They need to continue to move hearthstone the other way - over time we want less discovery, less mana cheating, less convert your entire deck into RNG clown fiesta and finally, less infinite value generation.
Resource management needs to happen in hearthstone again, and not due to insane cards like Tickatus. It makes for a more rewarding game to play.
I appreciate that this a long list and can't happen all at once.
Hero cards are fun, but I do think Lord Jaraxxus in general is a bit too strong as it stands.
I mean, the hero power alone is impossible to keep up with, unless it's against druid that has a steady flow of 14/14 rushing, cleaving beasts or infinite clowns.
I'm actually surprised that when they changed him to a regular hero card, that they didn't adjust the hero power. Wasn't the power of 6/6's every turn for 2 mana supposed to be off set by the fact that you only had 15 health to work with?
And that's not even mentioning the weapon. It really puts a clock on whoever is facing it.
But in general, hero cards are good and I'd like it if they had more of them at any given time. But ever since KotFT, seems like they want to spread them out. Galakrond being the exception.
I thought they'd mentioned that they'd do them again but, much like reno (or highlander, for standard folks) support cards, since we just had a whole bunch of them, it'll be some time before they're reintroduced.

Oh god, tickatus here hahahahhaah. Man, there's such a thing as living rent free in someone's mind but so many on this board are clearly paying for the privilege of having him stay there. Truly the vegans of hearthstone.
Yes, it's just a legitimate type of card like spell or minion, they already stated they want to print more hero cards, but maybe not in every expansion. And don't expect every hero to be value oriented, it would be boring. There are many ways to keep up with Jaraxxus.

This has nothing to do with hero cards, look at deck of lunacy, they can print RNG and mana cheating on spells and minions too. And hero cards like Uther of the Ebon Blade or Malfurion the Pestilent don't cheat mana and don't generate infinite value or RNG.

Uther doesn't really (though that's because his hero power is ridiculously undertuned and as such the card never really saw play). Malfurion totally does. Maybe not value, but he's a game winning card.
I think Galakrond for the most part was supposed to not have so much infinite value, but the games just wound up going for so long.
Jaraxxus is strong, but he is a pretty significant tempo loss on the turn he's played. I think without stuff like Tikatus and the copious amount of removal, Jaraxxus would be fine.

Dude that deck saw a lot of play and success around the same time as Shirvalah Paladin and it was super fun to play.

Well, it's not that easy to squeeze 9 mana do nothing into your game plan, even against slower decks, because at point of the game they can usually drop a lot of heavy stuff. I remember 1st day of this expansion when I faced some greedy Priest decks. Even despite having Jaraxxus (but not Tickatus, I was trying variants without him) it was extremely tough to withstand their late game pressure, since they were able to remove my 6/6 constantly (I wasn't able to use it once for maybe 6-7 turns in a row) and play some big dudes at the same time, still generating new value on their own.

No 'we' don't. You aren't the community spokesperson.
I say yes please, hero cards are interesting additions to the game, if balanced. Same for discover. Hero cards in particular can be a really good enabler for entire decks or archetypes. Hagatha is one of my favourite cards.
In my opinion, of course. I won't presume to speak for everybody because, you know, people like different things and all that. I understand there will be metas that I personally like more than others and some that I don't really like, others will really enjoy.

Yeah I know he gets a lot of hate here (and on reddit). I don't actually want him nerfed, I didn't mean to give that impression. I was just pointing out that it takes a card of Tickatus power level, that mills five, usually ten cards in single game to make resource management relevant again.

OTK Paladin did. That's not really the same thing.

No thanks.
