I find it annoying that this game lacks reports and user punishments for bad behavior being a competitive game.
I have always said it, the worst thing of this game is it’s community. I’ve never seen a community so toxic. They are BM with EMOTES. And the new exp system where long games give you more exp just made the game A LOT worse. Now these incels exploit this and they keep roping every turn, even when they don’t have any plays, waiting for you to concede. It’s a game, it should be fun!
Blizzard should take note of this and do something about it… You even can’t report BM in Hearthstone! Or is it just that the site report system sucks? It’s like a maze.
For example, I just have had a game with a priest that roped since turn 1. It was 40 minutes long. He wanted me to leave the game. On those cases I just won’t quit and win them. They ALWAYS rage quit. He even didn’t played well and his deck had no sense (a res priest with small minions LOL). I won with my Primelock.
This kind of behavior should result on a ban. It’s unaceptable. This is his battletag if it serves any purpose.
********
Photo evidencing the win against that asshole LOL. I obviously roped until he ragequited. Oh the irony.
Notes: Battletag got removed - Naming & Shaming is not allowed
There is a report system, you add person then report him/her. Also dont stress over priest/mage players, they are known to be mentally challenged (theres quite a few synonyms that i couldve used but i might get banned).

I understand that if the other one deletes you or doesn’t adds you, you can’t report him. And if you’re playing from your cellphone you can’t do that.
And I don’t know dude. Quitting just reafirms what they’re doing. Most of them are actually REALLY bad players and if you have patience you can win them. I usually concede if I’m playing something that just can’t win in fatigue. Otherwise I kick their asses.
Second: emotes and BM are in the eye of the beholder. Squelch if you don't want to see emotes and concede if you think they take too long to kill you.
Third: the turn is the time the devs gave them to think about their turn or do whatever they want. It is annoying if you have to wait, but again: they are allowed to use that time and you can concede if you don't like it.
Instead Blizzard should reduce the turn timer since 2min is way too long anyway or maybe make a ranked mode with reduced turn timer.
Also they should reward faster plays instead of slow plays meaning more exp for fast played turns - like in chess where you want to make your move fast.
Also don't let BM emotes get to you - I laugh when people BM - normally im on top at that point and they have given up.

Yeah. I usually squelch them. But I find it dumb and it should be something punisheable. Competitive games should have BM zero tolerance. Hearthstone is the only one that actually allows it.
I just can’t believe some people here are actually defending this kind of behaviour saying “they are free to do it”... I guess you all are part of the problem and like to do that stuff. Who knows what kind of childhood you guys had...
By no means I don’t have any problem if they take their time for playing. But if they do it on turn 1 with no plays, and after they spent all of their mana... That’s BM.

Bro, if you squelch them there is nothing you have to be triggered about, it's your choice and you can't complain as long as you can avoid emote spam. Wait and see other games like cs go, lol, dota and overwatch where there are toxic enemies as well as toxic teammates with a public chat. At least in hearthstone you play solo and there is no chat room during matches. And the timer is fine as it is. I understand some people exploit this to get more xp but blizzard should never punish those who think their plays because of that. Back in cube warlock meta I literally was the kind of player who would rope almost every turn setting up a good defile, or trying to pop cubes or make the best trades, that deck was the definition of a puzzle game for lethal. Most of the times I wished my turns wouldn't end so fast because many rope moments led to my defeat. That doesn't mean I BMed my opponents and a report system would just result in people reporting out of frustration. If the system is automatic, there will be lots of banned people for no reason or blizzard will need a team to review 100.000 reports every day and I'm sure no one would like that.
Not defending these people by any means but, u can't report a player because he/she is using all their time on the rope! being a douche(I rarely encounter this types) or not, thinking or BMing its their choice, not yours. Hearthstone like other card games is a game that requires patience, If u dont have, then u r playing the wrong game. Sometimes a match can be done quickly, others not.
Posting another players battletag and calling him out is a douche move. That’s what should be reported. I can’t even ... like what kind of Randall behavior is that?
i hope admins delete the post tbh. It’s so fucked up to do stuff like that. I prefer ropers, BM and emotes way over this thread and your behavior.
The game has a reporting system. You should use it. Naming and shaming players on this forum is a no-no.
lastly, you complain that someone should be reported and banned for roping. And then at the end of your rant you literally admit to doing the same thing. so... good luck with the ban I guess?
Since there is no direct communications in this game, a standard created to prevent fragile types from complaining about "toxicity in the community", you lost the ability to have a paper trail for "abuse". Good luck enforcing perceived intent Minority Report.

If he dows not accept your friend request AND YOU PLAY ON DESKTOP, go to the battlenet launcher, click friends - settings - and choose Send friend invites - there are all sent friend requests.
If you play on mobile, there is no way IMO - but I will be happy if someone knows more and will correct me.

Although I agree with you that this community has gotten way more toxic than it used to be over the years, queue into a game of R6 if you want to see real toxicity. Just squelch and concede if they rope. Dont give them the exp they’re so desperately trying to acquire.
Banning for using emotes?? Emotes are part of the game implemented by Blizzard themselves. Besides, there is always a squelce button if you are triggered by this.
Honestly, wanting to report / ban someone for using an ingame feature that was intended for this very purpose, is like next asking for a report button to ban players who netdeck, or who rope. Making requests like these really don't make you look like a reasonable person and simply sound rather entitled at best. Not meaning to be intentionally insulting by this, just pointing out objectively that it comes across badly.

My advice : concede those game , it's a juts one in the many you will play in your life...
Don't spend time with those kind of person.
Globaly, I am ok with you on two points : we need auto squelch, and we could report easily.
Three days ago I played vs "Adolf88", seriously...

The best thing to do against these people is simply win the game.
So you propose banning for wasting the time of another? The true irony there would be you banned from Hearthpwn, no?
First: don't post personal information.
Second: emotes and BM are in the eye of the beholder. Squelch if you don't want to see emotes and concede if you think they take too long to kill you.
