As an added effect of the portrait explosion they could have their cards leave their hand, so if they had a really bad hand like if they drew 3 Dire Frenzy as priest with Soothsayer's Caravan you would be able to see - why they conceded.
More end of game stuff would add a lot, for example I find it better how you receive scraps.

That is not standard in any card game I know of. If anything, just give the option to show it like in poker.
Oh, and the option to dump a useless hand before conceding is already in the game, and is used for the same purpose.
It would actually be kinda funny if there was an option for this. I would say it should still be the losing player's choice to reveal their hand, if they wanted to show off that they were 1 turn away from winning, or that they drew really poorly.
There have been a few games where I had the perfect lethal play next turn, but my opponent somehow managed to get it first, and I'd love to show them how close the game really was.
But of course, they just emote "Thanks" while roping and making unnecessary plays before finishing the game.

How about if they don't say Well Played before conceding, it is a considered a rage quit and their hand is revealed as their face explodes...
