I'm going to say that in the past, control decks were an option, and the game was fun for me. This is not the case anymore. I thought it's just me, then I took a look at the statistics. Top 5 decks are all aggro decks ( source : https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/ ).
On ladder, I meet Aggro on top of aggro. Then tickatus. It's all a big vomit show.
At this point, I'm only playing the game out of inertia, there is very little pleasure left. Does anyone else feel the same way ?

This is perhaps the most common grievance I see on this website. You're definitely not alone. As someone who doesn't play Standard, and doesn't have time to play Control, I don't really know what advice I could give to you other than just wait it out; with the Core Set changes and the new expansion dropping at the end of the month, there's sure to be an explosion of variety at least. 3 Sets leaving Standard, as well as each Core Set for most classes being generally weaker than their Basic/Classic stuff, people will have a hard time playing the same decks as they are right now.
Tikakus is the reason Control is not attractive anymore.
Next rotation will be the same.Tikatus for another year, and Warlock even got another auto win card in Control matchup thats buffed Jarraxus. I really want to stay away from aggro but I do not have any choice.
Stealth rouge (which is the only real aggro deck on the list) is overtuned for sure, but otherwise I'm ok with having more mid-range than usual. It's a bit too swing turn based IMO, but I guess all the card draw has reduced the benefit of focusing on value trades.

Tickatus is in like 4% of decks right now. I do think he'll become a problem next rotation, especially with upgraded jaraxxus running around, but I hardly see him as being the only reason control isn't popular currently.
Also, Blizzard devs have mentioned (I can't remember who or where, maybe in the AMA or one of Iksar's Twitter Q&A's) that they're trying to pivot control decks into having a win condition that isn't infinite value. I think Tickatus points to this, and other control-centric classes will probably get win conditions that aren't centered around generating infinite value/winning through fatigue. Hopefully, we see this in the Barrens, and perhaps we already have with Mordresh Fire Eye, giving control Mages a massive option to burst down opponents. Control will live on, though it will change.

He has low winrate because most of the deck are his hard counter which is aggro. The moment the meta shift toward control he will be 40% of the decks
And why ppl play aggro? Other than fast laddering, they do not want tikakus to spoil their fun.
I think if Mill tools like Tickatus are going to be in the game then HS needs to man up and add a Graveyard system along with cards that let Control and especially Combo retrieve their critical cards. It adds a push and pull, add Mill to fuck with them and they add cards that protect from that. But these cards don't help their win condition so the deck gets a bit worse, eventually a balance will be struck and Combo won't be out of control but neither will it be killed by one card.
Plus you can only resurrect what is in your Graveyard so that will be a big indirect nerf to that annoying priest archetype who will no longer be able to have 7 of a kind of minion that only died once.
Well, 1/4 meta is stealth rogue, 1/4 meta is mage (mostly secret or highlander), 1/2 meta is the rest. And you say tickatus is the reason for anything.
There are two super fast OTK decks in standard meta (mage and DH), aggro has nearly infinite cheap reload, but yeah Tickatus is the problem. Also, who plays Tickatus - control warlock, so what is killing control lock? Also also, maybe try adding win condition to your control deck (Archmage Vargoth+Mask of C'Thun+Potion of Illusion, maybe some N'Zoth, God of the Deep [menagerie warrior works great agaist warlock by the way], etc.). And no, C'thun suck to much to be reliable win con.
Pretty sure there are several valid warlock control variants including ones without tiketus. They only have a hard time against rogue or a druid with seeds. And they still beat rogue sometimes.

They say that, and then they bring back Jaraxxus as an op control hero x) Sounds like an exciting control meta we're about to have, warlock is gonna have infinite value with Rustwix and Jaraxxus, it's going to get easy wins with Tickatus, and other classes are going to have... whatever the f blizzard is going to try with this expansion, that i don't think will get close to the power level of 2 mana 6/6 or discarding your opponent's deck
Much more probable is Control Warlock will still suck and get killed trying to mill opponent and get hundreds Primes while getting smashed his head hard.

There's only 2 weeks left in the current year, the whole game's getting flipped around after that. So maybe just wait it out till then.

please don't bully my son
You're not alone.
But the whole core set change seem to be leaning towards control in a lot of ways.
I'm hopeful for the changes. Hang in there.

So stupid.

For the sole reason i wanted to play some control im playing reno control lock on wild. Had no problem reaching D10
What makes you think that you are? It's not like we have a choice as long as Tickatus exists.
Take a walk on the wild side...
"reno control" is only control in its name, it is essence it is a midrange deck, maybe on the heavy side but it is not control
Not really sure if i agree with that, but yeah it's hard to set clear line between both fast midrange/agro and slow midrange/control.
I still would consider that reno lock "control deck" with amount of value it can generate.
They say that, and then they bring back Jaraxxus as an op control hero x)

yep, I miss my wallet warrior... or Grind mage... :( I need the new meta..., hope that control decks will rise
