Nothing new to anyone here but just adding my voice to it. Like it's so unfun that I want to play Hearthstone substantially less because I run into Tick Warlock a fair amount of the time. It's like the exact COMPLETE opposite of what control players want: a control card that nerfs all other control decks and pushes the meta towards more aggro decks. I don't understand how they didn't see how damaging this card is and how hated it would be. I hope all Warlock decks will be complete trash until the next rotation just to ensure we see as little of this card and all the deck burning BS until they rotate. EPIC FAIL from Team 5.

yEAAh its Tickatus, not the eredar lord of the burning legion or rustwyx, the guy that totally crushes control. I have beat Tickatus deck by stealing the other two guys. and cut down the value from Warlock to myself. If you have an actual deck that can win you can beat Tickatus. If is only Tickatus. He will burning down key cards sometimes? yeah, like you cant prevent that from happening but will you even last enough anyways? like i dont belive that the fact that Tickatus do that changes the fact that Warlock out-match naturally any control deck right now on value. After galakrond is totally gone in a hours, there wont be even a reason for complain of Tickatus. You will have more problems trying outlast Warlock "press the bottom get a 6/6" and deathrattle: put 3 premium minions in your deck even with 60 cards in your deck. I ensure you that.
Complaining about Tickatus is a total meme at this point. It's been proven that Tickatus doesn't break the meta. The winrate of that deck is good, but not game breaking. Stop posting trash
I didn't say it broke the meta. It wins enough to see enough play to cause a ton of feels-terrible game experience. It victimizes control decks. It loses to aggro and heavily disrupts control, thereby scewing the meta to some extent (even more) against control and towards aggro. It's a cancer. Like you.

Because you can't read doesn't mean it's trash. He never said it was meta-breaking, he said "unfun". And he's right about its analysis : while it doesn't break the meta, it nerfs control and pushes aggro. I could add that you're trash, but that would be a meme at this point.
Tickatus is without doubt overpowered if you isolated the card by itself.
But it has been discuss to death that Tickatus warlock only work against, residentsleeper deck that doesn't play any pressure, for example: spell priest that just pure removal with galakrond.
Any deck, zoo, aggro, mid range tempo, cheat pally, any mage win eat Tickatus lock for breakfast

I just don't see the un-fun element you guys are talking about. I played quite a few matches against Tickatus as control Priest. Some of which I managed to win. I'd be happy to check to see if the add on saved the replays so I can share it. My games are somewhat low ladder (gold) but the point stands that Tickatus can be beat by other control decks. Technically it CAN be done. Galakrond and board removals come to mind as viable.
I can say this at least...and I know how it sounds but it's true. This is the first expansion I'm not preordering since Witchwood. Now that's mostly because I have a lot of gold and dust saved up and need to spend them. But it's still hard to resist and I just now almost preordered anyway. It was the thought of Tickatus that stopped me. I've already started playing less because of that card (and, yes, Rustwyx and the synergy between the two) and I don't know how much I'll end up seeing it or something else that makes playing the game suck for me.
I'm a control player through and through. As long as there's a deck like that that's fairly prevalent in the meta--one that cancels control decks--playing Hearthstone becomes a lot more stressful and a lot less enjoyable. I'm sure other (non-Warlock) control players feel the same way. (As a side note: unbelievable fail to print that card at the same time as C'thun.)
The classic complaint about mill, it's "unfun". Which can be true, burning your win condition can be frustrating. But if you only got one win condition then maybe your deck needs a tweek. Similaly to the effect of Tickatus, if you play against aggro then the game might be fast enough that you might not even be able to draw your win con. Or maybe it is on the bottom of the deck. The difference is that you get to see your card being burned in this case. To conclude, you are just being whiny.

I think it's a bit more than a whiny gripe to be upset about facing the everyday prospect of 15 cards being milled from my deck and then my opponent filling his with primes. The answer to this is "Duh. Just don't play control decks that are susceptible to this." Well those exact decks are by far my favorite decks and actually make up a lot of what Hearthstone is to me. To conclude, f*&# off.
But is that not the name of the game? You have some good match-ups and some bad. Your favorite decks can't be strong against everything. And if tickatus makes people play aggro out of frustration, then you will have a lot of aggro decks to control with your favourite decks. To conclude, deal with it.
It seems like you only wanted to start a new salt thread if you tell people with different opinions to fuck off.
It’s mostly the Tracking discussion all over again. They finally changed it in core to avoid all those discussions and here we go again. If you don’t go to fatigue (and face it: that is very rare in modern day Hearthstone), the milled cards might as well have been at the bottom of your deck and you would have lost anyways.
Control decks sadly face a lot worse problems than Tickatus. Extremely efficient card draw makes it so aggro decks never run out of cards anymore. It is therefore impossible to win via attrition. It is a design choice by the team and will probably not change any time soon. The only control decks viable are the ones that can counterpressure and have a finisher to end the game. That is the real reason why control decks are not doing well at the moment. Oh and good taunt and heal minions rotating out tonight is not going to help unfortunately...
Wow. Nice meta perspective. I guess that could be a slight silver lining. I mean I guess it's better that they try new things they think could be interesting and see how they play and how they're received. Better that they tried this than be too timid. I just hope they don't try this shit again.
Everytime there’s a card that hard counters control , people start with drama, so predictable…
It happened before with Jade Idol, Crystal Core, Shudderwock, Open the Waygate, Kingsbane, and now Tickatus… What all the decks that ran these cards had in common: They were not op at all if you analized winrate. Yet they were still nerfed
Truth is: Control Players are spoiled brats. They want the ability to deal with aggro easily, and that is fine and balanced for them, but if another type of strategy that counters their slow style rise in popularity , even if not op across the board, they will demand nerfs . And Blizzard usually drops the hammer, lol
Why don’t you grow a pair and learn to deal with bad matchups like every other archetype do? Tickatus is fine and it`s existence discourage decks that run 25 removal spells, aka ResidentSleeper decks.
Control players aren't brats. We just want to be able to play control decks. We don't mind there being decks that beat us. We just hate decks that we have zero chance against. I guess this isn't the first one of those though. Mecathun was one if I recall. Combo in general. I've been around a while and see it all. Losing to Mecathun, Malygos, etc. felt bad but this feels worse. Just sayin. Feels bad.

The difference is that for mecha'thun you needed to usually run like 3-4 cards along with it to ensure the win, and you needed to reach fatigue. With tickatus you need just him, and because you can play it so fast the other control player has no chance at countering it.
