Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I think my issue with them is that I find these secrets too "extreme" in the sense that you can autolose if you don't have a way to play around them. Not saying they are broken, I understand how they work and how to [try to] play around them, but as said, I get kinda anxious when dealing with them, cause you gotta choose if you make a risky play, sometimes to throw the game if it turns out to be "that secret", and others you try to play around/test them and by doing that you feel forced to missplay pretty badly when it's not that one. Dunno, I just don't like to deal with them. And I'm fine with almost any other secrets in game, but those three are pretty obnoxious to me.
Oh, and the only reason I don't consider Oh My Yogg! my top hated is simply because it's pretty "new", but in terms of power/cost/how well it fits in its archetype, I think it's the most repulsive one: very cheap, really disruptive and tons of RNG involved. So my point to give Counterspell my top 1 is purely because I'm hyper bored of that card, giving me headaches since day 1 of HS. But as said, at least it's 3 mana, not 1 like the paladin one. And my issue with Freezing Trap is more or less the same, I'm just bored of seeing it and having to play around a so conditionally strong effect. Yes, you can even make benefit of it depending on your minions, or minimize risk to a point the trap itself isn't worth it, but as said before, I don't enjoy checking "if it's freezing trap".
Guess the cherry on top is that they are cards that match really well with emoting and bullshit when you get baited or throw the game when going with your only play and triggering them while crossing your fingers for "please no counterspell/OMY/freezing trap".
All this from a control player perspective, which I think it's important to consider, when playing aggro you prolly don't have so much issue with these particular cards (and even then...).
Ahahaha time to ruffle some feathers on a generally pleasant thread! I pretty much loathe Reno Jackson. If we lived in a world where he was the only Highlander card, he'd be okay - though nowadays "Highlander" is a non-condition. The game is so saturated with good cards for classes that like Reno that you can have an amazing deck, with no downsides, and an auto-win card against all aggro decks.
Not only all that, but the fact that Reno was followed up by Zephrys the Great, the card that basically is whatever the heck you need it to be, acting like a perfect utility knife in most situations - generating Twisting Nether for non-Warlocks, or a second copy in Highlander Warlock lists.
Oh yeah, also Raza the Chained is a thing that was directly inspired by Reno's design.
Basically most Highlander cards are on that list for me. They're unfair and don't have a downside anymore.
Pretty much anything pally does is getting old, but I am definitely not calling for any nerfs... All the way from very op 1 cost secrets to all of their librams shenanigans. Cards that come to mind are: first day of school, omy, libram of hope .. etc pretty much any card you can expect people to be upset about on this website
Celestial Alignment It's not broken and a celestial druid who can't play this early just dies, but boy does it feel bad when it gets played early against you
Stonetusk Boar This card isn't broken but beaks everything and for the longest time in the history of the game he was the direct culprit for us not being able to have interesting effects printed, i'd always say that charge is not a fun mechanic and neural chargers should never cost 1 mana
Y'Shaarj, the Defiler - not sure if this qualifies as not broken but I just hate this card so much, I don't like swingy cards in general but man this one takes the cake by far.
"None will survive" - declaring the arrival of someone who will press the hero power basically every turn, an engaging and enthralling gameplay experience
Ice block - not broken but really, really annoying
Counter spell and oh my yogg - can be infuriating beyond belief
Actually, basically all secrets every printed, I don't hate them but they're insufferable to play against much more so than any other "type" of card. And especially in wild due to the ridiculous number of secrets available, whenever my opponent discovers one it feels like you're fucked no matter what.
As someone who plays mage with missiles (Mozaki), it's really the kind of thing I hate. It's that variance - you can easily have win/loss decided by missile targets.
Celestial Alignment - Sort of the same logic. Either they can play it fast and you can't win, or they can't play it fast and they can't win. Doesn't make for fun games either way.
Varden Dawngrasp - You don't see this card played a lot, but I find something about their play sound really, really irritating.
Alignment... feels like there is counterplay for me, but most decks won't have any. Mozaki can play around it, though last time I did the druid... wasn't alignment. Oops. All or nothings like that are always a bit polarizing.
Varden - it's a full board freeze, with a body. Very strong effect, honestly, and I'm surprised more people don't find him annoying. Probably would if minions were played in Mage. Nova was disliked, this is a better nova.

Never liked Reno, in terms of design. Huge burst healing attached to a 1-of that forces you to run one-ofs and lower consistency. The entire highlander mechanic ain't my thing, but you have no choice when Reno was around, because any more burst healing would break Reno decks. Really dislike the whole thing, but it's always been an unpopular viewpoint.

Secrets in general make me a bit anxious, but when I think about it it's mainly because of the existence of some particular ones:
Top hated: Counterspell
2nd position: Oh My Yogg!
3rd position: Freezing Trap

Well ofc, did you expect Blizzard to make Blizzard bad ;)
As for my picks Explosive Trap School Spirits Primordial Studies off the top of my head
When I first read this I was imagining mr. “Follow the rules” for some reason.

Nazmani Bloodweaver - this just keeps coming back
Conviction (Rank 2) - just when you think you're about to come back and then they push your face with this
every pala card :)
Mankrik
I mean I think he is broken, but I’ll put him in here anyway to avoid creating other topics.
Free win cards like this I find incredibly pointless. Premium stats for a tempo deck and an effect which just high rolls wins.
It inherently negates strategic play and pushes the game more towards a series of coin flips.

The title of the thread is cards you hate that aren't broken.
I'm just kidding, please don't start a new Tickatus thread!

RSW is broken, tbh. Make it restore two if you draw one spell, and that's fair, IMO. Doesn't fit in this thread.
