Two quick questions. I have been collecting the basic and classic set since Blackrock. I have all of the classic legendary dragons as Goldens. With the updated dragons being introduced and the old variant being wild and classic exclusive, would the core dragons also be golden or would I have to craft them or open them that way?
Secondly, with the core set always being free but also rotating out with yearly or so, will those cards be kept in our collection when they rotate out or will we lose them?
The second one is concerning as I dont want to suddenly craft a bunch of cards to play in wild when they leave.
No, you won't get the new Dragon aspects in golden cause they are separate cards, which means you can play old Ysera and new Ysera on wild. Also non of the cards you previously had golden will be golden (the core set copies) cause they are separate non-craftable copies and the way to earn golden copies of those core set cards is supposed to be tied to achievements that have yet not been released or even talked about.
The core set is a rotating mechanic that grants you all cards from the core set for free as Uncraftable copies (think of cards like C'thun, the Galakronds, Marin the Fox , etc.) so yes, when this next standard year ends the core set cards will disappear from your collection and you'll get brand new one that will belong to the core set from year 2022.
Core won't be golden. Golden cards in core set are based off golden hero portraits. So if you have all heroes golden, you have gold core set. If you have some golden, a portion of your set is golden.
Cards rotated from core set will not stay free in your collection. But if you need 1 for a deck you made in wild, you can always craft that card later. They won't leave the game.
How I understand it anyway.

Curious to hear your thoughts on this.
