Recently I dusted al my wild cards and got 180k dust. I play since beta and have never dusted any cards, except hall of fame ofc. I kept all Goldens.
Selling my account did not work out and the older I get the less time I can offer to play: baby is also on the way. So I decided to do something fancy with my huge collection! Dust all you will not use! Beginning from Naxxrama everything has been dusted. Now I consider to craft the classic collection in full golden, but 180k dust is way too much. What to do with the rest?
I only play Battlegrounds and classic, and occasionally standart. What to do with all the potential?
I mean if you barely play standard you can do whatever with your dust it's not going to matter. If you intend to play the game many more years, but don't play enough to care about your collection or don't need any collection for your game modes, why even bother with golden cards ? I wouldn't craft golden cards in your situation, 180k dust is NOT a lot when you have big plans like crafting entire golden sets, one legendary is 3200 dust, one epic is 1600, you will be out of dust in no time trust me, around League of Explorers I had this obsession to craft every golden shaman card. I've wasted money, I've wasted dust, and I couldn't keep up for more than a year, and shaman isn't my main class anymore. All that, for absolutely no reason at all, shiny animations that I can look at on this website.
Just occasionally craft legendary and epic cards for your favorite classes that you really want to play in standard when you feel like it. You can do that for years with 180k dust and still enjoy the full length of battlegrounds and classic mode.
I always dust all rotating sets when the year rolls. Never has been an issue. I have absolutely no interest in wild whatsoever, never have. I only play battlegrounds and standard, and always will. Was the same with MTG as well, minus battlegrounds of course.

What is up with this toxic environment on Hearthpwn? He's making a relatable question.
I've stopped playing standard, wild, and full-on Classic/BGs. The dust, gold, and all that is useless to me other than unlocking BG tavern pass, or playing Arena. I sit on around 100K dust without scrapping any of my wild cards. I was considering making a full golden Classic collection, but I'd be sitting on so much dust to spare.
This seems to be the drawback with a CCG versus TCG. Infinite cards, and no way of liquidating your collection.
I used to do that, but it simply isn't sustainable, as most modern decks will cost you a lot of dust. Chances are that OP saved a lot of dust throughout all his journey from the beta/start of the game. Blowing it all on a deck or two that might become obsolete after a few months seems unwise.
I did that once with handbuff paladin, and I do regret it.
transfering it onto my account of course, what else did you think of ?!
yea, welcome to the harsh awakening, unlike Magic or even Yi-Gi-Oh / Pokemon physical cards, HS "cards" ain't worth shit since they don't really exist. (they are a Digital Illusion) in fact I've found people with FULL Wild collections desperately trying to separate themselfs from their accounts for as low as 80 - 120 $ ! ....compared to what these poor people (and essentially most of us here) paid to build these collections in the first place is just incredibly sad and frustrating. So yea....selling your HS account isn't ever worth it, might as well just keep them.
I dusted a lot for full gold classic as well, but nowhere near all because I had a lot of it golden already, only play BG and classic like you. There's nothing you can really do with extra dust, just enjoy the game modes you enjoy. In the future maybe there'll be a standard deck you want to try, I've played maybe a couple since like 2016, it can happen if you see some deck that looks interesting, but for the most part haven't had any interest in the game since Naxx and especially the standard/wild split.
I do wish you could trade dust for gold though, sometimes I play arena.

I dusted my whole collection about 2 years ago for around the same amount of dust. The reason being I also wasn't playing as much anymore.
With the dust, I decided to make 1 wild deck for each class in all golden cards. This has left me more than enough dust leftover to update these decks if the new expansions bring anything I feel would fit well in my decks.
I have no regrets.

Bad choice bro.
OMG
How much were you trying to sell your account for?
i would craft meta decks i love in full golden

Only a bad choice if you like wild.

Idk it was a joke and a funny one at that.
Keep the dust in case you come back to the game later and need to use it for a different mode.
Blowing it on golden cards will potentially cost you 100s of dollars in the future.
transfering it onto my account of course, what else did you think of ?!

Unistall
Just seeing the title I was about to say:
"convert to Wild and play Hearthstone as F2P until the end of time".
But seeing as you got that dust from Wild...........
Play Standard until you run out of it, I suppose. Should keep you going for a year at least.
craft random golden legendary, dust it, craft it again, dust it, repeat till you have no dust left
Or he could craft golden Millhouse Manastorm 58 times and post a screenshot on here to verify.
i was litterally rofl ..... this is the funniest thing i evere read on a forum
