I opened a ticket and was told it was apples fault snd to open a ticket with Apple.
Have you opened a ticket with Apple? Mine still isn't working and I don't even bother playing now as can't be arsed with having to reinstall all the time. Going to cost me as well as I would use daily gold for the next expansion and I'm losing gold now through not playing
There is one workaround that seems to work consistently: log out (switch account) before exiting the app. You can force a re-logon by resetting your password through a browser first and then just make sure to always log out first, before exiting the app.
This is also why a re-install works once: you have to log on for the first time after installing.

I’ll have to try this. Works on my iPhone no problem but the iPad Air 2 is no go. Apple said it’s a software problem and not related to the hardware. Seems like it’s not getting fixed anytime soon
Also... The log out log in thing only occasionally works. Like now just entered my log in details to log back in and it's frozen on launch. Will need reinstalling again. Driving me insane now. Must be someone I can pursue about it
Same issue on ipad mini! If I delete the app and re-load it works but then a soon as I log out the issue returns. I also noticed a US forum going bonkers about this.

i had HS back the whole day. two hours ago after a disc —> same problem again
seems like there is hope for all mobile players like me
Same Issue here Im using an Ipad air2 with ios 14.4. Everytime you wanna play HS u have to reinstall it.

Since the last update (yesterday or the day before) the problem has gone away for me.
Yes they fixed it yesterday. About fucking time.
