I'm absolutely floored they're moving Wild Pyromancer to being the "Wild" Pyromancer. I feel this card was so integral in so many of Paladin board clears. Why, Blizz, why?? lol now, removing the melodrama, seriously, wtf
Seems the practice of having neutral cards that participate in board wipes without severe consequences (e.g. Deathwing) is a thing of the past

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Druid and Pala will rely on a MINION (Blademaster Samuro) as their only available Boardclears....meanwhile Warlock is lifting a finger clearing up a Wave each Turn.....2021 Meta looks balanced !
Scappy, baby . . . I know I've been accused of being wordy, but you can make it past the 12th word of a sentence.
"without severe consequences" was definitely in there somewhere.
Random discards in a post-turn 10 control deck situation is a pretty severe consequence compared to non-neutral board wipes like Twisting Nether or Plague of Death.
Edit: I'm not sure where Plague Scientist comes into the discussion. Never said anything about spot removal. But I was speaking in the Equality sitch, under which Sheep is a turn slower than the Pyro, but yes, Samuro may become similarly problematic after a while in standard.

I really think talking about all of these changes to the core set is a bit premature.
Part of the benefit Blizzard gets by a free rotating core set is the ability to add new cards and bring more incentives to getting recent packs.
You could see a minion with similar effect as Wild Pyro at 1 mana that maybe only triggers once a turn as a 1/3. We literally have no clue.
I know this comes up each expac, but this one it is especially true. They now have the space to power creep or tweak classic/basic cards without them being compared in the same available sets.
Druid could get a 5 mana choose 1 spell: deal 2 damage to all enemy minions or heal your minions for 5.
There’s little point in talking like we know what this next expac will bring before seeing cards. And even then, we might be wrong until the card is actually played. Remember corridor creeper?

I said plague scientist because if you give poison to sheep or samuro, it's a board wipe

Most likely in part, so that they could then semi-revert the nerf to Equality and bring it's cost down again without it being as overpowered when combined with WP as it was in standard. (Obv they care less about it in Wild)
I think the whole point of Samuro is to replace the role played by Wild Pyromancer. You'll be able to do things like Equality-Samuro or Samuro->plague doctor (though he has to live) but not twice.

Actually Paladin has better options, such as Barov with Broomstick
Priest is the only class that abused Pyromancer effect in standard, and is the class that will miss him more
To be honest, the future os some classes is relying at new cards from expansion, since they lost their iconic basic and classic cards, so depending on what will come we can complain later missing our friend Pyro

Your argument was overshadowed by your fantastic pun.
My custom expansion: Game of Thrones
Same reason that Doomsayer was nixed.

Uhh, Deathwing still clears the board. He now got buffed to discard one card for each minion cleared, so he no longer nukes your hand
