When I started playing this game I was only on mobile, I thought I was linked up Google Play or my e-mail or something...
A few months later, after I had collected a handful of legendaries and was really starting to get into the game, I tried logging in one day, and there was an error, it was asking me to log in, but every account name and number I could think of wasn't working. So I left it alone for a while.
When I opened up the game again later on, I couldn't find where I could log into my account. The game was starting me at the tutorial again, like I had never played.
I started from scratch again, and I guess all things considered, I hadn't lost a lot, nor did I pay for any bundles or packs (yet), but I'd be a bit better off with dust and gold by now if I hadn't funked that up.
I'm still not really sure what my problem was, but I learned a valuable lesson from that. And it's to always make sure you've linked your account to something you know, and don't assume your progress is saved.
Crafted Golden Whizbang thinking they would keep him to classic. What mmore? Ah, Hours and money spent in buy classic packs that will value anything more after this legacy mode, so, I guess I just regret to play hearthstone at all. I'm having a very hard time in get rid of my last account where i Put so much effort in collect Classic cards thinking they would rework the legendaries and other cards as part of the Classic/Basic revamp, not what is going now. So, after all... I just regret playing this game. that's it
The month that I hit Legendary I also played in a high level tournament. The deck I used to hit legendary did really well, but I brought some other questionable choices. Just wish I had gone with some strong meta choices rather then my home brew on the other decks (the legendary deck was homebrew too) but I didn't really have time with making legendary (under the old system) to refine my other decks. I should have been more humble and brought net decks for the other decks.
In the short view, missing out on the Sylvanas hero skin. I was expecting a "Last chance to buy!" Tweet or similar to clue me in on when to get it, but there wasn't one.
In the long view, allowing Hearthstone to feed the part of my brain that was benefitting from getting better at MtG. Like eating McDonalds instead of a good steak. Went from grinding on the PTQ circuit to just lying in my PJs going face.
This is meant to be lighthearted, not a way to get a jab in at someone or anything like that. I’m curious to hear some self-inflicted hearthstone horror stories as there’s not much going on in HS yet. Perhaps we can help someone avoid repeating our mistakes.
I’ll start: Almost a year ago now, I was looking through my collection to see what cards I was missing while enjoying another beer. It was late and I was too tired to play anymore, so I decided to look at pretty card art by crafting some of them golden to hear their voice lines and check out the animations, and then undoing to get my dust back. I ended up crafting and accidentally clicking away from this magnificent card and he’ll likely stay there to embarrass me forever:
Lesson learned: Come to Hearthpwn or go to Youtube if you want to see a card’s animations, and don’t drink and craft my friends.Plus you can always get disconnected so it’s really not worth the risk!
I've had a golden Lorewalker Cho sitting in my collection since somewhere around TGT or BRM for this very reason. I've considered disenchanting him to at least get 1.6k dust back, but I feel like I need to keep him around as a reminder of my mistakes.
I also drunkenly convinced myself that Dragonrider Talritha Paladin was going to be completely broken about a week after Descent of Dragons released and disenchanted a Dragonbane to craft her, along with a gold Stormhammer. Lesson learned: Don't drink and deckbuild, people.
By far my biggest regret as a wild player is to see that there are so many archetype possible and in the end ONLY play against Secret Mage, Raza and Big Priest... Just cause those decks let's you win without even having to think... That's sad...
haha, that's me for now. I have quite many decks in wild but end up only play Secrect Mage and Big Priest, due to there's sometimes I play during working time, and only those deck allow me to do that. If I play other decks, the change of mis-play is really high.
My biggest hearthstone regret was NOT getting into ARENA as soon as it launched... like i farm infinite gold and infinite cards and infinite dust if i did it sooner i'd have a full golden collection sigh..... now i'm just reserved to filling out TGT and the old sets of cards i missed out on :( feels bad man...

I’ve been playing since beta so I’ve done my fair share of disenchanting good legends to make decks when I first started but I wised up pretty fast before GvG to grow a collection. Overall, I don’t really have much regrets when it comes to disenchanting.
During closed beta people were trying to sell access to the game so I got scammed $25 riot points and got nothing in return. Overall, it wasn’t much of a loss because in like 2-3 weeks it became open beta.
My biggest regret was actually grinding to legend... Before that I really enjoyed the game and couldn’t get enough so I tried to take on the ultimate goal of getting that sweet legend card back! I grinded for days just to get to rank 1 and failing before end of month... This was during the time that Blackrock was rotating (Played Dragon Warrior) and I lost my standard deck. Next month, I converted to wild and got to rank 1-2 again before asking a friend to help ELO boost me to legend. In those high ranked games, 5+, every loss was a game I had to win to replace it so it lead to terrible game anxiety. Ever since then the game has never been the same... I just play just finish quests and gain gold till the next expansion. Those 2 months of grinding to legend ruined my love of the game and that was like 4 years ago...
There silver lining in the future! I’m regaining that spark and excitement for the game with the announcement of the classic format! I usually just stay at silver 20 and grind wins but I’m actually looking to grind to legend in classic. I’m reunited with my first love of HS, face Hunter! And hopefully will get my Hunter 1k wins in the next few months :D
