Now that wins don't give extra reward, should we have a fast mode? Something in the range of 10-15 seconds per turn would be very cool, permanent Nozdormu effect.
No because that's a restriction that heavily favors aggro decks and Hearthstone game design is already in favor of aggro decks.
Soon people would be complaining that Blitz mode is infested by hyper aggro and request another mode where rope is longer instead of shorter.
Other people would complain that don't have enough time to play on old/cheap devices.
They can make Blitz Tavern Brawls however.
Keep in mind Nozdormu's effect was meant to be a disruption tool, and still would be against many decks. There's a reason you have to pay 9 mana for it.
If Blizzard ever makes an option to cancel animations or stop animations from affecting the rope, then we can talk again about shortening the rope.
The only problem is that speed mode could be so fun it replaces the current ranked system :D But if a mode like that would be made it definitely would need animations disable or at least reduced heavily.
Such mode doesn't favor aggro since aggro plays most cards per turn on average. It disfavors decks that rely on a lot of drawing.
The truth is HS doesn't evolved much through the years and a blitz mode would be a step to safe a dying game.
