I thought the past few months being below tier 4 were enough but look like devs want shaman to be unplayable for a year at least...
The new Murloc archetype is a complete fiasco. It just loses to Everything! It's so fringe! Even with god draws it still looks weak. Not even tier 5!
The Elemental archetype has not enough pay off. Lilypad is good but that's about it... That card alone can't carry an entire deck.
Bru'kan is such a slap in the face.... +3 nature spell dmg COULD be very powerful as an otk finisher... but the only nature spell that goes face is Lightning bolt ! No support at all for that gameplan.
Also shaman has NO DRAW and that makes playing otk impossible, actually it makes playing anything Impossible!
Some will say these tools are not good right now but will be good in a future expansion.... Well guess what!? Shaman needed something NOW! The class already went through a meta being unviable. The last thing we needed was another 4 months in trash tier
Maybe. I'm having fun with Elemental right now, though. Kindling Elemental is an absurd one drop. Tons of followup synergy (coin + Circus Amalgam on turn 2 is a killer opener).
It’s sad like so much hype for rotation and here we go with rogue meta again... you haven’t got thru 10-11 cards from your deck and they already drew the entire deck. Such a joke seriously rogue again... 2 mana emperor thaurissan? Like i don’t understand where this people it’s trying to take this game. Not even mad js just sad tbh lol. Now rogue can deal also 12 from hand for 4 mana lmao!!! Penflinger? What a joke also. I heavy think they don’t playtest nothing.
I can understand your frustration, but the expansion is only half a day old... how about waiting until some kind of meta settles and the real decks are discovered? maybe shaman will have a deck with good match ups, maybe it's trash, maybe it's just tier 2 or 3 like most classes, but the first day meta is hardly saying much
this people at team 5 are useless. They don’t playtest nothing. How rogue has a 2 mana 1/4 emperor thaurissan! Lmao!!!! Dude seriously this game sucks.
Shaman just needs card draw, and for their archetypes to stop being spread so thin. That’s literally it.
Mana tide should cost 2.
Murlocs should never have been tied to shaman. If anything, they should have just kept them in warlock since the hero power offsets their weakness.
They should have leaned wayyyyyy harder into elementals for shamans. It’s beyond in theme, and is a very interesting archetype.
Here’s a couple card ideas I would like to have seen for shaman.
Stonehammer: 3 mana 3/2 weapon. Costs (2) if you played an elemental last turn.
Sparkler: 1 mana 1/1 elemental. Battlecry: Draw an elemental from your deck.
Tide Rider: 4 mana 4/3 (no tribe): Battlecry: If you played an elemental last turn, summon a Mana tide totem.
Living Wave: 7 mana 4/7, Lifesteal, elemental. Battlecry: If you played an elemental last turn, deal 3 damage to all enemy minions.
These are just some rough thoughts, but seriously scrap the Murloc crap, print interesting, GOOD elemental stuff for shaman, and let them have a theme.
The rotation has been live for what? A little over 12 hours? It usually takes a solid week before we start seeing a semblance of how the meta is going to be shaped. I mean, you might be right and shaman is going to suck for the next couple of months before we get the mini-set. But, we don't even know what decks are going to be good and what's not. We can guess. I mean, warlock is looking pretty strong right now with Jaraxxus power and I've seen some strong priest plays but that might not even last to tomorrow when someone figures out something even stronger.
My point is, it's a bit early to suggest that shaman is garbage tier when the rotation hasn't even been out for a full day yet.
I've been using the Bru'kan Spell Shaman list by nielsenhanserik and I'm liking it there are actually quite a few nature spells that go face lighting bolt is the best but not the only one and landslide with Bru'kan is insane
It's pretty sad half the set for shaman is reserved strictly for uninteresting and uninspired murloc archetype, and then they try with the remaining 5 cards to support both elemental shaman and spell damage shaman, without adressing the core issue why any of these archetypes will never work : no card draw. It might still be possible to make some decks works, but the deckbuilding feels awful when you just type "draw" in the search bar and nothing shows up E_E

The miniset is going to give us a new elemental legendary:
If you played an elemental last turn draw three cards. If they are elementals they cost 0 this turn
Seems like the best devs left team 5 and they only have tier 3 or lower devs left. We're starting to see the fruits. Probably will only get worse. The severe imbalance in card draw between classes is the most glaring example of their lack of understanding. They just think rogue and DH should have card draw because "that's their identity". Meanwhile the "identities" of several other classes are a lot less powerful. Seems like they were unwilling to keep paying the good devs and now they've just got a bunch of millenials with "cool ideas" but no experience, no savvy, and little understanding of how to make a balanced card game. Blizzard's greed is running Hearthstone into the ground.

This is a brand new thread, this is definitely not something that gets said every single expansion.
I've been using the Bru'kan Spell Shaman list by nielsenhanserik and I'm liking it there are actually quite a few nature spells that go face lighting bolt is the best but not the only one and landslide with Bru'kan is insane
I think midrange shaman is still good. But yes, whole shaman is garbage as always.
People who whine about their class on the first week of the expansion need to like calm tf down. jeez.
sorry they 2 busy counting money all hands on deck that's a shame though

I am loving my elemental deck. So much tempo
It has been A SINGLE DAY CALM DOWN!

Just kidding of course :D

Murloc Shaman killing ppl. on turn 4.
Shaman player whining that the class is useless.
Funny.
Well, we cant all be winners...
