It's a shame, hearthstone used to be such a fun and varied game. I think it's more down to the level of data now available these days than anything. Because there are detailed statistics of the objectively best deck most people just play the exact same 2 decks.
Ladder is always gonna be aggro-oriented cause that's the fastest grinding deck type. Why play 3 slow games when in the same time you can play 6-7 with a fast deck?
Aggro is definitely not my favourite archetype but that's what I'm using to climb for efficiency.
What? 2 weeks ago 60%were playing mage and 35% paladin and few rogues. What diversity are you talking about? At least we see some warrior and warlock now.

I remember seeing lots of deathrattle Demon Hunters, control warriors, control warlocks, Leonoxx hunter, hero power mage etc.
Had to take a two week break from Hearthstone due to job issues which left me exhausted.
When I quit, there was a hugely diverse meta. Aggro decks, midrange and control decks. Now when I come back, everybody's playing face hunter.
It was fun while it lasted, I guess...
Tickatus forces people to play aggro and it hard counters control decks so control is dead. Hoping for his nerf as well as others such as paladin and wild otk mage.
I'm sure there's a buff/taunt warrior that would put all aggro decks to bed. I tried one early on in the expansion and it has no chance whatsoever against control lock, but seemed like would be an auto win vs aggro.
Play aggro and make Tickatus and the 10 manas Old God bad cards.
Funny people insists Tickatus is a bad card with low winrate when the entire meta is forced to building around the card, of course the card will have bad ratings, everything Tickatus is good is completely denied for existing.
Well, yeah they nerfed watchposts - these were going to be the basis of slower, but minion based meta - hell they were like the most viable usable neutral defensive tools for mid-range decks since ..i dunno, like sludge belcher or something - and now they are deleted.
Mid-range decks could have coped with Tickatus fine, and the posts help deal with hunters too - and they could have kept pace with Mage well enough post lunacy nerf. Rogue lost penflinger so the Posts wouldn't have been all that OP in rogue.
I do not understand the nerf for them and the game I am imagining right now is a lot better with them in it, and a lot shittier without.

Using the fact that tickatus exist is what nerds that only have fun playing hiperaggro brainless decks use to excuse themselves

What are talking about it? Nerds are the peek of strategy, Q.I and mental challenges normies can't even start to understand, what is clearly the profile of the Glorious Control Master Race and not the dirty aggro peasants. ^^

Funny. I tried such a deck myself 1-2 weeks ago and had pretty much the opposite experience. I got destroyed by aggro and DoL, but farmed Controllocks hard. Was running a very greedy list with Clowns, Rattlegore and stuff. Now if we could find something in between...

Classic? Standard? Wild?
EU 11/2015+ , f2p 03/2021+: DK 63 / DH 205 /Dr 277 / Hu 733 / Ma 6666 / Pa 1072 / Pr 1165 / Ro 1791 / Sh 1303 / Wl 707 / Wr 664
Classic is also pretty aggro/burn dominated. Wild is all hyper aggro or flamewaker/mozaki mage with *VERY* little in between.

Unfortunately, yes.
This is all Warlock, Mage, and Druid's fault, actually.
Every single non-aggro deck gets eaten alive by Control Warlock, DoL Mage or Ramp Druid.
All 3 of them have their fair share of problems.

The meta is always aggro
No, it's not Hunter, it's Demon Hunter. 4 in a row.

Tickatus exists.
Your options are:
Play Tickatus.
Play control and be destroyed by Tickatus.
Play aggro and make Tickatus and the 10 manas Old God bad cards.

Two weeks ago there were control, midrange and aggro decks? Did you just go into a coma 2 years ago and now think that it's two weeks instead?
Its been an entire year of brainless aggro since demon hunter exists.
A year of Demon hunter, hunter and paladin
