for the very first time, I hit Legend this season. Now it shows me a rank, let's say "3000". What does that mean? Are there only 2999 other players that are better then me? I cannot immagine this, as I would say I am not a very good player (why is it even possible for me to hit Legend? I think it was too easy and I honestly should not be Legend). Or is my rank 3000 shared with several other players? How do I read this rank in general, what does it mean? Is there a formular how many ranks I climp up or down if I win or loose a game?
Also I would like to know: What's next? So when you are Legend, you only play for a better rank? Is there any benifit/reward for climbing up the rank?
How many stars do I get in the next season? Let's say I am Legend and within Legend-rank I loose straight 1000 games. That should reduce my MMR and in therory next season I start with only 5 stars (or so) . Is that right?
I know that there is not an answer to all my questions as Blizz is making it a secret out of it. But maybe you know a litte more then I do at the moment and you can answer at least a few questions.
Rank 3000 in legend for your first time and this late in the season ? It's rather weird, considering there is a lot of people achieving legend nowadays, but it all depend of your hidden MMR and winrate in your climbing. You will face legend player in D1-D2 if you have a good winrate and winning against them will put you on a higher rank if you achieve legend.
And there is a ton of bad players in legend, even being in top 3000 doesn't really mean anything, it all depend of how much time you can spend at the game and how well you can adapt at the meta you face.

I think this is what happend. As from D5 I tried a new deck and was winning with it mostly all the time until I hit Legend.
No one here said it straight, but if I am rang 3000, there are only 2999 people that are better then me and an unknown amount of players are behind me. So the Legend-rank is unique for me at this very moment, there is no other player that is rang 3000. Right !?
Dunno why I am 3000, because as I said I am not a good player.
Your legend rank is based primarily on your internal MMR (but possibly with some adjustments because for example insta-conceding on turn 1 will lower your rank but it's been said that it doesn't affect your internal MMR). Dependihng on which server you play, 3000 is generally pretty good. Sure there are 2999 players 'above' you, but way more below you. I have some people in my friends list that are almost 30'000 legend right now in EU and that with only 2/3 of April gone by. Noone knows exactly how many people make legend each month, but it is at least 30000 and probably quite a bit more. Also, you might occasionally face an opponent that appears to have the same legend rank as you. I think the reason is that your rank is only updated after you log in or after you play a game. So while you are in-game someone might win a game, climb to #3000, push you to #3001, but you will both appear as #3000 to you if you face him next. Not 100% sure, but in any case something to do with the frequency of updates in the rank displayed and the non-sync of it across different users
Just 4yi: I am playing in Wild and it seems that in the meantime (haven't played for 3 days) I slided down to rank 4563. Anyhow, I am a litte bit proud that only 4562 players are better then me.

After hit legend you will always get 10 bonus stars next month. But if you climb high enough (in my experience ~1500), you will get 11 stars bonus.
Rang legend is that after or before rank legend lol
Sorry, I have edited my post. Unfortunately I am not able to change the topic-name.
The number says which place you are ranked. 1st is the highest ranked player.
Ranking in Legend is just for qualifying for tournaments, for which you need to aim high. Top 100 if im correct?
Edit: for Masters Tour its currently top 16 / 32.

Yes, as you say only 1 person should have each number in legend at a time (there are examples of this not happening).
Your legend rank will drop all the time even if you are not playing the game unless you win games.
You may find losing a game drops you hundreds of ranks, but winning only raises you a few. This is a sign your MMR wants you to be a lower rank.
To be honest, none of this matters unless you are aiming for a really high legend rank which will involve a LOT of time and winning!
