It's not fun losing from 30 to 0 in one turn with zero interaction or possibility to counter it.
You can't stop small spell mages' rampage since every piece for it are spells from their hand, and the few minions needed to complete it aren't played until the combo can be activated. I just played a control warrior deck and had 50 armour, and I still list in one turn.
Il'gynoth DH is also one of those decks where you can't do anything about what's happening, and this deck also has incredibly survival added to that.
Personally, I really hope they bring back Dirty rat as a permanent addition to the upcoming core set. There has to be cards like dirty rat at all times in Hearthstone imo, or else decks like these will always find its way in.
There's nothing wrong with OTK decks. It's not like they can assemble their combo on turn 1. If you play completely reactive and don't attack them, they will win.
If the combo is too easy to get and is way too consistent, then it will get nerfed. But for now, it takes a while for this to happen.
I agree about Dirty Rat though. It's a card that can really come in clutch against these decks, but it can also backfire if it's played at the wrong time or against and opponent with a beefy minion in hand. I like that aspect of it. Risk/reward.
I think you can actually mess up the DH OTK by just armoring up and not playing any minions except a weapon counter on his second aldrachi. They need something to throw their removal spells on to make hand space for the combo :)
Aggro is favoured vs combo, combo is favoured vs control, control is favoured vs aggro. Usually. If you despise combo decks play 2 hecklebots and 2 pandas to play them again, don't whine that you don't have tools, you have them, you're simply too lazy to implement them because they're not optimal (as well they shouldn't be). Or just play aggro. Or, and this is probably the more sensible one, you can complain less about two tier 4 decks...just saying. If your only issues on ladder are il'gynoth and mozaki, I wonder what kind of deck you're running, tbh.

play aggro if you want to beat otk decks, your passive janky homebrew deck will never win against otk.

Nothing. Unless they become hands down tier 1, otk combo decks have a natural place in CCGs imo.
The only really strong deck with OTK potential currently is Wild Raza Priest.
