Duh, avoiding Wild is a conscious choice for sane people that prefer a healthy and somewhat balanced Meta. Rather than an absolute unplayable clownfiesta of a game mode.
Yeah, enjoying your cards for only a predefined amount of time before being forced to spend more money and dust is a sane choice.
Not spending 5000 $ on a Game, that earns you NOTHING in return, and is just a mere time filler of your AMAZING life now THAT is a sane Choice my friend. : (
Oh boy, do I always laugh in pity at those "cool" Wild players like you trying to get into an argument and defending what they are doing is the right thing whilst I do know you've spent 5000+ on HS already making it the center piece of your life, while so many smarter people get by, by not spending anything, and simply avoiding the never balanced cancer show which is Wild.
Disenchanting rotating cards is an absolute necessity if you want to play Hearthstone whilst spending an absolute minimum. Duh, I thought that is self-explanatory, There are no two choices anyways, Budget players can ONLY play Standart. (or Classic mode)
Yeah, sure buddy, you've seen my bank account and my Battle.net wallet, of course you know what you are talking about. Having to stop playing cards I like because I want to stay relevant? Now THAT'S a really fun experience. Might as well stop playing the game entirely then. I'll tell you what, I've been playing this game since 2015 with some really long pauses, and the only money I've spent was for the League of Explorers adventure and the first Scholomance bundle with two legendaries last year (the one with 20 packs), and I'm glad to say that I'm currently playing every deck I'd like to play.
It also doesn't make sense because Wild archeypes are prevalent for longer periods of time. You can still play Secret Mage, Odd Paladin, Pirate Warrior, Big Priest, Renolock, decks that have appeared years ago and are still relevant to this day. The dust you've spent in Standard cards years ago is still useful here in Wild as we speak. It's a FACT that, in the long term, your dust is more well spent in Wild cards and that the main goal of the rotation system is to make people buy those expensive pre-release bundles. If Standard really were that cheaper, meaning less real money is spent, the company would've given up on the system already.
And you talk about Wild balancing like Standard is not bad as well, every couple months (or even weeks sometimes, given the rise of Stealth Rogue after the Evolve Shaman nerfs) there are decks that break the format, leading to many nerf requests until the deck is killed and the next broken deck can appear. Standard moves from broken deck to broken deck in a way more faster pace than Wild, that's the main difference, your frustration will still be mostly the same. In fact, Standard at the moment is more degenerate and unfun than Wild.

it is simple. people who play Mage have fun. And I gather they are the majority, since, well most of the matches are with Mage. The rest will stop playing the game or try their luck with the crappy decks.
Which is the reason I believe this whole situation with, 2-3 dominant meta decks, is a deliberate plan from Blizzard's part. They knew that these decks were broken when they were testing their new cards. But they released them anyway, because they are using the usual gambling methods to maintain that dopamine rush and keep the players addicted to their game. They keep it like that for a month or two, and then they take action after "analyzing their data".
Why make the effort to win or take the risk to lose the game, when you can spend a few buck and have a deck which will always "pwn" the opponent until it gets nerfed? A lot of players think like that and Blizzard is catering to them.
If Blizzard really wanted to have a balanced game, every time they release a new card set, they should introduce some new rules, internal and external. By internal, I mean, dont have the same legendary card getting generated multiple times. see Titacus. by external, have the player not play more than 5 spells in every turn. something like that.
They are doing it on purpose, its a strategy that pays well. I first notice this in LoL, the new champions almost always outpowered first 1-2 week then they balance it. So that gave me an idea "why don't i use this to my advantage". Buy every new champion on the day one crush people. Especially if you are a quick learner then profit. And then i notice that this is a system for them to get huge profit spikes when they release a new champion. Yes you can already expect a spike when you release a new hero but this is a plus. Normally i wait one week to buy that champion, why ? BECAUSE IT COSTS MORE IN THE FIRST WEEK. Then the price came down to normal as others. You see i was choosing to pay more for more stats, meta breaker or whatever and it was working. Then i notice the same pattern in HoTS. Blizzard like that and took that working strategy for themself. They did the same thing with new heroes. Most of them was overpowered in the first 1-2 weeks. Whooaaa why is that you think ? BECAUSE THEIR HEROES COST MUCH MORE IN THE FIRST WEEKS TOO! WHOOOAAAAA... Didn't think they could use that on HS. But it seems they are trying or already find a way to use a similar tactic in HS too.

Clearly you don’t understand wild players. I am a wild player, and no, I have not spent $5000 on the game. I haven’t spent money on cards since whispers of the old gods. The best part about wild is that you DONT HAVE TO SPEND MONEY. You figure out a few decks you like, and then when new expansions roll around, there might be a few new cards you want and you can easily get enough dust from gold to make them. Eventually, you can even build up enough extra dust to craft an entirely different deck and then maintain more than a couple decks. It’s really not difficult to get cards for wild, you just simply don’t disenchant cards that could ever be useful/fun to play.
He's been brainwashed to keep supporting the money milking system that is the Standard rotation, it's no use trying to explain, he probably never even touched Wild mode, but still is spreading misinformation around the internet. If he really were one of those "smarter people" he mentioned he should know that a card kept is 40/100/400/1600 worth of dust in use instead of 5/20/100/400 stored.

