I've played a couple of games against this where it sat on the board making some of my stuff more expensive, then I whacked it with a 4/5 or similar a few turns later.
I think you might be overestimating the value of the effect. You don't have to throw your entire early game into it, just let it do its thing and work around a couple of increased costs - they may not even matter if your curve wasn't perfect. In the meantime, your opponent is 2 mana behind on board.
I played 2 games against tower decks and absolutely crushed both of them. Once playing spell priest and once playing rush warrior. I found them to be annoying, but not particularly overpowered. Which - is kind of nice in a way. It felt more like a puzzle that I had to figure out rather than two players trying to execute their individual game plan independently.
Aggro player spotted lmfao, someone's mad that there are actual tools stopping you from farting every card you play directly onto the board as soon as you draw it now. Far watch isn't even the best watchpost. It's not getting nerfed.
I haven't seen this card in game yet, but I have to agree, that 4 HP is quite a lot to remove on turn 2. If you don't have answer on board or in your hand (and there's high probability that you don't, because the game has just started), you might not recover from that.
Watchpost are everywhere right now, they can be played in almost every archetype with Far Watch Post + Mor'shan Watch Post + Kargal Battlescar package and it is really difficult to get rid of them if they are played on curve.
"Just use spell lol" "Just be ahead lol" are not suitable answers, these are games when you will outright lose to turn 2 + turn 3 watchpost.
If the meta stay that way, we can expect a 1 health nerf to everyone of them, not because these are the most broken card in the expansion but because it is in 50% of decks right now.
It might turn out that the Watch Posts ARE busted, but could you please wait at least ONE WEEK before complaining? Everyone is trying out new cards and strategies, and Watch Posts ARE new cards that pushes new strategies.
Rogue played Post, I was plazing secret paladin, by the time he played it I had thick secret lady, bunch of secrets and mysterious galloping from the side. Haha, he lost.

Yes, we know Paladin is oppressive. Doesn't mean these cards are balanced, though.
Best decks right now by far are secret Paladin and spell mage, neither of which run watch posts, so I doubt there’s going to be a watch post nerf. They are great for slowing the game down a bit, but slowing down the game only really matters for combo and aggro decks, so they don’t do that much in other match ups.
Even if those were balanced, this has got to be one of the least fun mechanic ever printed. Does nothing, prevents your opponent from doing things. I am all for printing anti-aggro tools and a slower meta, but there are different ways to achieve that than those watchpost
Why so bitter? Are you finally winning games thanks to this shit? You can also win with balanced cards if you're good enough you know?
If someone disagrees with you then they are 'bitter'? Cool, pointless then putting your opinion on a forum really, isn't it?
I've come against towers in 5 games so far and won all of them bar 1. And that was because of the legebdary which summons the 5/5s and I had no answer to 5 of them at once. I'm not saying they aren't powerful but maybe play for a few days, try and counter them etc first before shouting for nerfs?
I'm assuming you weren't really anticipating them, don't know to play around them, haven't teched against them etc. Do that first.

What kind of deck do you play? Control? So everyone has to play control now because of the stupid watchposts?

And midrange tempo too. So basically three types of decks are impaired because of a card and this is normal according to you?

Far Watch Post
This card is an absolute disaster. It basically forces everyone to put it in their in decks and the first who draws it wins.
I know it's still the first day but I doubt this will change in the following days.
This thing should be a 2/3 MAX
no.
no.
no.
Play removals.

I'll help. Things that beat Watchposts:
- Spells
- Cheating mana
- Weapons
- Ignoring them
Things that lose to Watchposts:
- Playing a fair, midrange deck.
Also, things that haven't been good in standard for some time:
- Fair, midrange decks.
It's broken, period. Every deck I face have multiple towers in it.
Feels even worse playing a class like druid that has no removal.
They basically drop 2 watchposts early on and you can concede

Dazzle and dominate your foes as the Jewelcrafter!

Kinda funny to "just use a removal spell" when the watchposts are overstated for their mana cost
Just don't play tempo decks

It's annoying sure, but broken? No way dude
