I'm not sure why it is not on the card, though this cap does exist for other cards too (e.g. Defile). It exists to stop infinite combos, but probably should be communicated in-game rather than in a random patch note somewhere.
It's not on the card to make it not more complicated than it needs to be. "Deal 1 damage to all minions 30 times or until a minion dies" just doesn't sound as good. Adding so much text only because of a case that happens in 0.00001% of all games just isn't worth it.
Thanks. Why does it state that it keeps going until a minion dies. Surely they should have (capped at 30)?
Cause that is just way too much text to add and under normal situations you rarely get a 30+ health minion. The 30 triggers cap is just so people can't abuse infinite triggers to keep their opponents trapped in a game forever and make them have to concede to get out of that. You could literally build a huge minion and trigger Bladestorm infinitely or as others have pointed out just give a miinon immune and it would trigger an infinite amount of times. Pretty much every effect that lets you abuse the turn timer is capped at 30 triggers, so stuff like Shudderwock, Bladestorm and Defile can only trigger a maximum of 30 times.
Technically it doesn't cap at 30 damage, but at 30 triggers (like all card with repeated effects). So if you somehow had spell damage +1 it would cap at 60 damage

I did not know this!! Thanx for sharing indeed!!
So all cards with trigger effects stop at 30. Cool Jeopardy fact!!

Bladestorm caps at 30 triggers

This has been brought up before, but I think they cap it so that you don't get a situation where immune minions never die and the game never ends.
Something like that.
Maybe they should have capped it at a higher number so that when you do get the odd time a minion has more than 30 health, it can kill them...

Whole heartedly agree

Like the thinking there. Cheers. Kind of makes sense tbh