I don't see what relevancy your post count has to do with anything? And I'm pretty sure you know what flexing means. Oh, you have no reason to brag online, yet you did it anyways! Interesting.
Random statements also don't constitute as facts, that would be what we call evidence in the real world!
I know many Italians, Italy is a fine place. I don't know any Italians that I would consider obnoxious though, so maybe that's just a 'you' thing. You might want to get that looked at, its a fitting attitude for a children's online card game but not for the real world.
Personally I’ll take playing DOL Mage over pen pally/rogue
nice chance of winning. I did try the deck first day but with my horrible luck I get all the shitty useless spells that it’s not for me or never draw DOL until a tick burn

Let me know when you are working so I can get my fries.
They knew their was a balance issue, so will fix it. What is the pain is that its not done in 2 days. Why does it take over a week to nerf a couple of cards. Meanwhile people just stop playing altogether. This was the first expansion in a long time i didn't pay a cent. I just crafted all i needed, I'm glad i did now as its a horrible boring meta and the fun of the new rotation has gone. Nerfs are too late people are already not logging in to play. If there is a problem fix it straight away not a week later. SMH.

You can always play Monoploy and Nerf Park Place and Boardwalk.
People leaving HS, famous streamers refusing to play because lunacy, tournament balance screwed up because lunacy and rng, balance patches need meetings and more than one week to fix, this is embarassing,

Ha! You wouldn't be so lucky! But as you seem to care so much about my financial status - I'm actually the co owner of the one of the largest e-liquid manufactures in the UK! So don't worry I'm doing just fine! I just care more about my money than to waste large amounts of it on a digital products that have no value in the real world.
Sure, I enjoy hearthstone - I enjoy a lot of games but none of them enough to waste a lot of money on. You're a lot older than me, your priorities are clearly different to mine - you want to enjoy your retierment and spend your cash on the things you enjoy, I don't have a problem with that. I don't want to do that though. I want to expand my business and investments and earn more money, not spend it on all the things I want. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy my life though, I spent 6 months travelling Asia in 2017 and will start exploring South America in 2022 (pushed back from 2020 because of covid) and in general couldn't be happier with how things are going in life. However, not everyone is as lucky as yourself or me, doesn't mean they should be mocked online for it.
And for what its worth - in my experiences at least - people who like to gloat and talk shit online are generally the ones who have the least going for them in life! Still playing hearthstone in your late 40s says it all really. Have a fine day sir!

I told you. You are my Hero now. Why are you posting here? If you spent more time on your business, maybe you would be as rich as me and be able to spend money on many vice's. And there's nothing to settle man, you're in your 40s and wanting to settle a debate in online card game lmfao, I'm done. Most I've laughed all day! Please for the love of god just log off the internet and never return, you're cringe!
Dude why you don't simply play face hunter? if you face 9 mages out of 10 those are 9 free wins.
This is not how a lot of players think.
It's how most Mage players think, and judging by the recent statistics on this issue, it's also the majority of the playerbase.
I don't want to be forced into an archetype just to win. It's a casual game,
If you want a casual game, use the casual game mode. If you want to win in ranked mode, you have to follow the meta and play to its strengths, whether you happen to like the required playstyle or deck etc or not. That's the standard for every competitive game everywhere. Adapt or lose. The choice is yours. You can't expect to play Johnny Homebrew and win every game because you had a fun, greedy deck that didn't take into consideration the rest of the current metagame.
It's harsh - and I can't say I enjoy playing against mage right now either; I've always considered Mage to be a joke class, and now more than ever - but the fact is that if you want to win right now then you either join the meta or make a meta-breaker. It's been that way forever, right back to my good old Magic the Gathering days 30-odd years ago.
Let me know when you are working so I can get my fries.

There also isn't even a discussion he's a troll dude, he's just not very good at it. If he had anything relevant to say in relation to the topic of the thread he was more than welcome to state it.

ahaha hit a nerve there - that was a fast response. Dude just quit you look like a fool. When I'm in the final 3rd of my life the last thing on my mind will be hearthstone my man!
And there's nothing to settle man, you're in your 40s and wanting to settle a debate in online card game lmfao, I'm done. Most I've laughed all day! Please for the love of god just log off the internet and never return, you're cringe!
It's how most Mage players think, and judging by the recent statistics on this issue, it's also the majority of the playerbase.
I am afraid the only person that is "cringe" is you. You literally ended the discussion because the other guy is 40 years old. That's the most stupid thing I've seen today.
Just giving him a taste of his own medicine, he likes to take shots at people and make assumptions about their financial status - so I'll make fun of his age, he clearly doesn't like it. There also isn't even a discussion he's a troll dude, he's just not very good at it. If he had anything relevant to say in relation to the topic of the thread he was more than welcome to state it.
And he's literally got my username in his signature lmao and you're calling me cringe? Tilted over some stupid comments.
