This has probably been done in the past, but I was wondering how much money other people spend on this game. Personally, I have spent about 200$ in total. Most of this has been in the past year, but I have been playing since TGT. Honestly, I regret most of the money I spent. It feels like a waste compared to other games. I remember thinking battlefield 5 was a big rip off when it launched, but when I compare it to the 50 packs I could have bought instead it doesn't seem so bad after all
This is never going to go well. The passive aggressive and snarky comments will be in full swing, accompanied by people proudly announcing they've not spent a penny on the game.
People get way too bothered by what other people choose to do with their money. I've no idea why anyone cares.
I am blessed with a well paying job, resulting in me having too much money on my "Play money" category of the budget, so def waaaay to much on HS (just this month its 130 :D ) , but it comes down to me being lazy and impatient.
No I wanna play THIS deck, DUST oh ok need more dust. PACKS.
But been playing since launch and its brought me joy over the years so I shall not complain :) Spent money on worse.
At one point in the first couple years of the game, I was one of the biggest whales, having spent enough to craft a full golden set. After a while, I came to realize that was a little excessive, not to mention the fact that if one was a little more discerning about the goldens crafted, one can maintain a nice collection without going too crazy.
Unfortunately, financial difficulties made it necessary to spend most of 2019 in f2p mode, but lately I've gotten back into spending $200 or so per expansion to get a full regular set at the start of each new release.
As with anything, just requires some awareness of one's one financial situation and an ability to admit reality when it comes time to scale back a bit.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
1k in like 5 years... but it was my main source of entertainment, which equated to around 16.67 per month over 5 years.. basically a streaming service payment. I would like to think my purchases were justified
around 500 EUR - 750 EUR i guess, since beta. But i stopped spending money about 2 or 3 expansions ago. I only play wild (+battlegrounds) right now, after someone on this forum suggested it (way easier to keep up with cards if you got a big collection and just as fun imo).
I have spent zero money for this game. And I am extremely happy about it, since I do not want to support game that have evolved in wrong way for many years. I would actually feel used and violated if any amount would have been stolen from me.
Probably around 300 euros in 2014-2015, not really anything except when they do some crazy (cheap) deal. Always regretted spending the money afterwards too. Haven't invested anything after losing faith in the company with cards like Tickatus or the current meta confirming that belief. Don't feel like it's necessary with the current reward system either.
I buy every preorder before an expac since after naxx, so probably i've spent quite a bit of money, but i always buy through amazon coins wich makes it cheaper, much cheaper rlly... But mind you i dont care about the money spent on this game because i love it and its the only game i do spend money on, vary rarely i would spend another 20-30buks on another game in a year or two...
Also i have baught since the new sistem is in the stuff with xp boost.
If anyone gonna hate me for that, they can, if somebody loves me for that, they can :) totaly my business what i do with my time and money, might even be a pimp, you dunno🤑🤑🤑
Until last year I only spent 20€ on each expansion/adventure. When the bars closed I suddenly had a lot more money to spend on games, so 220€ was spend since AoO. When I look at my balance there's also a lot of little arena admitions. My best approximation is 400-430€.
Feels pretty OK, for a hobby that I've had for almost 7 years.

Forged In the Barrens is my first time with this game with both mega preorder and all mega classic packs it's around 200 USD$
approx 300 $, which I consider too much for a game thats supposed to be free2play, hence I used to ragepost against Activi$ion, lol.
trying to keep it low at 20 $ each exp now (only getting the Tavern Pass and that's it)

2.240 € since Beta.
$0 lol, never seen it worth to do so and when expansions rotate, I dust for over 10k and make 2-3 decks. Been doing this for 5 years
0$ since September 2014. I was tempted to pay for some expansions but decided to go Free to Play all the way.

I play hs since 2017, 5 euros for a bundle with a legendary of then classic set. Always been able to play and craft best decks playing a lot of arena
thats the strategy my man, Arena and Tavern pass.

Playing since Gadgetzan, idk maybe something around 500-700$
Don't regret it. If I was playing MTG or another card game I would spent much more money.

A bit over 1600 GBP. But over 5 years, so it's not that bad.
