Why did HS devs add 4 cards from AoO Xpac to the DH Core Set? Probably because DH has a smaller pool of cards to add from?
DH has same amount of cards. Year of dragons rotate. Only 3 sets left in standard+new barrens set whic all has same amount of dh cards. Initiate set rotates out. But Ashes not and they add 4 cards from Ashes but those cards are still available in standard packs...

So...what's the problem here? because I don't see it. They had take those cards from Ashes of Outland because DH has a small pool of cards. Other classes got currently standard cards too.
Actualy, it seems that Demon Hunter will have more carrds in standard than any other class, considering the amount of cards they got from every expansion in every Year of the Phoenix expansion.
I believe when they released the class they stated that they will continue working on what cards will eventually make up DH's basic set. They also said they might be adding cards from other sets to it, until they have rounded it up. That's exactly what we're seeing now, except the basic set has been re-designed into core set.
Why Blizzard added 4 ashea of outland cards for demon hunter for core set? Ashes is still in standard for 1 year until core set rotates...
huh. I never thought about this. It's true. these cards:
are actually from Ashes of Outland expansion, and they should naturally rotate at April 2022. Core set rotates every year too, so in case of rotation, nothing changes. It makes sense to put cards that will rotate (about after 1 month from now) in the core set, like cards from Rise of Shadows, Saviors of Uldum, Descent of Dragons, Basic and Classic cards. But cards from Ashes of Outland, Scholomance and Darkmoon do not make sense to be put in the core set, since they are already in the standard until 2022.
now I really wonder why they did it like this. This is very strange.
The thing about those four cards is that they always felt like classic cards. all weapon based classes have an epic weapon in classic Gorehowl , Gladiator's Longbow, Sword of Justice, Doomhammer. demon hunter didn't have a card draw without spectral sight, and the taunt minion is pretty good.
I think it's just a formality cause the cards always felt pretty vanilla and like they should've belonged to the basic DH set even or at least the Initiate set but yeah it literally changes nothing about those 4 cards, they'll simply rotate at the same time as they would've if they stayed as a part of the Ashes set. The only good news is for players that don't have them, then they're just free. Good news for me, I guess, cause I dusted the blades when they got nerfed and never crafted them again.
it actually makes total sense to put DH cards from the sets that are not rotating this year (ashes, scholomance or darkmoon) into the new DH core set. in those three expansions DH always got more cards then all the other classes. In total, if i am correct, DH has 13 more cards in those three expansions combined, then the other classes. Taking 4 of them and putting them into Coreset effectively reduces this number to 9 cards. So unless the other classes are catching up this year, DH will still have a lot more cards to choose from then the rest (talking about standard, not wild or arena)

That just means you can get them for free by playing Demon Hunter instead of having to unpack or craft them

One presumes because it means you can unlock these for free when in the core set. In particular it helps make up the numbers for the DH class cards.

I think that ultimately has to do with the ancestors of the indigenous people of new zealand.

DH is going to have 15 extra cards after rotation. Doubling 4 of them into the classic set doesn't really help that.
And all four of these cards were going to stay in standard anyway, so I don't see why they did this at all. It makes no sense.
Unless they're "HOF"ing 15 of the extra demon hunter cards and these are among them. That's my only guess.
