proof of match fixing in HS, so somebody flat out claiming there is, and calling anybody shills who disagrees, looks absolutely insane lol.
Usually, when I keep facing the same class that hard counters my deck (mage, these days). Like, 1 or 2 every 5 games is fine, but if more than half my games are against mages I'm like nah, better luck tomorrow.
Also, when I do horrid misplays (which happens too often as it is), I'm like omg, no, leave the game and do something else.
Cheap aggro -play what card you get- decks played by below average iq players who think they rule the world because they won a game just by dragging and dropping a card by using a mouse
I never really care about the skill of the opponent, but it's sort of funny . . . some people immediately quit if they caught themselves making a mistake that costs them the game.
I tend to quit if I lose a series of games and, looking back on them, I can't think of anything I could have done differently to win any of them. I don't mind losing from making a mistake, but it's a thing that happens a lot in HS whether thru deck choice, draw order, etc. that the individual game's outcome was pretty much decided even if played in a non-expert manner.
That gets old, even though it is a fact of the game.

This is what I was going to say as well.
Yesterday, I would be playing and winning and feeling good, then today for some reason, playing the same deck, same time of day, same state of mind... loss after loss.
It's a bit frustrating to think that without having changed anything in my deck or playstyle, in such a short period of time, everything can go the other way. So if I feel like I'm just on a losing streak, I'll give it a rest.
I think that's just the nature of the game, being a card game and drawing your cards in the order you need is kind of important.
I think it’s funny that so many people think they’re running some super-intellectual deck that only their level of genius can master. Anyone who beats them is running a brain-dead deck, even though they’re smart enough to play a deck that beats these mental giants.
Anyone with a sixth grade education can run any deck. If you think your deck is harder to master, then I would question the education system in which you were raised.

I get tilted and ragequit for the day when losing many games in a row.
Tickatus
After entering into the 6th or 8th mage in a row of the day.

This is why i love that card. Battlecry: Make oponents ragequit. Best card ever printed

Facing "insert annoying / OP deck" many times in a row, so right now, it's no minions mage and secret paladin.

Hmmm I just switch to another mode if I get annoyed by the one I'm playing.
What makes me put the game away is good weather and women :)
