I'm justifying it with the easiest justification of all time . . . the lack of requirement for a justification.
Lots of people manage to be annoyed by everything Blizzard does. One has only to look at these forums to know that. As I said in the original post of that little sub thread, the dust comes when they're worried whatever annoyance is in question will produce negative returns to the revenue stream. I guess they were worried about that this time, because apparently the dust is coming.
As to the pedantic fellow in aisle 4 who wants to say talking about a buff or nerf is irrelevant because the original copy still exists in wild, obviously we're talking about standard. But you knew that; you just wanted to spew. I understand.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I really think this thread should be closed as we’ve gotten our answer from twitter and there’s nothing left to resolve. Plus there is now an article on it and that lays it out pretty well.
But in case of any newcomers here is the quick rundown:
• With Classic going away, all the of old dragons will be going away and into wild or available in the new game mode: Classic
• We get new dragon aspects for free thanks to the core set, but these cards are different versions of the Classic dragons! In wild you will be able to run 3 Yseras in druid, or 3 Malygos (Malygeese) in Mage, 3 Nozdormu in Paladin, or 4 Deathwings in Warrior (5 if you count the hero portrait)
• New Ysera aka Ysera the Dreamer would be too powerful with her old dream cards being guaranteed to your hand, so they made most of them a little weaker besides laughing sister which is now 1 mana cheaper.
• Despite the “Old” classic Ysera rotating into wild, she will adopt Ysera the Dreamer’s new dream cards for some reason. Hence the term nerf being used
• The team has confirmed that old Ysera is getting nerfed and that they will be providing a dust compensation for her. Because if you just crafted her for wild or something she will be pointedly worse than before.
bonus: Old Ysera will have the same old dream cards in Classic mode and you can enjoy her in her former glory there.
Really all that’s left to talk about now is to speculate why they are nerfing Old Ysera’s dream pool, rather than give them different dream pools.
Maybe it’s to preserve flavor and expectations for new players, maybe they are printing a card that triggers end of turn effects at some point, or maybe it’s just spaghetti coding indie company (I’m joking)
A lot of people in this thread don't seem to understand OP's initial complaint, or even understand what's going on, so allow me to explain.
Firstly, the old Ysera is not being removed from the game, or buffed into the new Ysera, it is being moved to the legacy set. The new Ysera card is a completely new card.
Dream now costs 1, and can only target enemy minions, Nightmare now gives +4/+4 instead of +5/+5, Ysera Awakens now costs 3, and only affects minions, Laughing Sister now costs 2, and Emerald Drake is unchanged.
3 of these 4 changes are very clearly nerfs, making the original Ysera much worse than before, which should be considered a nerf to Ysera.
It does not matter that this Ysera is rotating to Wild, it is still a nerf, and players who own Ysera should be able to disenchant it for full dust value.
That's cause most HS players are idiots.
The point is you clowns - Blizzard clearly nerfed old Ysera without offering us any dust compensation.
I'm justifying it with the easiest justification of all time . . . the lack of requirement for a justification.
I mean whatever... But Blizzard need to justify it (“blizz don’t NEED to do anything! roflll tee hee”)
People pay real world money for these cards so changing them to the point they cannot be used in the decks they were crafted for without any reimbursement would be a pretty shitty thing to do.

None of this is relevant to whether or not Blizzard should reimburse people after changing cards. You seem to have developed a dislike for people ‘moaning’ about Blizzard on this forum and are trying to squeeze it into conversations where it doesn’t fit.
Ok guys, one of devs already confirmed by twitter that old Ysera nerf will be compensated with the usual full dust disenchant, case closed
Slippery slope, indeed!
*Grabs popcorn for the upcoming....*

Nerf? Mate, new Ysera is miles better, what are you even talking about.
Release the Kraken!
Can you please read the rest of the post before bumping? Smh my head

Umm - you might want to check the recent update from Twitter on that one . Just a heads up.
100% correct. This thread can be closed.
I'm pretty sure that Blizz has confirmed that old Ysera will give full dust value once the new one releases.

I knew my golden Ysera is gonna pay up eventually. Thanks to all who rise awareness about this problem.
