I would be interested in your opinion. For example, you have enough dust and all cards from the previous expansions. Would you craft a deck of golden cards, if so which deck would it be? And what is your opinion on full golden decks?
I have the opportunity to craft one and I am playing with the idea of crafting a deck in gold.
Last golden card I crafted was zephrys, and I will not do it again. I keep golden cards only if I don't have the normal version.
If you have enough dust to craft a golden deck you have enough dust to craft important epic and legendary cards for many years to come. You will eventually stop playing rush warrior, and even if you don't, your deck will be refined, adapted to new metas, rotated, powercreeped, and many of the golden cards you crafted will end up sitting in your collection, because of the natural evolution of the game.
I once crafted all the golden shaman cards back in TGT, even adventure cards. I loved shaman gameplay, I love shaman aesthetic. Most of them have been powercreeped out of existence or have neer been playable despite the amazing animations (Eternal Sentinel, Elemental Destruction, rumbling elemental...), some of them have been added for free in the core set and made the golden craft completely wasted, and some of the stronger ones that I still use like Tunnel Trogg or Maelstrom Portal I just don't care anymore that I have them in gold, especially the adventure cards that I already paid money to have in non-golden.
If I hadn't done that, I would be sitting on an incredibly large pile of dust, or I could have all epics and legendaries from all expansions, instead of having to make choices and being unable to fully experiment with all the new cards in the launch season.
I originally paid money so i wouldn't be forced to play hours every day to keep up with the new releases. But the golden demons got to me and now I'm like the F2P players, I have to play a lot, my collection is missing key cards, except I'm not P2W because I spent (many) hundreds of dollars in packs that don't have the duplicate protection, and threw all the value away in cosmetics.
If I knew, this day when I decided to craft the golden shaman collection, that I would still be playing the game and pre-ordering expansions 5 years later, and that duplicate protection would eventually exist, I would have made a different choice, because ultimately, experimenting with new and old cards in the only reason I still play this game.
You can always watch golden animations on Hearthpwn and try to find the best ones, there's really no difference than seeing them in your in-game hand or collection.
In total, there are maybe 5 golden cards I don't regret crafting.
Hearthstone taught me adulthood the hard way I guess.
This is, of course, only my opinion, my experience, I understand if anyone feels different.
I thought of it, but in terms of Classic mode. I love the old Hearthstone, I love playing Rogue, and the Miracle deck, obviously, I have two of the three legendaries in this deck in golden, I have more than a half of this deck in golden, I like golden cards and never disenchant them, I have dust to make this deck full golden, and you know, it's a Classic mode, so, this deck will never become outdated anymore, I hope. So I kept that in mind when I started to climb ranks. But after some amount of games, you kinda start to not care about golden cards, and instead only care about the right plays. So in the end I forgot about the idea of a golden (and also favourite) deck, and I only cared about the right decisions in each turn. I didn't noticed anymore that some of the cards I play were golden and some were not. I just played the cards for their numbers and abilities, you know. But... maybe I should've crafted it in golden. It's just more fun and enjoyment that's for sure. But that's for me. How long will it last and how many games will you play with the deck - these are the questions though. Sorry for my English.
I had an all-Golden Hunter at some point that wasn't remotely competitive, it was all just vaguely synergistic beasts and stuff.
I usually craft golds of cards I really like, or good cards in decks/classes that I really like. Hunter being my favorite class has the most Golds at the moment, tied with maybe Druid or Shaman. I have poor impulse control, and my primitive lizard brain sees shiny things and generates the faintest hints of dopamine.
It depends on your economy but in general no. In my opinion it's a risky move unless it's a deck that is "eternal" for you. I have only 1 full golden deck and it's Astral Communion Druid that for me is eternal. This means that I know I can play it pretty much forever because it's very unique and it never bores me. Also it's a good deck to have in golden! And if I have to do replacements with new cards these will be just a few or even none because the deck is already refined. I dust all golden cards btw, the only ones are on this deck, so it even feels more special.
Going full golden for a deck that is meta (mainstream) or a deck that can bore you in the long run is not a good idea. Imagine also if some key card gets nerfed. Think twice before do it.
I’ve crafted multiple decks in gold in the past. It’s definitely unnecessary, but I just like the look & art of the gold cards. I only do it if I’m certain I will be playing a particular archetype for quite awhile. I had a tempo rogue in all gold back in the day & recently highlander mage (which I played in some form for almost two years).
I have fully golden decks in Wild. Stuff like Renolock which has always been playable in some capacity, just have to add 1 or 2 extra cards every other expansion.
Also have golden Handlock and Aggro Hunter decks in Classic. The Handlock was pretty expensive, but the Hunter mainly uses only basic cards with a few commons and rares.

I have the opportunity to craft one and I am playing with the idea of crafting a rush warrior in gold.
A hand full of golden cards irritates me during gameplay, a lot. Especially when the artworks have a similiar color and light effects (ever played with a full golden Paladin? Yeah.)
I use golden cards only for weapons and hero-changing cards, so they match the golden portait & hero power. Or in certain combo decks, where the key cards are in gold to distinguish them from the support cards.
golden cards serves one purpose only and that is to waste your dust / money with cosmetics.. i feel in that trap long time ago in around naxx times where i had fully golden wallet warrior and midrange shaman... don't do it.. it is a huge mistake unless you want to waste your money... auto dust golden cards
I dusted my full collection and built 1 fully golden deck for each class based on my favorite card, Drakkari Enchanter, and end of turn effects. I did this 2 years ago and have no regrets. I only need to add 1 to 2 cards per expansion to my decks, and now with being given a fully golden core set every year, I can even play around with more gold decks.
I personally wouldn't, I quite like golden cards being rare and special so I only really have golden cards that I've gotten from packs. I'm really quite stingy in that sense but being very dust and gold savvy has meant that faster 4 or whatever years of playing, I'm always sitting on around 20-30k+ in dust and it's been a long time since I had to think twice about playing a deck or crafting a card. I've played what I want for a good while now. I do get the smaller pre order bundle on lost expansions, so this does help but still, bit of patience and control and I don't see why even f2p players can't have a solid collection and craft what they want, provided they've been sensible.
I think the existence of this thread proves that Blizzard knows psychology. They have given you a lot of golden cards in the reward track and in core set, and now you are wondering about full golden decks, so you will spend your dust...

So far im doing the opposite, i dust all golden to craft cards:)
No, I'd keep the dust for future expansions.
Last golden card I crafted was zephrys, and I will not do it again. I keep golden cards only if I don't have the normal version.

please don't bully my son
My computer's a bit of a shed so I fear that if I had a fully golden deck the animations would implode my cpu.

I wouldn't bother in Standard.
No not worth it right now

I've made a few, but I won't do it again until they implement golden upgrades.
Take a walk on the wild side...
The core deck recipes are entirely golden for me. I played the core warlock deck just to see a golden coin in my hand.

I find it extremely irritating when someone plays a full golden deck... it’s usually a priest or shaman player for some reason and just a show off.
I automatically assume that’s the only deck they are playing and they are so cocky that they crafted it in golden. What a joy when they lose!

i know its blizzard, but they might rework the golden crafting system, so ill wait a bit

Or it's only my conspiracy theory, never mind.
I've never crafted a golden card so...nope.
