I hate them, from 1 mana up to the rest roping is a cancer.
They just hope to win with concedes by irritating.
This is really bad, come on I don't have much playtime, wasting it with roping is everything beside fun. Maybe blizzard should make 2 version or 2 settings, 1 standard and 1 fast where you have nozdormu times or so (maybe bit slower than nozdormu but you get the point)
It is irritating beyond belief. It'd be one thing if these players were legit using the time to plan and think. Take Lifecoach. He was in/famous for that when he played hearthstone.
But for people who do it just to try to farm exp or farm concede wins? Total dicks. Only trouble is, you can't really prove which type of player they are in any concrete way for Blizz to act on it. It sucks. But that's why I try to take my turns as quickly as possible when I get a good handle on my decks and how they handle against the meta game. That way it helps to cut down the time even if the worst happens and they take every last possible second.
The biggest mistake by blizzard was giving reward xp based on the time you played instead of other factors, like winning, playing cards, dealing damage to opponent, dealing damage to minions, etc... this caused people to just start a match in a gamemode they dont care about rank and just let the ropes go while they fetch something to eat, drink or go to the bathroom...
edit: and there are people who exploit this by using a bot that just heropowers every turn while they play odd warrior in wild ladder...
edit2: this actually shouldt be a problem unless you have little time to play, or you are playing a OTK deck that fails dealing 80+ damage in a very late turn...

I was told that the experience was not from the time played, but the number of interactions in a game that get played...not sure which is true. If it is actually time played...Blizzard created a huge error by unleashing all the juvenile dumb@$$ on the rest of us intentionally roping just for exp.

the xp for interaction is only for leveling up your character... like mage and warlock... but reward track xp is calculated by time...
check it yourself... go in a ladder you dont care about rank and just do nothing... you get xp...

Just remind yourself that they are probably degenerates who have accomplished nothing in life and all they are doing is openly broadcasting how much more successful you are then them.

Sounds like you're letting them succeed, too.
As is repeatedly the case, here - there is literally nothingwrong with roping for any reason whatsoever, whether it's trying to to figure out your next turn, how to deal with what's on the board or simply trying to annoy your opponent into conceding. These are all legitimate and valid reasons to take your whole allotted turn.
You might as well get upset with people for playing cards you don't like or playing an aggro or combo deck etc. The problem here isn't with them...

We found us a roper, congratulations. With football the referree will pul out a yellow card for wasting time. Wasting time intentionally to earn that tad bit of xp is just bad. Same like a mosquito sound when your trying to sleep, irritating.
Roping has made casual unplayable... it’s beyond belief, 8 out of 10 times a loser who thinks getting 45 more xp in hearthstone is worth 25 mins of their life...

Casual or ladder? Just trying to figure out if I'm one of those ropers... You know, I enjoy roping casual aggro-tier1-netdecking-idiots from time to time...
Why bother? If you just concede right at the start the XP gain for them is minimal, and you get to move on to a better game. If they want to take a million games just to level up, let them. My time and patience are worth more than one star on the ladder.

Cause he wanted to post here

I see people talk about this a lot but I almost never run into people who rope every turn. What gamemode do you see this happen in so often?
I think this is mostly in ranked, I ran into a few playing standard ladder back when the exp system came out... but no so much anymore.
People who do this are annoying, but it's probably not happening as often as it might seem.

So much selfprojection dude.
The only thing worse than playing against a roper is losing to one
Standard ladder bro, 1 out of 10 games easy. It irritates me so much. You should be able to report.

Just ignore it and watch some youtube in-between the turns...any other action from your side means they won and got to you.
