Aggro decks are the only F2P choice, thats why they never nerf them. They always want a cheap, tier 1, boring deck in play so they can retain F2P players
Tickatus is one of my favorite cards because I love burning my opponents 16-attack kingsbanes and their wretched tillers. Sorry bro but f**k your deck that you copy and pasted off the internet. Specifically why I play tickatus, so I can watch my brain dead opponents playing rez priest cry when I burn their spell stone and 9 mana rez card (forgot the name). And most of the time he doesn’t win the game on the spot against a control deck, more against a combo deck that has combo pieces in which case, that is exactly what tickatus’s effect is supposed to be, a combo tech in a strong control deck; which is control’s weakness. and I think he accomplishes that role brilliantly. One of my favorite cards hands down, next to lorewalker cho and nozdormu (the classic). People that say he’s bad design dont understand design, especially if their argument is that he’s an anti-control card.

"Illucia is mean. I've answered questions like this previously but it's just finding a balance. Some people literally play Hearthstone to cackle and do mean things like Illucia or Tickatus. We make those cards for them. (Source)
The hope is that the niche of players who absolutely love that stuff can do it, but it's a low enough power level that it's not taking over all of Hearthstone. I think the world where Illucia is the best card in Hearthstone is a world we've messed up. (Source)"
As if Tickatus wasn't total braindead too. And the way you think is as well. Control decks designed to destroy other control decks is an idiotic concept. It is like cannibalizing control so that aggro can break free undisturbed. Retardedness at its finest

I already explained how tickatus is more of an anti-combo card than an anti-control card, which is what it is supposed to be. Control is weak against combo decks so tickatus answers that problem perfectly. But again, I explained this in my earlier post so I guess youre brain dead while reading, as well as while playing hearthstone decks you copied and pasted from google.
So basically you tried to play some greedy type of deck, and your opponent played a card that is designed specifically to counter greedy decks that put no pressure on the board. Also on a side note, you can always play combo decks if you really want to, and punish those warlock players, Tickatus comes to play on turn 8 and a lot of combo decks can kill you before turn 8 from what I've seen. Have you ever thought about other players? And Im talking specifically about aggro players that you want to counter with your control deck. They probably have a lot of fun getting their board blown every turn and looking at you healing or armoring up so that they have no chances of winning, and you just sit there smiling. Every deck has its strengths and weaknesses, you can't win every single match, but you can at least try to have fun in this game and not whine on the forums

Sure because your Tickatus is not copy-paste. It is sooo original. Nobody plays it... Please STFU
Because of this ******** Tickatus card. I don't know what Blizzard was thinking.
Now everybody has to play aggro or super fast tempo decks. The usual fun in other words.
Why do they always have to punish control archetypes? Why don't they punish aggro for once?
Not this whine again, please, pretty please.
How many times a day you face Tickatus deck? Are you playing Standard or Wild? What kind and class or deck are you playing? What rank? Can you be more specific?

Bro i’m talking about your copy and pasted deck that you got from hsreplay. I play specifically homebrews, A. Because it’s more fun to actually put thought into your own decks not to mention more rewarding, and B. Because it’s more fun than playing every other overplayed, washed out, bs that people hop on like rez priest, secret mage, kb rogue, and all of demon hunter.
Tickatus goes in my homebrew to make you uncreative f**ks that play these decks cry and hopefully uninstall the game. So you please stfu and keep playing your gay ass rez priest. I hope I come across you on ladder and tickatus 10 of your cards. In fact, i’m gonna start making a deck right now with just tickatus, a 9 mana card, and yshaarj so I can tickatus you, raise dead, tickatus you again, raise dead, tickatus you again, and then yshaarj and tickatus you again. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hahahahaha. First of all you don't even know what I play. I don't even play priest so wrong try again. Who plays rez priest in 2021? It is not even in the meta. What ladder do you play on? The scrubs' one?
Second, homebrew my big ass. You can maybe change 3 or 4 cards but the staple ones are the same for everyone who wants to play Tickatus. I really want to see how original your homebrew is. I'm in for some fat laugh.
I play my own quest shaman, that nobody else plays. This is homebrew. Not Tickatus BS that before the meta went all aggro because of it, everyone and their grandmas were playing. Don't make me laugh really

I don't face it anymore now, OF COURSE SINCE BECAUSE OF IT EVERYONE PLAYS AGGRO
control decks don't work because what is called aggro now has too many ways to generate or draw cards, in the past you could run these kind of decks out resources and leverage card efficiency, those days are long gone. even if tickatus didn't exist control, would be the weakest archetype still.

Alright you obviously play standard and not wild because rez priest is extremely prevalent in wild. Big priest, rez priest same thing. And bro my deck literally has the new yshaarj the old nzoth and both yoggs like how much more original to you want me to get while still at least being a little bit viable. Maybe my zoo warlock deck with renounce darkness and lorewalker cho is original enough? I dont play anything meta bro, like anything. So no I dont switch around 3 or 4 cards, I think of fun stuff to do and start from scratch. And the scrubs ladder? I’ve hit legend enough times to know i’m not a scrub and with my own decks too.
You sound like a scrub though if a card like tickatus is ruining your day enough to post about it
Personally, I like "combo-destroying" cards like Illucia because I've always hated OTK decks, but Illucia is a 3 mana 1-3 naked with a very strong effect, but also a high price to pay (even your opponent can ruin your hand). Tickatus, on the other hand, is simply idiotic and clearly it has a wrong design: 1 - he is a DEMON; 2- it's overstatted (6 mana 8-8!); 3- it's a card with corruption ... WTF Blizzard!
The fact that it is easily corruptible, that additional copies can easily be discovered, the fact that it can be replayed at 0 mana, it makes the card terribly wrong... 10 mana 18-18 destroy the enemy board and destroy the opponent’s deck is simply nonsense, simply idiotic..
Tf is wrong in this thread? This guy is like “I play homebrew! I’m original not like you stupid fucks”
like what? You get that your putting yourself above other people. What kind of shit attitude is that? How uneducated can you be to think you’re better than other people and what makes this even worse, people you’ve never met or actually talked too. Lmao
There are various reasons why control, as an archetype, isn't well-represented in Hearthstone: the game's way of keeping each player's turn fully isolated, the ability to Discover cards that no sane person would ever put in their starting 30, most of the healing/lifegain is mediocre and can't beat decks that deal more than 30 damage at once, and the resource system ensuring that both aggro and control decks have the freedom to cast whatever expensive stuff they want, given enough time. Proactive strategies are simply just better in Hearthstone than reactive ones.
Tickatus is not one of those reasons. It's a class card that sees play in a handful of decks. If you're losing to it then it sucks to be you, but every time you queue up and your opponent isn't a Warlock, then Tickatus isn't a thing you have to worry about.
Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail.

It’s true, simple as that.
There is no counterplay at all as control Deck.
I concede vs Warlock if it’s not aggro.
Even if you try to make pressure as much as possible as a control player, it’s still way too slow.
This Card is just dumb. The design is terrible and the card is wayyyyyy to easy to activate.

Yessir, got him as my level 25 :)
