Why don't you play casual then, where is your integrity ? There's more to life than ranked modes. "winrated be damned" you said.
Of all the places where people could have a little more integrity, video games is the least of my concerns, it's the one place in the world where having no integrity is of no consequence.
Winning is more fun than losing, people win for fun not to frustrate you.
And if you made this post, it's not because you have more integrity than others, it's because you are losing with your allegedly fair decks and wish you'd win. But the moment you start winning with your deck, people will say you have no integrity and teach you how to raise your children.
These people are not cheating, they are not taking advantage of anyone, they are playing cards available to them. You are also free to concede against any deck you dislike, I do that sometimes, as you said rankfloor can help. And again, winrated be damned you said that too.
As for your archery story, tell me when was the last time you passed your turn when your opponent was AFK for a turn ? Yeah, right. Winning is more fun.
Take control of your own life, nobody forces you to endure spell mage if you don't want to, it's just a game. If the deck is indeed broken Blizzard will nerf it and that's the end of it, people with no integrity will suddently have integrity again and you will seek other children to educate, most likely children of hyper aggro or tickatus players.
Casual is the exact same, only worse at times. I know from experience. I only plya home brew decks, and I relish the challenge of trying to beat the meta with my own ideas.
Yiou also completely missed the point of what I was saying as well as the Archery point; the point isnt too afk, its to not play broken decks , knowing full well they are broken.
What satisfaction do u get from winning with broken decks?
I think this might be an age thing. I feel like the youth of today love this type of meta, becuz attention spans are lower than they used to be, and instant gratification are more important to todays youth, than using integrity in the choices they make when competing.
I know im going to change many people opinions, and thats ok. But I can still share what I think and feel , just like you.
If you feel personally attacked, then maybe you should look inside yourself, and maybe you will learn something about why you feel that way?
Why are you making assumptions like I get satisfaction from playing broken decks or feel personally attacked, or even try to guess how old I am ? These do not reinforce your argument at all. I already told you I never netdeck. If my homebrew decks turn out to be strong decks, I will not stop experimenting and playing these decks, it's plain stupid and childish and self-centered and makes no sense. You missed your own point from the archery story. He stopped playing for a turn because the opponent couldn't play for a turn, period. A behavior you never had playing Hearthstone. Because you don't have integrity, because integrity doesn't matter in video games, it's not a sport, and you know that as well as I do.
I know im going to change many people opinions
Nope.
But I can still share what I think and feel , just like you.
Of course you can. I never said you couldn't.
I have made 24 standard decks so far. One of them is spell mage, another one is secret pally. I enjoyed building them, I enjoy experimenting and refining them, I enjoy playing them. They are as legit and as homebrew as the other 22 non-meta decks. Do I enjoy facing them ? No, because nobody likes to lose, and I know they are difficult decks to beat. So what ? It is not my place to tell people not to play decks I dislike, it is not my place to tell them it's right to dislike strong decks. No matter what you think of me, of people, of hearthstone, it is not my job to balance the game, my job is to build decks and figure out strong archetypes for every class, and play them, because that's my legitimate reason to play hearthstone, and at this point, you can eat poo and think i'm a 12 years old emotional mess if that makes you feel better, you're still wrong.
As much as I agree with you statement, humans will forever look out for their personal interests. Most of Hearthstone players are like that, they don't care about what others think, everyone wants the piece of the pie.
I don't see anyone's behavior changing soon unfortunately, but it's good to know there are people with your mindset!
Play classic mode then? Or Tavern brawl? Or PVE or Duels, or Arena or BG? There's plenty of other places to play hearthstone, if you don't like it then just stop playing the game. You feel "entitled" to call out mage players for what reason? because you lost to them?
I'm spamming Lunacy mage all the way until it's bad, it's a cheap deck to play for a F2P player and it's easy to climb with. Integrity-schmegrity. I play this game to win, and I do get enjoyment out of playing the deck. Blizzard is nerfing it anyway so I'm gonna play it while I can.

You're saying the op isn't looking out for his personal interests and cares about what people think ? He literally demands that we don't play mage decks so he can better enjoy the game for himself, he requires that we share his mindset about integrity.
He doesn't care if people enjoy mage. He doesn't care if people don't have any other viable deck. He doesn't care if people netdeck or build the deck. He doesn't care if people try to complete the reward track or achievements.
In other words, you and he are just mere humans like anyone else.
Despite popular opinion, there is more important things than just winning at all cost.
Do you have any evidence that the mage players you faced were playing that deck to win at all cost ? Did they tell you that or did you just assume that ?
Can't I share this opinion an play mage decks at the same time ?
In what world is drawing 4 cards for free, into insane levels of burst remotely fair? Some games, mage draws 6 cards on turn 4!!!
6 cards on turn 4.
into 3 mana Nourish, into 1mana fireballs etc......
some days i face mage over 50% of my games.
I feel I am more than entitled to call you mage players out on this.

Im old though. Its things I grew into too, cuz I def didnt feel this way when I was young,
You're entitled to say whatever you want, no matter how ridiculous.
As to your question, the answer is "in the world where everyone is on a level playing field and free to play whatever they want".
Winning at all cost would be playing paladin at the moment, anyway. That deck can be made to have a decisive edge over mage and holds its own or dominates everything in the secondary tiers.

that's just a straight up lie. A) it's been more than a, 'fringe,' deck as I've been sick of seeing no minion mage since its inception and B) it's been tier 2 which is definitely a far cry from, 'not very good,'.
people love mage because it's ez rng mode 99% of the time. mage players love to magic up wins out of thin air because to them it's fun. to the opponent or someone who hates mage like me, it's torture. so stop with the lies.

I don’t get it - is it fun to high roll with DoL on turn 1-2? Its basically winning by a coin toss omegalulz, zero challenge...
