About the only problem I have with mage is how long some of their turns can take. They're like over there playing solitaire with about a million cards, none of which seem very threatening, but it's just boring af waiting for them to finish.
mmmmh ok but rogue / warlock are doing just the same
overall the game feels like ropestone atm, really annoying
Just played against DoL and it's simply a fucking joke. Nobody can tell me, that this shit is random. He played in order: Glowfly swarm into arbor up into soul of the forrest, i had him down to 1 and he had 5 treants left, 3 of them frozen and he played tidal wave. Seriously?
In my opion Hearthstone needs cheap neutral hand disruption cards / minions like discard in MtG. Now only Warlock got hand disruption.
In example; 2 mana - Battlecry: Look at opponents hand. Choose one card. Remove it from opponents hand.
This way there is some counterplay (to 'broken' decks). This way you can remove (i.e.) Deck of Lunacy or a C'Thun card from hand. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss, but at least there is some form of counterplay this way. It's up to opponent when to play (i.e.) a C'Thun card. Be greedy and risk the card being removed or be rewarded.
I find playing as Mage a bit dull, although I did spend some time last expansion playing Burn Mage and Secret Mage decks. Also played a few games with a HP Mage deck yesterday which was okay. Quite happy to play against Mage decks though! Each to their own :)
Druid, Rogue, DH and Pally have been the classes I've probably enjoyed playing as most in recent months. Planning to give Warrior and Priest a go early this expansion!
People are gonna get real sick of Deck of Lunacy real fast ... if it isn't already happening.
We've had truly random deck replacement cards in the past, but this is the first one we've had that that seems to push you over the 50% chance to win threshold. All the previous ones were kinda just there for memes and fun.
Ya it feels bad to lose too on. The high roll, but when you’re hand is full of things like commencement and guardian animals and you have no minions it’s pretty weak.
I think part of the problem with mage is that not enough people play aggro to punish them. Besides paladin, aggro rogue crush mage, but because the deck feels so much like last meta, nobody play that. Poison rogue also does well, but people fear a non existent ooze meta, so people also avoided the deck. Thijs also been playing demon hunter at high legend to counter the mage too, and it seems to be working? But again, it feels like last meta, so nobody else really tried it.
How can prople call a deck that is based on RNG boring? Even of it's used against me, it's always fun to lose to super whacky RNG instead of Hyper Aggro.

Then go to a local casino and play a slot machine if you're looking for that type of entertainment. The high amount of RNG achieving the amount of success it currently is means every matchup versus mage is nothing more than a series of coin flips. This can be fine for some wacky Tavern Brawls but when you want to play a constructed deck you want there to be more of an element of strategy...like your choice in cards actually matters.

That's exactly how I feel, I'm all for randomness and unpredictability but not on what's supposed to be a competitive game mode, those cards shouldn't be so impactful at a point that decides the game on pure chance
Deck of lunacy mage goes well because nobody play aggro. Give it some time and they will crush it so hard that people will disenchant Deck of lunacy card.

End of thread.
I remember the first 2 days of Witchwood, the Shudderwock deck got people screaming for nerfs. At the time, the version of Shudderwock being played was ridiculously greedy and not anywhere near optimized, and yet people were stroking out over the OP'ness of it all . . . until someone remembered that Secret Mage, Even Shaman, Paladin (just the whole class at the time) and anything else that could win before turn 12 existed, and the Wock deck that had been rampaging was completely shut down.
And yes, I know eventually Wock came back and got the Chain Gang nerf, but two things about that: 1) the deck that emerged later was much leaner and more able to play independent of the Combo, and 2)the nerf was never about balance; people just didn't like playing against a deck that animation locked your turn.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I like playing with Deck of Lunacy because I have to make a plan on the spot to know how to win. Sometimes it's really easy depending on the cards you draft, sometimes not. I had a game where it was litterally impossible to win: My Deck of Lunacy filled my deck with control spells, against a Priest. I swear, no burst, no board presence, only Brawls and such. So yeah, it can backfire too.
But it's still fun because it's never the same game you play. That's why I love that card and I love playing burgle Rogue
I have good news for you guys. I was playing priest and faced a lot of lunacy mages, and always lost.
So, I started play demon hunter deathrattle and I beat them all. I encourage all of you to play this deck so that Lunacy mage will disappear from the ladder. Have fun guys

Serious question, do you think there would ever be a time where people aren't sick of X within the game? Not even X... Y, Z, A, B and C as well.
There's always something, I've never seen what I'd describe as even a 'content' community in the 4/5 years I've now been playing this.
It's a little like the boy who cried wolf. Get rid of the handful of things everyone is complaining about and immediately have them replaced by 7 new things they are unhappy about.
If it isn't Demon Hunter, it's priest. If it isn't either of them, it's Paladin or Mage. Is there a class that hasn't been complained about in the last year or so?
As of people are complaining about deck of lunacy. I've played this card in a deck many, many, many times. It highrolls, it low rolls. Everyone thinks about the one game it high rolls though and completely forgets the other 10 where all the mage player gets is draw and deck of chaos.

Did anyone read my follow up post? My problem with Mage is not based on its recent design or the fact the I think Deck of Lunacy is even a good card. I just think that playing against it is insanely boring for your opponent because there is about 0 counterplay to anything that they do. And this is not some thing that is "just happening" with this one card. For like, the past 4 years 50% of all mage cards literally just have the word "random" thrown in ad nauseam for whatever reason. I'm just saying that I hate mage because I'm sick of having to deal with massive highrolls and lowrolls deciding a game in its entirety on top of the already heavy amount of draw RNG that is inherent in card games. I like the class in theory, but why is it that Blizzard can't design a mage deck the doesn't have the word random written on all of the cards? I realize that is kind of an overstatement but it really feels that way and I'm sick of it. My problem with DoL is certainly not that it's good but that it's popular, and that I have to sit through these really stupid games where my opponent's deck is either utterly garbage or insanely strong, and the entire game could just end any turn because they topdeck a good card. But this is nothing new and it's how Blizzard seems to want Mage to be for some reason, and I hate it.

It's a fun deck to play. You never know what's going to happen.
I got a Soul Mirror vs Rattlegore, then Devolved him. Also had games where I draw 2 Deck of Chaos in a row and couldn't do much.

Deck of Lunacy is fun when you only occasionally see it.
I used to watch Trolden videos back in the day but there’s really no point now, half of Hearthstone games are manufactured clown fiestas.
I have another news for you guys. After you go post rank 10 or 5 they disappear, this mean that they are stuck at the bottom of the ladder
