Let's raise our Voices and don't let them get away with this backdoor scam, everyone who crafted Kargal is left empty handed with an unplayable Watchposts Package and less Dust in the account. The game isn't cheap as it is, we can't afford to waste Dust on unplayable Legendarys. Kargal Battlescar was very playable until the Nerfs, and nobody wanted him to get nerfed, but that's what they just did.
The watch posts are definitely not unplayable after this lol. Going from overtuned to balanced does not = unplayable. The 3 drop post especially is still insane when played onto an empty board.
That being said.
I do agree with you on the refund. They were nerfed, and he is directly tied to them being played, so I agree that he should be offered a refund on. But I don’t think anyone should DE him, as per my first point.
No, the watch posts were very predictable nerfs, and they were instituted plenty quick. I crafted Golden Kargal knowing full well that if there were any nerfs to the post package, it wouldn't be to that particular card.

Nope, everybody else here is right. The nerf to watchposts was predictable. You shouldn't craft anything in a rotation year until the first nerf patch hits. And you shouldn't craft specialty cards like this if you don't want to see the whole deck nerfed like this. The most notorious example of that, was the nerf last year to Galakrond Rogue...they nerfed a free legendary card that made the entire package of other cards useless. If you want to craft something early, use something that's used in like half a dozen decks and is ripe for nerfing in and of itself...aka Kazakus.

how exactly this affects Kargal? like his battlecry will have the same impact. i cant understand your point like "the card was very playable before the nerf" what will change? you cant run the watchpost anymore because they are easier to dealt with? That is close to nonsense.
I don't agree. The watch posts seem fine after the nerf, they are still playable and this specific card wasn't touched. People should know by now its always risky to craft stuff at the start of a new expansion with changes always expected after a couple of weeks. They've never given dust refunds in this manner before and they won't this time either (no matter how much noise people make) and I agree with their stance on this.
agree! and refund all rogue and paladin cards for penflinger decks
Apart from the fact that this is obviously a sarcastic remark (I hope), it does portray the reason why the rules about nerfs and the accompanied dust refunds are so rigid. It is a line Blizzard will not cross, and rightfully so.
There have been numerous instances in the past where the same case could be made for other nerfs. And you can even go further than that; you could say you crafted C’Thun just for Spell Mage. Or that you crafted Survival of the Fittest, Twilight Runner and Lake Thresher for Guardian Animals. I know they’re not as inherently connected to each other as Kargal is to the Watch Posts, but the point still stands.
Dust refunds are offered ONLY on the nerfed cards. It is your own risk to decide which cards you want to craft. It has been this way for almost 7 years, and it will never change. Nor should it.

I find it quite amusing how many people actively want games to be less consumer friendly than they already are, to the point where they will go out of their way to try and rubbish attempts at fair reimbursement.
It’s absolutely embarrassing.
If Blizzard don’t want people requesting refunds then they should introduce a better model for balancing and test their cards properly before release.
Just accept they can address some issues that result with undirect nerfs that hurts other cards.
I mean to be realistic there's a huge difference, Shudderwock didn't completely rely on chain gang to do something, like yeah they ruined his infinite combo on Standard but he could still be used effectively without gang. But Kargal is completely tied to the watchposts but I mean yeah, they're never going to give dust for Kargal, in that I do agree with you.
If they didn't give dust for Mekgineer Thermaplugg when Leper Gnome was nerfed or for Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk when the entire Odd package was HoF early and the card ended up unplayable until it rotated, then no, there's not a chance in this world that Kargal gets a dust refund.
Its like you played raza priest in standard years ago they nerfed raza and got full refund but in your argument it would say they should refund shadowreaper anduin too ,makes no sense 😂
I opened this thread expecting everyone to support getting dust refunds for Kargal. Angry mob style.
Wow, was I wrong.
I mean, as others have mentioned, you can still play the card, it still does what it says on the box. And the watchtowers... well, they're still playable too, aren't they? But maybe they won't proc 2-4 times before being taken down now.
Personally I would have nerfed attack on posts, the health nerf will hurt them too much...
One will be can't attack river crock and the other regular 3 mana body which does nothing against combo, control decks. Avenge didn't even was that good on posts as it can't attack and blessings is also useless. I think it wasn't that strong.

You already got a ton of free dust after core package release, stop complaining.
or you could have been smart with your dust and wait on spending it before the nerfs.
Makes sense.

they never did that and never will.
When they nerfed Saronite Chain Gang no one received dust for Shudderwock.

They didn’t change the card though... and the supporting cards are still viable. This is a whiney cash grab attempt. Lame.
If you craft cards in the first 2 weeks after the expansion its your problem m8, are you new in this game?
