As a British person, I feel the loss of this emote more than most. They said that it was primarily used for BM'ing but it that's the case, why do we still have "Greetings"? I hear that at the end of the match as often as I hear it at the start.
I would very much like a way to say to my opponent "Sorry about this, I realise that I've only won because I got lucky" because this happens quite often.
Totally agree. I would like to say "sorry" if I forget to end my turn or something like that. "Thanks" is most of the time just before they got lethal.
*nods* I would've thought that they'd drop the Threat emote before anything else, but maybe I'm just a bit passive-aggressive. :) Mind you, given the work they've been doing recently, I suspect that we'll get new emotes on a battle pass track at some point in the future.
It's amazing how people can get triggered by emotes.
Has anyone also noticed that when an opponent concedes, you can't click emotes now? The speech bubbles stay up for like a millisecond. You can sometimes click them still if you are super quick. Pretty sure that's a new thing.
ironically the 'sorry' emote was the least BM emote. in face it had zero BM attached to it. because it's literally saying you are sorry that you got lucky. the single one emote that wasn't rage inducing got removed. crazy.
A sorry emote definitely wouldn't be worse than what we got now. Dickish self-absorbed over-ambitious people will just say "Thank you" or "Greetings" at the end of a game, no matter how well you played.
On the other hand I got a pretty insane high roll from Jandice earlier today and a "Sorry" would have actually been appropriate. So you're left with a "Wow" emote that might sound to the opponent like you rubbing it in further.
Too bad they removed sorry, it was the only polite in-game emote, right now we have only greetings and well played as chess handshakes before and after the game and that's it.

English is not my native language, so, with a high probability, mistakes were made.

It’s mostly make believe anyway. You don’t know if the opponent will interpret the emotes the way you intend them.
See above, your “well played chess handshake” turns you into a “dickish self-absorbed over-ambitious” guy - but their Jandice highroll “sorry” would (of course) not be considered BM and rubbing it in further.
Hi will the sorry emote be comming back in "New Classic format" ? Would be super awesome , really miss it
Nope. SORRY THAT HAPPENED.
If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!
I still don't get why they removed it.
It honestly was the most genuine and useful emote. And every emote is BM when you're losing.
The hello emote shouldn't even exist and is the most abused one, it should be automatic at the start of the game.

Greetings.
But they said it will be HS exactly how we used to know it:(
It kind of is automatic already; both heroes say something before the mulligan phase.
Also Hero cards give you a new hello emote, and it might be the rarest one used.
Idiots
It's wild how they removed "sorry" because it was BMing, but kept "thanks." Hell, even "greetings" can be more rage-inducing sometimes.

I mean there’s a literal ‘Threaten’ emote. Removing ‘Sorry’ makes no sense.
Removing did not make HS better.
ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY, I WANT IT BACK!!!

Theres worse BM emotes ingame. SI7 Anduins Wow emote is pure gold for BM. "Wow. Really. Wow" when u have super plays
I love how "sorry" was replaced by an even more sarcastic emote
Yeah, makes no sense.

Maybe they even squelched you right at the start.
