I've never been here. But, it looks like the only deck I'm interested in playing right now is control lock. And there are some good additions in the core set. And some nice commons to fill slots. But, Honestly, I don't see a single Legendary or Epic I actually need to build my deck with.
I think I might sit this one out. Or at least partially. Right now I'm planning on buying packs to get that first legendary. Then I'll probably just stop. In a couple months I will probably have been gifted 10 more packs or so, and I'll go ahead and open packs at that point until I get my 2nd legendary. Then stop for good. Maybe use my gold for the mini-set instead. (I paid cash for the last mini-set, so I guess I'm not totally not f2p. But, maybe this go around I'll use gold)
Really weird spot to be sitting. I usually can't wait to spend all my gold on day 1.
8K Gold is a lot. I‘m F2P too, sitting on 2,5k right know and still im spending all of it. But i want to play with new cards and build new fun decks with it. Doesn‘t matter if they are good or not. They shall entertain me :D
The only point of spending all your saved gold on packs is to play with the new cards. If you don't intend to do that then obviously you should save your gold for later.
Even if in a few weeks you change your mind, you can simply buy packs then. There is no difference.
Edit: I misread the rewards track. I thought it gave 11 barrens packs but it gives 11 total packs with only a few being from the barrens expansion. Whoops.
Not spending any gold on packs whether i had 100g or 10k+ as mainly an Arena player - but Standard is gonna be garbage with broom pali & Rogue literally wreking (atleast) the first week. Depends on how well they eventually fix standard if i even buy packs this expansion
i'm still thinking about, how much gold i'll spend. Sitting on ~15k Gold and over 50k Dust. Perhaps i'll craft a few cards that i want and wait for the miniset and go from there.

I wonder why do you even care with that amount of ressources ? You can get full expansion sets for years, or just craft whatever you like whenever you need it for the rest of your life. I'm genuinely asking I'm not judging you. There must be a point where it's not worth managing ressources anymore and actually spend them.

yea its very sad that only 3 of those packs are barrens packs, 8 of them are year of phoenix packs, which are kinda useless imo.
they should add first 10 pack legendary pity timer to the yearly packs since they are giving a lot of them now. I think the tavern brawls also reward them too...
I dont know, but this expansion feels bad (again). I was last hyped about expansion with galakronds (descend of dragons) and the quests (Saviours of uldum). But last expansions? Old gods cards are almost unplayable and there are tickatus and ilgynoth, who can destroy your game. Soul expansion was interesting, but again, not exciting. Primes ended up being joke, only played in HL decks and from rustwig.
But otherwise, past expansions were quite underwhelming (especially because aggro DH, Hunter and now Rogue are just so strong lately).
I am looking forward to some decks:
Hero power mage - seems fun
Celestial aligment
Handbuff?
We will see, what is playable. I suspect Rogue will be insane and therefor there will not be space to be creatinve with control decks.

it definitely has that Rastakhan's Rumble feel to it - but with such massive changes (core set removing so much from each class) and it being the first expansion of the year it could actually be amazing still, atleast in some modes.
f2p too, sitting on 10k. I guess i'll just buy 10 packs and be saving for next expo til i play only one class and have enough dust to create anything i want (even without dusting rotating cards)
Remember, the March season will end just after the New HS Year will start. The rewards from Ranked will be Barren's packs.
And if you save your Weekly quest until the Extension will be out, you can jump straight to lvl20 according to the Rewards Track Which will provide you 2 Barrens legendary (including Mankrik), 1 epic, and 3 Barrens packs.
Depending on how many packs you will receive from March Season, you may almost have already 5 free packs, 2 legendary & 1 epic cards. If you are not interested in this extension, the 5 packs may provide you one more Legendary (1/10 packs) and 1 extra epic card (1/5), so you may have no need to buy packs to have at least 4 legendary cards (including offered Shadow Hunter Vol'jin ) cards from the extension.
If you are playing Wild, and you have not yet completed the Saviors of Uldum & Rise of Shadows adventures, you can also pay for the second chapters of each of them (the first chapter is free). They are rotating with the HS Year, and will then only be available with Real Money after that. Buying the second chapter of the adventures before should allow you to continue to pay with golds in the future. Rewards from the adventure include a Golden pack, which after the rotation should only provide Standard extension Cards.
Furthermore, you can also get Sylvannas Hero Skin for 1500Po, until April 6th (I guess). If you like the hero skin you can buy it :)
Make your choice, there are so many stuff you can do with 8K Po ;)

Sitting on 8,5k gold . Gonna spend 6,5k on packs and keep 2k for the mini set.
From day 1 I will start saving gold for the next exp.
Ez f2p

As a Wild player, I think the only card I am going to use is Death's Head Cultist for Renolock. Everything else seems pretty lacklustre.
Could this be another Rastakhan's Rumble? Probably not that bad. But it is underwhelming.

There are quite a few good cards for tier 2-3 wild decks like Kingsbane Rogue, token Druid and control-otk Mage.

i got 20k and spening it all
